This place was a major disappointment and a poor excuse for Greek food. If Unilocal allowed for negative stars this sorry joint would receive –5. A Greek restaurant that doesn’t have lamb Gyros? Really? Not just that but at 8:30 pm they had no lamb at all, in any form. Oh, they also didn’t have any Spanakopita. Poor management running out of these staples of Greek food so early in the evening. To make matters worse the hostess/waitress did not know the menu at all. If this place lasts another year it would be a miracle. In fact I predict failure within that time frame. Mediocre Greek food that is way to expensive for what it is. What a waste of my money & time. There are several places on the mainland that serve fantastic Greek food and I for one don’t mind driving all the way down to Kendall or Coral Gables to get it.

This is a solid offering in Miami Beach. The gyros here are pork or chicken, for some reason lamb in Miami is rare which is annoying. I opted for chicken, but I should try the pork as people say it’s very good as well. They have a good lunch special that comes with a Salad and Fries. The Salad was good, aside from the yellow Italian dressing they use which is very generic and salty. I should have just asked for oil and vinegar. The tzadiki was also a bit bland, it needs more garlic and cucumber versus being so heavy on the yoghurt only. The fries were excellent and the price was good. I would come back and try the pork. They have parking in the back, even though there was only a few patrons in the place, there were no spaces so I had to find something on the street.

Simply delicious! Ordered the pork gyro platter with rice and traditional salad and a second gyro. This was more than enough for 2 of us! The gyros are packed with meat and flavorful! The rice and salad are big enough to share so no need to order two platters. Best greek food on the beach and easy on our wallets!

I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one surprised by GBG. Miami! Listen to me: stop frustrating my efforts to enjoy good Greek food(meaning: the way I like/want it) on the beach. While I am glad to see the GBG has updated the menu, when I went there there were no gyros made from lamb. Allow me to repeat this: no gyros with lamb meat. And while I am learned enough to know that chicken and pork are the classic, old school options, I was really in the mood for some lamb. I mean points for authenticity, but help a guy out. With sushi joints that slather maki rolls in mayo(gross) and Chinese restaurants that serve teriyaki chicken and phở(huh?), there’s already precedent to cater to the(slightly wacked out) American palate. Cater to me… por favor. But no one brought me my slippers, my dinner or so much more. I was hungry and really had a taste for a gyro — one with lamb… but since that wasn’t happening and I was there, I went with the pork and an order of fries. The fries were under-seasoned and the gyro… was made with pork. It was fine. Good, even… but I really wanted lamb.

Phone got officially disconnected today. Walked by last week and the sign said they would«reopen soon.» All those 10% off discounts to the Miami Beach Po-lice must have finally crippled them… filthy pigs. EDIT: Apparently, they are back in business as of January 24, 2013. Rumors of people walking around in the dark while the restaurant remain closed were found to be true. I just called the old number and they said business is back to normal(whatever that means).

This place is just a few blocks from my office so I decided to stop and give it a try. Pros: Clean, Fast, Friendly, Quiet, Indoor/Outdoor seating options, meat comes off of a spit. Cons: NOLAMB gyros!!! Just chicken or PORK. :(Next time maybe I’ll go with Souvlaki. I ordered a lunch special. 1 Pork Gyro, Fries, and a Drink.

This is the best gyro in south beach. The pork is flavorfull and delicious. If you get the platter you can add another gyro for 5 bucks. With the platter includes a salad and fries. With the 2nd gyro it is enough for two and only $ 16.00 a bargain for the beach. I will be back whenever I have a gyro craving. Thank you Greco Boys!

Pretty good place great location easy in and out through the back where there is parking. Had the chicken gyro which was deliciously fresh and warm. They make their own pita bread and meals are cooked to order. Inexpensive food option on south beach. I will def. return.

I read many reviews, and hesitated to walk in. I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is super clean. I love a place when it’s really well kept, it says plenty about their kitchen. I ordered a chicken kebob with rice, salad, tzatziki sauce and pita bread. There weren’t many customers, but then again, it was a little late(9pm on a Wednesday.) We ordered and without asking, received table service from a place that’s more of a quick serve. The waitress was very friendly and the cooks were also engaging. The food had good flavor, cooked well too. The portion is good enough for me, but that’s because I paid for an additional kebob. About $ 16.95. The side salad was a decent portion, served in a bowl with their very own dressing and topped with a slice of feta cheese. Everything was fresh, cooked to order, and I left happy. I will visit again.

Best. Gyro. in. South Beach. Wait, do I need to tag this? Okay, I’ll make it easy for you: #bestgyro #souvlaki #pork #gyros #miamibeach #chicken #greek #bestgreek Take it from me, a renowned Gyro-aficionado. The gyros here are tasty, filling, and well prepared; in fact, I usually order delivery and it comes flaming hot. I’ll say it again, cool? Best. Gyro. in. South Beach.

Greek food by greeks. Just sit in there and order and you will see you are not alone in thinking how amazing the food is. They are constantly cranking out the food. Theo is the best, day in and day out pride in every single dish that leaves his kitchen which is the cleanest in Miami Beach. Notice the care in food prep and cleanlines for example the latex gloves always changed and worn. BEST Tzatziki ever!!! Being a recent quasi vegetarian, I only eat meat once a week. I have hands down been going here for my meat fix… The Gyros are devine and the Solvakis are just as close to Zeus! The greek salads… forget it! Im getting hungry Im out of here

hell yes! gbg, i am so glad greco boys grill is only a block away from my office because this means i get to have souvlaki practically whenever i feel like it. check this out. for a bit less than 11 $(tax included) you get souvlaki(on pita bread or skewer) and two sides. you must get their greek salad, its awesome. the other options are rice and/or fries. great deal for such good meal. filling and delicious. youre around the beach? give it a shot. you dont eat meat? well, youre fucked. also; everything here is made to order so i suggest you dont come by if youre on your 30 minute lunch break, on a rush, or if you just think youre a big shot and need your order like N O W. in which case, i suggest you go to mcdonalds right around the block.

So I just ordered lunch from here, and was not very impressed. I had the pork gyro, which although it had a lot of meat, almost too much I’d say, had very little Tzatziki(which was the best part), and onions. My first bite yielded a somewhat gristly/greasy piece of pork, so that was a bad start and I eventually removed most of the meat(kitty was happy) and added some of the feta I had ordered on the side to make it a little tastier. The meat was very juicy but I felt it lacked a little spice. Perhaps I should have ordered the chicken which is more my speed than pork. I do believe that anyone who really loves pork would have thoroughly enjoyed this wrap. The real disappointing part of the meal however, was the Tarama. I love, love, love Tarama and was shocked to open up the container to find in the aluminum container a runny Pepto Bismol Pink dip, rather than a light pink/creamy colored fluffy one. The color also reminded me of Pink Slime, which has been so much in the news lately. Nevertheless, I decided to NOT eat with my eyes and braved a try on a piece of pita. I even ventured a second and a third, but by then I had ran out of hope. Veredict: a tasteless or rather wrong tasting experience that in no way resembles any Tarama I have ever eaten before. Indeed the delicious Tarama served at OPA, or in Balans Greek sampler, Mykonos on Coral Way or at restaurants in other parts of the US and Europe, as well as canned stuff available at Epicure or Whole Foods or at a Parisian supermarket(Tarama with Smoked Salmon anybody?) holds no resemblance to this unpleasant stuff. From the vile color, the presentation to the flavor it was a total miss. Sadly it will be going in the trash.(This is a recurring experience I am having far too often lately, throwing away delivery food is not a good trend. Where is the love in the kitchen?). So the little I got out of the Tzatziki tasted really good, the Pita was nice, albeit a bit tough and there was certainly nothing wrong with the Feta. Perhaps we’ll give the place a second shot. If so I promise to update, we’ll see what color the Melizanosalata is and review the Chicken Gyro.

GBG is totally craveworthy! Located on Alton between Dade Blvd and 17th St., this is a difficult location to make a restaurant work, but the GBG crew seem to be seasoned professionals in the resto biz, so hopefully they stick around. This is a great lunch spot. Food comes out fresh and fast and is surprisingly cheap. Grab a lunch combo off the back of the menu for under $ 10 and you’ll be plenty full. I’ve had: Veggie Gyro — A bit thin on the veggies and heavy on the sauce, but tomatoes were delicious and the pita, perfection Chicken Gyro — One of my last chicken meals before turning vegetarian, this was worth the cheat. Tender and so well seasoned! Fries — Circular potato slices which seem to be homemade. Crispy on the outside and warm potato goodness on the inside. Add a pinch of salt and you’re good to go Greco Boys Salad — This one is an American style salad, with iceberg lettuce and trimmings. Small is a sizeable portion and the added herbs and spices make it delectable Not sold yet? Remember I told you it was under $ 10! Downright cheap for sobe. And, they deliver. Service in restaurant is friendly and attentive. So I’ll see you there soon. Bottom Line: Fresh, fast, and fun, GBG delivers the goods when you crave Greek.

I went to Greco Boys Grill with the intention of having an authentic gyro as advertised. When I arrived my first impression was of the mural on the walls. It’s an ode to Greece and I thought it was interesting. I then proceeded to the cashier and asked her for a gyro, she then asked me whether I wanted chicken or pork. I was taken aback that their authentic gyros weren’t lamb. Since I was already there, I decided to just get the chicken gyro. The gyro was nothing out of this world. It was good but overall I thought it was just OK. I had my heart set on having a lamb gyro and when I found out they didn’t even offer it I couldn’t fully enjoy my meal. If I am ever in the mood for a chicken gyro I may give this place another chance.

I was really looking forward to eating the Greek. Rather the Moussaka, I love moussaka. I read the reviews and decidedly never thought it would be Greek fast food, But, it is, and I stayed under protest, or mainly because I got great parking. But, was I glad I stayed. For fast food, this guy can cook. He can throw a healthy try of eggplant, hummas, grape leaves together, and the the souvlaki was excellent, as well as the chicken skewers. For fast food, it was excellent food. The owner/chef, gave us some dessert and since I can’t pronounce it, I sure could eat it. The food was great. Talking to the owner, I told him how much I wanted moussaka, I was craving it. He said that eventually he’ll introduce it, along with other items such as gyro sliders, the biggest damn gyro in the world, an 8 pounder, and that tasty Greek lemon soup. Hey, I walked in with a three star review on my mind and after eating here, this place should have a line around the corner!

So I went here specifically to try the Chicken Gyro, but they were out! SO I had the chicken skewers instead. The spice on the chicken was a bit too strong(not spicy/hot; just over bearing). However, the pita and hummus are very good. I will go back and try it again. Hopefully I can up-adjust the rating.

This place has been open now for about two months. And in those two months I have been back around 6 times. So it’s only fitting I leave a review. The place décor was nice and simple and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Theo is one of the owners and he rocks. He made me this Gyro with the pork, fries, onions, tomatoes, tzatziki, and ketshup It was way bomb. Also, they have one of the best hummus in town. Most Hummus around here tend to be a bit bland, but at Greco Boys Grill, the pita and hummus is almost to die for. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to try this place. We need small businesses like these to pop up in South Beach more often! and once you keep going back, they remember you so when you actually come to eat there again it feels like you are visiting family. So GOTEATNOW!!!

Wow finally a Authentic Greek restaurant in Miami Beach, this place is legit. It has the makings of my new favorite lunch spot. Warm pits bread and hummus! CHef in the front working! All this equates into great Gyros!!! Thanks for opening
