Brunch was amazing. There was so much to choose from at the buffet. The ordered some oysters and branzino as well and that was amazing as well. Our waiter, Jason, was great and kept the mimosas and bellinis coming.

They gave my boyfriend food poisoning. We were down in south beach for a quick getaway and just wanted a nice dinner. The night we arrived at this restaurant the weather was probably in the high 80s… They had all their windows opened. It was hot and humid in the restaurant. Not really sure why they would do that in a seafood place where they some of their seafood on display. Anyway, out waiter was less than professional. When I said it’s really hot in the restaurant and if it’s at all possible for them to turn the AC on, he said«look there is nothing I can do here!» Not even an attempt. Great. So on to dinner… My boyfriend ordered the prime steak… He specifically asked for no pink in the middle, well done… His steak came out medium rare. And the pink part of the steak didn’t even look normal… It was dark red, like meat that’s been sitting in the freezer for way to long but just got thrown on the grill. Very little flavor, I took a bite and honestly didn’t even like it. Shortly after we left dinner, he started feeling ill, and like I said, he got food poisoning from the steak that was served. Not sure what other people like about this place. Not worth the money. I’d rather go to Ruth Chris.

My last night in Miami i found this amazing romantic restaurant searched a lot at different places to go and decided to try this place out, and how happy we did from the time you sit down service and food was amazing. Love how the bring out yummy rolls with a tuna spread to start with which was really tasty, and unique. We started with the big eye tuna poke for our appetizer which was a little pricey, and not a very big portion but flavor was great. The craft cocktails they have were very well balanced and have great flavor. For our main dish I order the crab crusted grouper, and my husband ordered the swordfish schnitzel which was very unique almost tasted like a breakfast dish flavor was great not what you would expect. Now dessert wow the smores pudding to die for so incredible rich and gooey and amazing!!! Only thing it doesn’t need the popcorn brindle that too much sweet over load. To sum up this place was perfect! And all the recommendations by our server were right one this place is a must!!!

I was very excited to go to Prime Fish for breakfast after I heard about the awesome brunch deal. The brunch is supposed to include: 1. the all you can eat buffet, 2. bottomless mimosas, bloody marry’s, proseco, etc. 3. and an entrée. Unfortunately, we did not receive what we paid for. The brunch ends at 3:30 and I met friends there at 2pm. Our server purposefully did not approach our table to refill our alcoholic beverages and barely even came over to fill up our water glasses. The worst part of it all, they never even gave us our included entrees. We asked another server about the entrees that were supposed to be included(because we never saw our waiter) and he told us we were mistaken. Later we read online that we had been correct after all. We heard about it after we had left. Our waiter even tried to stop serving us proseco at 3, telling us it was«last call»(which in his mind didn’t mean last round, it meant he already stopped serving drinks) and then proceeded to fill up the glasses of our neighboring tables. It was the weirdest thing. Our waiter for some reason did not like us and made it known. It’s possible this waiter might have been having a bad day or something, but it was very disheartening that it was taken out on us. I’ve never had such terrible service and above all of it was very disappointed that we didn’t get the full brunch experience with the included entrée.

HUGE size of side dishes(largest side dishes I’ve ever had in my life), all the food we ordered there are delicious as well. Staff is friendly, polite, and informational overall. Quiet, affluent and safe neighborhood.

Came here for dinner on a Friday night and had a good time. The food was very good. I had the snapper and my friend got the special which was a branzino or something very similar. We also had oysters as an appetizer. The food was very fresh. Expect to pay a little more for that fact and the location which is a block from the beach in the prestigious SOF neighborhood. I would come back to try something else on the menu. The place wasn’t too large. It has a large outdoor seating area which was nice and a great way to catch the ocean breeze(even though you can’t see it). The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. I would recommend this place for a date.

One of the very best meals we’ve ever had. Everything was really really really good. I’ve only written a few reviews in the years of Unilocal & mostly for terrible service to warn people. This review is quite opposite– this is an exceptional restaurant & so it deserves a 5 star review! Ambiance/food/staff was all wonderful… GOHERE.(All Prime restaurants are excellent, but this is certainly my fav.) –From a well traveled NYer

This is just about the brunch. And that’s all you really need in life. Holy mackerel(or trout amandine.) FORTY-NINE dollars per person, UNLIMITED drinks, UNLIMITED food, ANENTIREROOMOFDESSERTS. on SOUTHBEACH. at a PRIME restaurant. Ok. Caps are done. Maybe. I was blown away. The service was constant and friendly. The food was delectable. Kale salads to fried crab. To vanilla bean oatmeal. To nutella french toast. You can just sit there all day and feast. And you still have enough money to über home. I can’t believe this exists.

REVIEW for 4÷3÷16 I am so glad I had the opportunity to finally come to Prime Fish for brunch. My girlfriend was having her birthday celeb there so it was perfect. Hands down I would say that this brunch is one of the best that Iv been to. I’m always looking for good brunch spots and this has definitely made the top of the list. Everything was fresh and most importantly delicious. I had a lil bit of everything. Kale salad, chicken&waffles, mini chicken Parmesan, quinoa, truffle mac&cheese(YUM), Kobe meatballs, salmon. just to name a few of the items. Their dessert spread was very nice as well. I picked a few items and shared at the tables. Last but not least… unlimited Belini and Mimosas! The service was great and our glasses were always full.

I’ve only been a few times for brunch, and it’s the best in the area! You pay $ 49 and that includes bottomless bellini’s, mimosas, prosecco, and bloody mary’s. Also, for that price you get to enjoy their brunch buffet that includes a variety of breakfast and lunch items. To top it off, they have every possible dessert you could ask for. Then, you can order one item off of their brunch menu, which consists of egg dishes, and they have no problem if you want to take that to go. I’m giving this 5 stars not only because it’s such a great deal, the food is delicious, but also because they are prompt and attentive even though they get busy and because the price is less than most other places. Their staff is very kind and helpful! Please only tell your best friends, because this is an amazing brunch; both on Saturday’s and on Sundays. I wish more places in the area offered this :)

Where do I start? The food is phenomenal. First time here, I actually hadn’t been here since it was Nemo. The restaurant itself is small & quaint. they do have outdoor seating and a full bar. I also love how the kitchen is in full view from your dinner table. Recommendations: Sea bass with Bok choy: amazing! Very delicious and healthy BF had the fish and chips and the portion was so big! But he said it was very good. Lobster Cobb salad: very good and it’s a HUGE portion so perfect for sharing. Deviled eggs with truffle, caviar and lobster — yes, it tastes as good as it sounds. Oh! I’m a lychee martini connoisseur and the lychee martini was very good here and it was strong but subtle… the perfect drink. Also, when you first sit down, they give you freshly baked bread with a smoked fish dip — very good. I would’ve loved to have tried a dessert but I was so full. I’m definitely going back, they have a very appealing menu. Before I forget, the service was exceptional. Our & the entire wait staff were very attentive by refilling our drinks and checking in to make sure we were ok. Also, one Big plus for me, we had reservations for 830pm but I was literally starving so We showed up at 8pm and were seated right away. I hate restaurants who make you wait even though you have a reservation so being seated early was nice!

I don’t want to review this place as in fear it will become overwhelmed, like everywhere else that was good sofi. Yet, the waitstaff really needs the recognition they deserve. From the start to the end everything was top notch. Even the cooks are looking out for their customers. Also the manager is very outgoing as well. We will definitely return.

I’d never tried any of the Prime restaurants before, so I jumped at the chance when a friend asked me to go to Prime Fish for Miami spice. It seemed like one of the better spice menus that I’d seen this year. Unfortunately, that came at a cost. Like others have mentioned on here, the portion sizes were laughably small. Unlike when I went to Capital Grille and I received hearty, regular-sized portions which left me stuffed, this place skimped mightily, which isn’t a good way to advertise one’s restaurant. I had the ceviche, the swordfish schnitzel, and the fried oreos. I will say their ceviche was very good even if it had a few too many fruit chunks, and I loved the dessert. The swordfish schnitzel, though, was disappointment. It wasn’t bad, but it was a little bland and not all that outstanding. The saving grace of my meal was the fried oreos. If there was ever a desert that was perfectly made for me, it would have to be those oreos. They weren’t just friend oreos, they were oreos fried… in a beignet with powdered sugar on top an all. It was sinfully good and allowed my mouth to leave on a high note. I think the most shocking thing was that my friend ordered the filet mignon and it was just not good. It was the flattest fillet I’ve ever seen, and it was extremely dry. It tasted like the result I would get from buying those 3 for $ 6 mock tender steaks at Publix, throwing them in the oven at 400 degrees, and tuning out to watch Walking Dead for a while. I know, I know — someone ordered steak at a fish restaurant. But this fish restaurant is associated with a very famous steakhouse. If there was a Morton’s Fish, I would expect that ordering a steak there would turn out something like ordering a steak at Morton’s Steakhouse. Generally when you go to a restaurant for Miami Spice you want to walk away feeling like you got a really good value for your money. I walked away from Prime Fish feeling like I got ripped off a little. I’ve wanted to try Prime 112, because so many people are fans of it, but eating at Prime Fish made me think that my friends that hate Prime 112 might be right.

Apparently they are soon to be opening for breakfast/brunch. I’m interested to see what happens with that. Otherwise, my first time here was the other night. Table of 4, sat outside under the lights and the trees. It was quite nice. The lasagna is … WOW. its amazing. The fish part of the fish and chips is awesome as well. Service is efficient and friendly and prices are reasonable as the plates are large. The seafood is fresh — overall, its a win in my book.

Here we go, another restaurant to try during Miami Spice month! We frequently go to restaurants in the SoFi(South of Fifth) in South Beach, two of our favorites are Fogo de Chão(Brazilian churrascaria) and Joe’s Stone Crabs, and we though we had to try Prime Fish now, that was the occasion. Although we had reservations we had to wait almost half an hour(not good), but the hostess was very nice and always checked on us letting us know that our turn was coming soon. But one thing caught my attention: a group of four people arrived and where seated immediately, bypassing the 20 or so people waiting for their turn… well, this is Miami after all. Anyway, but let’s focus on what is important: food! We ordered the Swordfish Schnitzel, the Alaskan King Crab lasagna, as appetizers the«LITTLEPOKE» Hawaiian Big Eye Tuna and the Lobster Bisque. Desert: Fried Oreos with Vanilla ice cream and the Coconut Crème Brulee. All were excellent, but the lasagna was not piping hot, it was more on the lukewarm side, which is a sin when we talk about lasagnas. I had the impression it was sitting out there for too long. The portions which are usually very large get reduced considerably for Miami Spice, which I don’t consider the fair thing to offer. As an example, the Capital Grille serves the exact same dish size for items on the Miami Spice menu. Also some prices are off the charts: a bottle of Pellegrino was $ 9.50(and only $ 7.50 at Capital Grille). I decided to give it a 4 star rating due to the Small portions, the lukewarm lasagna, high drink prices and the delay with our reservation. But don’t take me wrong, the dishes had great flavor and presentation, service was excellent(our waitress did a phenomenal job), but to get a 5 the place needs to cover all bases. Cheers!

Miami Spice 2015 review(Aug/Sept $ 39 promo): when I saw pricey Prime Fish on this year’s participant list, I was very excited: many menu choices that are $ 40 on the regular menu were on the promo menu, with an app and dessert for less than that $ 40 regular menu price. Unfortunately, there was a «catch» at this fish place: portion sizes which are ordinarily massive were significantly scaled down. So that $ 428oz filet mignon steak was a 4oz version, and the $ 40 king crab lasagna was cut by 2⁄3! Salads and other apps which are usually enough for a small group were similarly downsized. So Miami Spice at PF is just a way to eat a normal portion size of 3 courses, instead of the usual massive size at full price, and I think you’d actually come out ahead ordering from the regular menu! So while the food was very enjoyable, and I’d consider returning in the more popular months of the year, I don’t recommend it for Miami Spice if you are a die hard deal-seeker like myself. Bonus points for star-sighting: I got to dine with my good friends(pictured), though they were at another table, and didn’t interact — we like to keep our relationship on the down-low(ha!)

Prime Fish is in the same restaurant family as Prime 112, Prime Italian, and Big Pink. My husband and I are huge fans of Big Pink, so we thought we’d try a few of the group’s other restaurants while we were in town. It was convenient for us since all are located in the same square block of the SoFi district of South Beach where we always stay. We were informed that all four of the restaurants carry many of the same menu items and cuts of meat/fish, though they have different preparations and spins on dishes depending on which establishment you choose. This is something to make note of all you people who wait hours just to be seen at Prime 112. You can’t visit Miami and not get fresh seafood, so that’s what brought us to Prime Fish. The gorgeous courtyard begged us to take a seat outside. It has a Mediterranean feel to it. The big arched windows, hanging lanterns, and candlelit tables all nestled under an enormous tree makes this quite the romantic spot. Our server brought us a few fresh baked rolls sprinkled with sea salt before he walked us through the massive menu. He was great with his recommendations! My husband and I each chose our fish a la carte with a separate family style side to share. He went with sautéed halibut while I opted for grilled swordfish, which is a favorite of mine. We added on a side of herbed butter to spread on our fish and it gave both varieties so much flavor! My husband unfortunately found a few small bones in his halibut, but other than that, we had no complaints. The side we thought would go best with both fish selections was garlic mashed potatoes. They were whipped to a perfectly smooth consistency and contained just the right amount of garlic. I would most definitely give Prime Fish another try next time I’m in Miami. That gorgeous courtyard will beg me to come take a seat again, I’m sure.

So I had one of the best dining experiences here in late April. It was a breezy evening and we were seated on the patio under a large tree. The menu was a little overwhelming with so many delicious options. It took awhile for my date and I to decide what to order. We started with some nice cocktails and then transitioned to a bottle of Pinot Noir. Pleasantly surprised that there were some reasonably priced good wines to choose from on the wine list. I started with the tuna poki which was amazing. My date got shrimp cocktail. Then I ordered the swordfish schnitzel which I had never heard of but read the earlier Unilocal reviews on it. It was definitely more schnitzel like than swordfish. Though saltier than I would have preferred, I still ended up finishing it. He got lobster tempura and it was a huge dish. He said it was one of his favorite dishes ever. Not knowing the main dishes would be so plentiful, we also ordered the lobster mac and cheese. Though it was amazing, neither one of us ate much mac & cheese because we were stuffed! Then it was dessert time. I would have easily passed since I was full but my date has quite the sweet tooth. Twist my arm! The waiter described a number of desserts which made me want to try at least three desserts I should not be consuming. We decided on the red velvet cake. It was the largest slice of cake I have had and there was also a mini red velvet cupcake on top of it… yummy. Of course, we only had a few bites of it because it we could not eat any more food. Anyway I would love to come here again. Next time I may order the fanciest thing on the menu… Kobe steak($ 35/oz…2 oz minimum) just to say I tried it. Really want to try the smores in a mason jar dessert. It looked amazing.
