I think this is one of the best restaurants in Miami. We had an excellent meal here — food, service and ambience were all top notch. We did the chef’s tasting menu which was a great way to experience this for the first time. The best: –Spaghetti with tomato basil — simplicity at it’s best. They say it is top 10 in the country and we agree –filet mignon — this was better than what we have had at high end steakhouses –chocolate cake — it was so rich and so good Other excellent finds: –polenta with mushrooms — it was a little runnier than we prefer, but the flavor a were excellent –foie gras ravioli — Did not expect to like this and was very pleasantly surprised. Wow. –Scallops — perfectly executed. –coconut panna cotta — excellent Missable: –short rib appetizer — the meat was a little dry and not as tender as what I would expect –pici pasta with lobster — well executed but didn’t love the flavors Overall, highly recommend. Great for a special occasion.

I consider myself an explorer, but for some reason on my last trip to Miami I ended up at the same restaurants we have in NY. Maybe I was unconsciously looking for something familiar or maybe I’m just getting old and boring. I don’t know. Our visit to Scarpetta was as expected. Good food, good service, and a somewhat ghetto ambiance. I must specify, though, it was during Memorial Day Weekend(some of you will understand this reference). Again, probably could’ve done better in Miami, but I ended up going to a safe place where the food is generally good and the service is too.

I was excited to go to Scarpetta for a night out with my girlfriends though concerned it would be just another hyped up scene because of its location in the Fontainebleau. My fears were laid to rest as this place is the real deal. Stylish and chic, the cocktails were spot on and our seating with an ocean view comfortable and amazing. We did the pre-fix menu to remove the guesswork out of what to order and it was outstanding from start to finish. We had a foie gras, barrata, creamy polenta with truffled mushrooms and braised short ribs– so much delicious food I can’t recall all of it but we left having had a wonderful evening in a fabulous atmosphere with spectacular food. The service was impeccable and our server even made a couple of adjustments to the pre-fix for us. If you live in Miami, do not hesitate to dine at what you might think is a tourist trap. Scarpetta is solid!

We come back to Scarpetta during every vacation to the Fontainebleau. The food and service are outstanding. Don’t miss the ahi appetizer. Melts in your mouth. The servers are very attentive without being invasive.

What a marvelous Experience! Now Scott Conant I saved myself for you! I love seafood but I couldn’t bring myself to try Octopus or Polenta. I would remember all the times my southern momma said eat the grits and if I had to sit there the entire day I refused to put that gluey thick mess in my mouth. Nothing she did made this taste good. When it comes to food Chief you are a master. Polenta tasted nothing like grits and Vito said it takes 4 hours to prepare. I don’t know what I thought of Octopus but it wasn’t slimy or too tough. It was delicious. Vito advised me to try the Sunday tasting menu and you guys more than accommodated me whereas as Scot says I wanted to know what ‘real’ spaghetti taste like. My favorite was the panna cotta… So many textures and totally light. Compliments to everyone. Wow service Vito, George with the awesome smile, and Elione with the electric personality. Take notice I wad served. Gary Rojas you were spectacular too what a greeting and good bye… You guys are the tops! No doubt I will be back.

Had a really great meal here last night. Great service, incredibly creative food and a whopper of a wine list. The burrata, short ribs and panacotta were the standout dishes. We ordered way too much food and a great Barolo, best meal in Miami to date. Four stars because of our table. We were seated in the perimeter of the restaurant, I’m assuming it’s open air when the weather permits. It was cold and unwelcoming and lacked both style and comfort. The seating was truly horrible. The uncomfortable vinyl, poorly stuffed cushions on the banquette were incongruent with the menu and reputation of Scarpetta. I would suggest requesting a table in the main, central dining room. At about $ 200pp, one should be afforded an all around five star experience.

Had dinner here for a bachelorette party. We had a prefix menu that was arranged ahead of time. The food was amazing, especially the tomato & basil spaghetti, creamy polenta, and duck & foie gras ravioli. I’d definitely come back here again, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny.

This gem is absolutely scrumptious! It’s a foodie hot spot. From the utmost courteous and prompt staff, to each dish served, this restaurant goes above and beyond to take care of their patrons every desire. I would recommend the octopus dish and the chefs tasting menu. The latter is plentiful so take it easy on the warm and yummy bread. Finally, the desserts are worth the calories, therefore, save room for the decadence slice of heaven. Bön appétit!

We had a great dinner there recently. The pasta are the real stars of that menu. There were simply delicious. Especially the one with mushrooms. Appetizers: the short ribs, tuna tartare and the octopus. My gf loved the polenta as well. Very good experience. A must try.

Scarpetta never disappoints and is the prime example of consistency when it comes to food. I’ve never had a dish that came out different a second time around. Although the lighting within the restaurant is a bit too dimmed for my liking, Scarpetta is a great fit for any occasion and rests as my, «Top 5 Best Restaurants of Miami». As a recommendation I strongly suggest the following to try: Raw Yellowtail Creamy Polenta last but not least, their best ever Duck and Foie Gras Ravioli Making reservations are highly suggested.

We enjoyed the food here and especially loved the service. Our waiter was wonderful and happy to advise us on things to try. We started off with the creamy polenta which we really enjoyed. We ordered kids spaghetti and they LOVED it. It’s nice when you sometimes end up seeing celebrities — tony romo was there which was pretty cool. We ordered the spaghetti and thought it was perfect. The desserts we ordered were good(can’t remember the names of them) but they tasted great. My only negative though is that I found the portions for the spaghetti extremely small. If you don’t order a starter or dessert you could end up feeling like you’re still hungry. Normally we like to order variety for the table so we can try more things but in this case it wouldn’t have worked out to split the dish between two people. As a whole the restaraunt was good and we would definitely eat there again.

Alright, I would say I’m a guy that’s hard to please. I didn’t have the highest expectations for this restaurant. However, the food was fucking delicious, and the décor and atmosphere was spot on. However, they were a few problems that prevented this restaurant from getting a 5. On to the service. I would give this restaurant a five if it wasn’t for the price to performance ratio. Now the service wasn’t bad, but for the price, it was… Meh. They were nice and all, but it felt as though they had a grudge against me. As if they were forced to like me. Every time I asked for something, hey would just try to or just straight ignore me. I could tell they heard me since they looked back and just walked away. Now, I can’t blame one person for doing this. Maybe they had a bad day? However, 70 percent of the waiters were doing this… On to the food I ordered there duck(forgot the name), spaghetti, and there lava cake. Now I ordered 2 spaghettis because I was really hungry, but mostly on how good it actually was. It’s on my list of top spaghettis I’ve eaten(this list is extremely ridiculous, I am aware).Go look it up on YouTube and see how good it looks. Now the duck was also good. It had a nice balance of sweet and savory. Honestly the entrees were just a great experience. Alone, I would give the entrees a 4.75. Why a .75? Cause a five to me has to have Gordon Ramsay shake my hand and call me a fucking twat. All jokes aside, it was a great experience. On to the price… Oh the price… I don’t think 24 dollars for a spaghetti is right. Now it taste delicious, but I don’t think it’s worth it. I could probably make a .75 pounds of it for 20 bucks. Now, this part wouldn’t exist if they gave you a ample amount of spaghetti, but they gave you not even a cup. That’s why I had to order 2. Also the duck? The duck was like 30 bucks for something that is clearly not worth 30 bucks. Again, if they gave me more I wouldn’t be complaining. Yet, they gave me Almost a cup of duck. Now, the food was fucking great. The prices just screwed the experience over. I usually don’t care about price. But it wasn’t worth the ingredients/amount that was given.-Jay On more thing. I didn’t eat during dinner, but it became dark as the Mariana Trench during winter. It was really dark. Now I left fairly quickly, but I took a quickly peek while I was walking in the hotel(cause you know it was in a hotel). But it was almost obnoxiously dark. I think I would’ve rated it lower if I ate at this time. Good job dodging a bullet Scarpetta.

We were staying at the fountainbleu and decided to check out Scarpetta for dinner. I had the foie grass ravioli and it was delicious without being over powering and heavy. It was just the right amount of wonderful. My boyfriend on the other hand had fish, but he wasn’t too thrilled about his dish. All in all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant and if you go make sure to try the foie grass ravioli.

I had the tasting menu which was delicious. Every item was delicious. Low rating is because of the awful ambiance and incredibly obnoxious service. Not a great place for business dinner. Two issues that ruined my experience: 1. subpar ambiance for an upscale restaurant: lighting is sooo awkwardly dim, if it were any darker, I wouldn’t be able to see my food. Dining room is incredibly loud maybe due to bad acoustics or just the type of clientele like bachelorette parties that scream every five min. 2. this is really the worst– the over-serviced dining experience I’ve ever had. Expect to be interrupted 23 times during your meal. Worst place for business meal because you’re honestly interrupted by service every 5 min throughout the meal. First, the bread server completely disregards the fact I’m in mid sentence when he interrupts with intro of bread basket. It’s bread, nobody needs intro to it. Then 2 min later, waiter interrupts with wine menu, then again on wine order, then intro of dinner menu, then order for dinner, then intro to every course, then clearing of every course. All of the above, I can accept but the most needless interruption is the waiter and dinning room manger each coming over 3 times throughout evening to ask how we’re doing. Seriously baby Jesus everything is fine please just let me have a conversation with the person I’m dinning with. Not recommended for business meal. Restaurant is best suited for lonely person suffering depression from seclusion.

I came here for Miami spice dinner. The place is really fancy, great atmosphere inside a luxurious hotel, staff is very attentive and fast bringing food. I was just disappointed that the«spaghetti» dish with tomatoe sauce, a signature dish of the place, was an extra $ 12, and there was no other pasta choice in the menu besides some meat tortellini, so we were forced to choose fish or meat. As a lover of italian food and traditional pasta, I missed that option in the menu. I also disiked the almond panna cotta, but that is also personal taste. Other than that, great dinner, great food and great service!

Delicious. Sharing appetizers and entrees between a table of four meant I got to taste a significant chunk of the menu. Scarpetta isn’t quite five stars for me, but the wonderful pasta brings it extremely close. My impressions of the food: — The short rib appetizer was good, but not great. There’s better short rib to be had at many other places in Miami. I’d skip it. — Creamy polenta with mushrooms was a creamy delight. — Spaghetti was simple, flavorful, and superb. This is an important-for-everyone-at-the-table-to-try dish, and for that reason I recommend ordering a spaghetti as an appetizer for the table. This was my second favorite dish. — Tagliatelle with crab and uni was a tasty dish, but there was no discernible flavor of uni. Since it was the uni that had drawn me to this dish, it fell short of my expectations. — Duck and foie gras ravioli was the best dish by far. Full of wonderful and subtle flavors, each ravioli was meant to be savored and to dissolve in one’s mouth. Really great. It is a small(but rich) portion. — In every pasta dish, the pasta was fresh and phenomenal. Service was excellent. Our server demonstrated substantial knowledge of the menu and its ingredients when we had questions.

Definitely my favorite restaurant in The Fontainebleau. On the opposite site of the lobby and Liv Nightclub entrance, the restaurant is much quieter and maintains a peaceful and classy vibe. Going with a group, I was able to try an assortment of things, each taster than the next. From breads and burrata salad, to pasta and some truffle and cream concoction, there wasn’t a single unappetizing item on the menu… Definitely worth enjoying a meal there at least once whether living in, or visiting Miami.

I love Scarpetta — it’s one of my favorite places in Miami. And it would have to be THAT good for me to put up with the hassle of getting here, finding a parking spot(because the valet is swamped and very expensive even with validation) and walking a few blocks in the summer heat to get to. The Polenta with fricasee of mushrooms was on Food Network’s «best things I ever ate» show, and it’s on that same list for me too. Word of warning though: it seems to continue expanding AFTER you eat it, so if you are a pig and eat an entire serving of this yourself, you are going to pay for it when you struggle with dessert. I always have a different main whenever I go, and they are all great. The pastas can be very rich, and are best shared with a date(like the polenta). If you are eating both polenta AND a pasta in the same meal, you’d better be running in a marathon the next day(and Scarpetta does in fact have a promotion the same weekend as the Miami Marathon for this exact reason). Speaking of promotions, Scarpetta is one of the best options every year during Miami Spice(our version of «restaurant week» that lasts 2 months in late summer), and I look forward to going in months when Spice returns and the tourists depart.
