I’m a little late in writing this review as I visited this store several times during a vacation to Miami in September 2012 :) In a touristy district where half the stores are selling your typical tourist commodities and attractions(see: «YOLO» t-shirts, swimsuits, club gear, the Kardashian boutique, and the ice cream store where The Jersey Shore cast worked), Ocean in Heaven was a breath of fresh air! One of my friends was drawn in by the advertisement for the Henna(Jagua) tattoos. She proceeded to have her wrist and forearm tattooed while my other friend and I hit up the oxygen bar/massage chairs. For under $ 20.00(which is very reasonable when you consider the price of everything else in Miami beach), I relaxed in one of the best full-body massage chairs I’ve every experienced. I was also inhaling oxygen which is supposed to be rejuvenating. I don’t know whether it was the oxygen and/or having the stress kneaded out of me, but 20 minutes later — I felt great! My friend who was also having the massage/oxygen bar experience was having such a relaxing time that she fell into a pretty deep sleep. The store owner was kind enough to let her sleep(and continue inhaling the oxygen at no additional cost) until our other friend was finished with her henna tattoo.(She was in such a deep sleep that I had to go over to her and shake her so we could leave :) After her Jagua dried, my friend was very pleased with the results.(I saw another reviewer had an experience where her Jagua did not ever dry. My friend’s Jagua was dry later that night(within 8 hours, but I don’t remember the exact time). She did have some blue staining on the tips of the hand she used to pick off the paste the next day, but she also didn’t follow the artist’s directions to wash her hands thoroughly and immediately after peeling off the paste. So my recommendation would be to use a gloved hand or wash your hand really well to peel off the Jagua to prevent staining.) My friend liked her Jagua tattoo so much that she got her other forearm done a few days later. While my friend was getting her second Jagua tattoo, the rest of us had scheduled Tarot card readings. It was my first Tarot card reading and I was very pleased by the insightfulness of the man reading my cards. I would definitely try it again! All in all, Ocean in Heaven is truly a gem. For the tourist who wants to have a new/different experience that doesn’t feel so touristy, this is the place to go. The general vibe of the services and products offered in the store, encourage spiritual exploration. Whether you decide to dive fully into a spiritual journey or just try the«Hangover Remedy»(oxygen bar and massage chair), Ocean in Heaven has something to offer everyone!

They Advertise Henna Tattoos, but actually do Jagua. The girl had a super steady hand and made an awesome tattoo. I will give he rthat! The fact that I paid $ 85.00 for 2 tattoos(me and my sister) — absolute rip-off! The prices in her book were different. when I asked, she was like. Oh, i just haven’t updated them — BAD business sense, girl! Now Henna dries up and falls off, leaving a smooth dark color on your skin that looks great for about a week. Is healthy for your skin and very popular everywhere. This is what I thought I was going in for. The girl however used Jagua — again, lying on your sign boards — BAD business sense! It NEVER dries up, messes up your clothes and when you try to rinse it off — it leaves dark marks everywhere. on your hands, clothes, skin. gah. ugh!!! My entire tattoo looked like it was smudged. sigh :(I dont know if there was another way to take the ink off(since it did not dry), but if there was, she never mentioned it, and the entire time she lead us to believe that this was just like henna. WRONG! NEVERAGAIN! The girl who does tattoos only rents in the store. The 2 stars are for the store, cuz it is really nice. It is pricey($ 20.00 for a tiny knick-knack ?) But the lady who runs it was super friendly and nice, the place has a very calm feel to it, it smells wonderful. sort of hippie-ish, but still nice. Did not but anything, since the tattoo girl made me go broke. sigh
