Nexxt Cafe

My co workers and I loved this place. Location was nice. We sat outside since it was a beautiful day. When we first enter, the host wasn’t too welcoming. But ok we ignored that. Than our waiter came over, (Gary). And Holy shit this guy was soooooo rude. Sorta of a smart ass and not helpful at all. Aside from those two moments we had, the food was great. Chicken scampi was awesome. I took off 1 star for the services. I did want to call and complain to the manager, but I just figured Gary was having a bad day. So let’s hope he can better himself. I will be coming again to try it with my husband and I hope I experience better service next time around. If not, I will not be coming to this café any again.

This place is terrible. The wait was interminable for food and the waitress was not attentive. All other tables were offered bread. We had to ask for ours. The pasta di pana was covered in garlic and olive oil to the point that it was inedible. The Mac and cheese appetizer was decent. The lemonade was very sweet. This is a tourist trap. Avoid at all costs.

Because the food was so good and the service fast & friendly I’ll give it 4 stars; Was a hot day so we were inside, my good friend with his wife & gradson and daughter & boyfriend invited me to join them at one of their favorites on Lincoln Rd and it was a beautiful relaxing dinner.
Only drawback is if you need to use the restrooms, they are actually outisde of the restaurant (not sure where!)
I had the chicken parm sandwich (which was great) after we all shared some terrific appetizers including mushrooms and others.
Great location outside to people watch also!

Too bad the service is so bad here because the food and location are both top notch. We chose to have brunch here on Father’s Day. The place was not at all crowded, seating available throughout so although I have had issues with the service here before, we decided to give it a try. Our coffee arrived and the sugar came about 10 minutes later (coffee was at best like warm by that time). When our meals arrived they were incorrect. Stated to the person that set it on our table that it was incorrect and were told our server would be right with us. Another 15 minutes of waiting for the server and the manager and it was finally explained to us that the server pressed the wrong button when placing our order. This time I won’t be back

Service is non existent. I had to ask for a waiter to take my order and get up several times to get plates and extra napkins to avoid waiting for the waitress to ever even look at us. The food is so saturated it’s disgusting. I was starving and didn’t finish my food. Yuck. The portions are huge, you could definitely share it but it tastes aweful. Typical restaurant on the beach… Shitty food, expensive and crappy service.

Well, if you like large portions of bland, unhealthy food, this is great.
We came here specifically because it looked like there would be some real vegetarian options on Lincoln Road: the kale-​spinach antioxidant salad being a prime example.
Said salad (ordered without dressing) came drenched in dressing, with nary a spinach or kale leaf to be seen.
The chicken DaVinci’s flavor came entirely from the capers; the chicken itself could best be described as rubbery and the asparagus undercooked.
The bistro shrimp pasta was so drenched in its cream sauce as to make it nauseating.
Oh, and to begin the meal we ordered some guacamole. It was flavorless. We asked multiple times for hot sauce, so we could doctor it up ourselves, along with some salt and pepper. There was no hot sauce in the house; the best they could do was some chipotle mayo.

Out for a weekend wind down before heading to an event later, friends chose this restaurant. What to say? It’s relaxing, nice loungy chairs you can sit back on. Perfect for people watching. The staff were courteous and not hurried at 6pm on a Sunday (then again it wasn’t fully packed with customers.) we chose to dine outdoors, the sun in a perfect angle to allow heat to slowly dissipate throughout the meal and an absolute plus for having fans blowing air instead of suffocating in Miami’s glorious humidity. We were able to relax and enjoy.
As for the food: One friend highly recommended and ordered the Deep fried Mac n Cheese balls appetizer. Let me rephrase this by saying «Holy Mac n Cheese Balls Batman!» A fantastic blend of deep fried crunchiness with creamy interior. The contrast in textures play well! Grated Parmesan on top with PLENTY of delicious alla vodka sauce and sprinkled parsley made this so addicting.
Onto the main course: Ordered their Nexxt Burrito Grande. It surely lives up to its name. Honkin huge! Stuffed with sooo much stuff was hard to find the chicken. Definitely lots of corn, cilantro rice, onions and peppers, a ton of salsa on top as well a plethora of salsa sauce all around. So much salsa flavor that you lose most of the cilantro taste (barely noticeable) and all of the savory chicken taste.
They were creative presenting the side of black beans and shredded cheese for which you pour over the burrito or with each bite. It helps add back in some deeper flavor. I wish this burrito could have been more balanced out. Dinner was especially a step down, nothing to mmm about or go crazy about since the appetizer was so great… Yeap that could have been a fantastic dinner!
But, at least you get your money’s worth since there will be leftovers (I’m Mr. Leftovers when spending money!) So although everything else is nice, including the staff, I think it’s initially worth 4 stars.
Tip: Ask the hostess or waitress for the security code for the bathroom. A plus knowing that only those eating here are only using the bathroom instead of being full of the rest of the tourists.

My husband and I are on vacation for our anniversary after shopping we decided to stop and eat at NEXXT, the first time we tried the restaurant we waited a while the server wasn’t that great, but the food made up for our experience, my husband is in love with the portions that we decide to go back, ones again the survice was horrible, a group got serve before we did SMH, they had one person serving everyone in the restaurant, I see why he always looks so unhappy.
Good food but service sucks.

Stopped here for lunch while visiting South Beach. Ordered the chicken piccata — very good!

Good food but everyone that works here is lost, nobody knows where the food goes it take FOREVER to see the server again, the food takes forever and the drinks too

Conveniently located on Lincoln Road, Nexxt Café is one of those places that has something for everyone in your party without breaking the bank.
We started with the fried macaroni and cheese balls which were HUGE. They came 4 to an order and surrounded by a really flavorful tomato sauce, which was perfect for sopping up with our deep fried carb bombs.
To balance out the unhealthy, I had the vegan cobb salad which was an interesting take on a classic cobb. With roasted beets, asparagus, beans, avocado, and quinoa, it was a really hearty salad and a great portion size. The vinaigrette was very light and flavorful as well.
It’s an unfussy space, but the food was solid and I would heartily come back again for their extensive menu.

Perfect location! Huge menu with something for everyone. Many dishes can be shared, they serve huge amounts of food.
Service is average so lower your expectations and enjoy the environment and food.
Hamburgers have awesome presentation… highly recommended.

I love this place. Indoor and outdoor seating. Right in the heart of Lincoln road. I had super antioxidant salad and I would recommend it to all salad lovers. The lemon blueberry vinaigrette was delicious. It had blueberries, roasted pears, acai ado, kale and others greens that were perfectly tossed together to create a scrumptious melody in my mouth. It was very filling and only for $ 10.50!!! I couldn’t believe it considering the large portion. My party of 9 tried some and loved it too! Everyone at the table had everything from burgers to breakfast and everyone loved their orders. I tried my husbands sweet potato fries and loved those too. All the portions were big enough to share. Service was average. They seat large groups and quickly!

This place is always one of my favorites on Lincoln Rd. The best part about this place is the menu has everything your looking for. If your in the mood for Thai food and your friend is in the mood for mexican this would be the place for you.
They have seating inside and out but, i always sit outside because there is always entertainment in the strip.
The food is also delicious the best place to park if you are in the area is the municipal parking that is in the center of Lincoln rd. The parking is $ 1.00 an hour.
The food ranges in prices from $ 12 to $ 25 a plate.
It’s a cool unique spot that is a definite staple in the strip.
The best thing about lincoln rd is having some great lunch and then after checking out the fresh markets and all the great shopping around the area.

The purpose for the 3 stars is simple, we had the pleasure of dining here for lunch. It was my wife, son, brother, his girlfriend and I. We were seated right away [so far, so good right]. As we are sitting drinks were ordered and then I feel a drop of water look up the AC unit is leaking. We asked to be moved and that was no problem. In the mist of it all and looking up I must say it was disgusting, who knows when was the last time they really did a full cleaning of this restaurant. Of course we all pondered the same [like how does the kitchen look]. A bit worried, why yes we were! If chef Ramsey saw this ceiling I swear he would shut this place down. Now it kind of made sense why people ate outside. Our food finally arrived and I must say AMAZING, it actually makes you forget about that ceiling while your eating. My brother had a Philly cheese steak sandwich, his girl had some eggs, our son had fried chicken sliders [YUUUMMMMMMY] my wife ordered a bacon bacon burger and I a parmesan burger [Brilliant]. Trust me would’ve loved to give this place 5 stars. I just can’t, I will never understand how one can’t take the time to clean. Especially with a chef that can make AMAZING food like that. Hopefully the owners or management reads this and get it right. If not I guess it’s outside dining.

We live a few blocks away and we do understand we will wait a long time for service here but they have a big menu to satisfy the needs of any group.
Today we arrived with a group of six to entertain and despite some empty tables they could easily move together and an entirely closed section they refused to serve six.
Must be nice to be so successful but they won’t have to worry about serving us anytime in the future. Maya was great however.

Price is tourist price, but every time I eat it is always delish!
It is definitely a busy place– Monday or Saturday.
Daytime or evening.
Inside or outside– I like outside.
Hostesses always seem to have a RBF. (Resting Bitch Face), but I chalk it up to always moving and being busy.
They also clear out the tables-​sooo– I can bypass that.
Our waiter was Nikola A-​from Montenegro– super nice, professional and expedient with the service.
Tip is not included in the bill so people do not eat there if you cannot tip accordingly.

El servicio un desastre!!!
Éramos 3 personas y la hostes nos quería sentar en una mesa muy pequeña como para 1 persona habiendo más mesas libres (aunque algunas sin limpiar), nosotros elegimos una mesa más grande y le preguntamos si por favor podíamos sentarnos ahi y ella nos tiró los menú sobre la mesa con muy mala actitud y se retiró …pasaron casi 15 min y llamamos a la mesera porque ya estábamos listos para ordenar, a lo que la mesera contestó estoy ocupada 15 minutos después nos toma la orden de las bebidas… pasando casi 30 minutos mas le tubimos que pedir a otro mesero que nos tomará la orden de la comida… el pasa la orden de la comida y recién llegan las bebidas (pedimos una coca cola sin hielo y lo trajeron con hielo)…
Una hora después y porque hablamos con un encargado nos llega la comida, el filete minion totalmente frio, dos platos de pasta carbonara fríos y la pasta toda pegada… obviamente no íbamos a comer eso… tubieron la atención de no cobrarnos los platos, pero eso no compensa el mal momento que pasamos y la espera de casi 2 horas…
La excusa fue estamos busy, mi respuesta fue ese no es problema del cliente…
No creo que vuelvamos ni que recomendemos ese lugar…

A little disappointed at the fact that they brought my breakfast out cold. I ate my food because I was starving and to my dismay I found hair on my food.
I gave a low score because of the slow service and serving cold food with hair on it.

SCHADE… wir sind absolute Steak Liebhaber und so suchten wir in unserem dritten Urlaub in Miami wieder unser Lieblingslokal «Nexxt» auf und freuten uns schon auf das tolle New Jork Sirloin Steak. Doch wurden wir leider enttäuscht statt des leckeren hohen saftigen Fleisches kam eine dünne mit Sehnen und Fett durchzogene Oblate die für einen Preis von 22,95 Dollar pro Person ein Frechheit ist!!! Das ist abzocke und wir werden nach zahlreichen besuchen nun das Lokal meiden.

This seems to be my go to spot for dining on Lincoln Road and I’ll tell you the peaks and pits:
Peaks:
*HUGE portions– I’m talking humungous. I suggest you come here with a mighty appetite
*The menu has endless variety, which could be a downfall for some, because its a bit overwhelming, but I like the options. There is literally every type of cuisine, so no matter what you’re craving they’ll have something for you.
*Great outdoor seating for people watching
*Good cocktail menu
*Usually packed, but I’ve never had to wait longer than 5 mins for a table
Pits:
*Very touristy. If that isn’t your scene, chose something else, although that is the norm in this area.
*Service isn’t excellent. Since it’s always packed, it seems like the wait staff is stretched a bit thin.
If you do decide to eat here, and I suggest you do if you’re in the area and looking for some good food and you’re VERY hungry at the same time, I highly suggest you order the fried mac n’ cheese balls. They are AMAZE-​balls.
I appreciate this restaurant for what it is and you should too!

NO HAY NI ORDEN NI CONCIERTO Y POR NO HABER NI LIMPIEZA !!!
Esta tarde decidimos tomar algo en Nexxt Café, cuando llegamos se acerco una camarera aparentemente Rusa, rubia con trenza y ojos azules. se acerco con rapidez y nos pregunto por la bebida y acontinuacion nos tomo orden, aunque el lugar no invita mucho, ni reluce de mucha LIMPIEZA … la terraza luce muy desordenada y sillas, suelo SUCISIMO !!! .
Fuimos 6 personas y se interpreta que tienen que salir todos los platos juntos al mismo tiempo, para comer juntos, no es MARCHA Y PASA !!
Ni deben salir los platos por orden de altura de comensal !!! Creii que era por esto, el retraso !! :-))))
La bebida salio en 10 minutos y atendida por la chica Rusa y rubia que abrio la mesa y se presento como camarera nuestra.
A los 20 minutos llegan las Patatas Fritas, atendidas por un chico moreno, que fue dando vueltas por las mesas de la terraza y preguntando sin saber cual era el destino de las Fritas… TOTALMENTE ANTI-​PROFESIONAL !!
15 minutos mas tarde sale 1 PIZZA… EL RESTO DE LA MESA MIRANDO!!!
Pasan 15 minutos y llega a la mesa 1 plato de Quesadillas… y Guacamole .Bien !! Ya falta menos !!! LAMENTABLE !!!
Llamando a los camareros, levantando los brazos y nos ignoraban. La rubiales de Rusia con trenza, desaparecida !!!
Posterior se levanta uno de nosotros y nos acercamos al interior para preguntar, respuesta de un empleado cualquiera… ya que la camarera desaparecio, voy a chequear en cocina !!! Ok !
Y Finalmente despues de 1 hora y 15 minutos llego la SEGUNDA PIZZA y la Ensalada… Mesa completa !! atendida por una camarera morena de pelo corto. DE PELICULA PARA LLORAR !!!
Yyyy como tienen la falta de respeto y desfachatez de cargar el 18% de Gratuity TIP (PROPINA) si NO se la han ganado !!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy and that says a lot about the experience I literally just had.
It also says a lot that I literally just left and Amy typing this as I walk to my car.
So you go to the hostess and wait. You wait for someone to acknowledge the fact that you’re standing there waiting to be sat.
Then they seat you and you wait again. You wait a good 10 minutes before someone acknowledges the fact that you’re sitting there and would like a beverage and maybe some food.
Make sure to order everything at once. I mean you’ve had your menu for so long at this point you should have your order memorized.
You order, wait some more, maybe get a refill? And then some runner brings your food. You might get asked how your food is and then you never see your server again until the bill comes.
If you’re not familiar with the food, Nexxt is a Cheesecake Factory clone and I will admit, I love the factory, this place totally ruins it for you.
Do not under any circumstances eat here. If you feel like wasting your money, I’ll send you my PayPal account.

Essen war mehr als ausreichend die Preise waren auch o. k. absolut weiter zu empfehlen Cocktails waren lecker

Schöné Terrasse, gute Leute, riesige Portionen für verhältnismäßig niedrige Preise. Dazu sehr aufmerksamer Service. Kann man also durchaus empfehlen. Und mein Cuba Libre hatte locker 8cl Rum.

Das Essen ist sehr frisch! Und sehr lecker! Cocktails zum halben Preis. Obwohl viel los war, hat es die Servicekraft immer geschafft unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Auf jedenfall empfehlenswert.

Im Nexxt ist sehr viel los, das ist ein Nachteil, da es nicht wirklich zum gemütlichen Rumhängen einlädt. Da alle recht eng aufeinander gedrängt sitzen und ein ständiges Kommen und Gehen herrscht, ABER andererseits spricht der konstante Andrang auch wieder für den Laden, denn bei den vielen Alternativen in der Umgebung muss es einen Grund geben wieso auch wir ein zweites Mal dorthin kamen. Das sind zum einen die moderaten Preise zu denen man wirklich sehr leckeres Essen und ordentlichen bis riesigen Portionen bekommt. 2 Maine Hummer für 24,99 $ sind schon ein Angebot. Mein Essen hätte etwas mehr Soße vertragen können, da sie wirklich schmackhaft war, aber andererseits habe ich dann die Nudeln nicht aufgegessen, was angesichts der Portionsgröße wohl die richtige Entscheidung war. Zudem gibt es eine große Auswahl an Speisen.

SUPER Küche, SUPER Umgebung, sehr empfehlenswert!

Riesige Auswahl, riesige Portionen, gutes Essen für moderate Preise, freundliche Kellner und das Ganze auf der Flaniermeile von South Beach.

Die Portionen im Nexxt waren riesig, hab die Halefte mitgenommen ;)
Die Karte bietet ziemlich alles, das Orange chicken war genial.
Man kann super draussen sitzen und die Leute beim Flanieren beobachten. Wer nicht reserviert, muss unter Umstaenden etwas warten bis er einen Tisch bekommt. Der Service war ok, Preise typisch fuer Miami.
Wer noch nie in Mia war und nicht weiss wohin, kann gut und gerne mal im Nexxt vorbeischauen :)

Riesige Portionen bietet das Nexxt. Das Essen ist eher international, man bekommt tolle Burger aber auch Thai Gerichte. Ist direkt an der Lincoln Rd., man kann den hübschen Menschen beim spazieren zu sehen. Das Essen ist gut zubereitet, die Wartezeiten können schon einaml etwas länger sein. Preise für Miami angemessen. Ich empfehle unbedingt zu reservieren.
