I honestly didn’t even want to give it 1 star… I went there to figure skate on a public session which on the phone they told me I could do and I arrive do some spins and the staff told me to only skate around in circles… Wow what a waste of money. Drive to pines ice arena it’s worth the drive and money. This place doesn’t even have a full size rink. Save your money and go someplace else.

We only used the ice rink for open skate, so that’s what this review is based on. I gave it three stars instead of two, hoping that maybe our experience was unusual.
We went to open skate and arrived ten minutes early. We were with small children and explained that it would probably take us 15 minutes to get them laced up. There were two people behind the counter, chatting with each other, and the rest of the building was completely empty. They told us, obviously annoyed that we were interrupting their conversation, to wait outside until the rink opened. Again, I think it’s worth stressing that they were not making other preparations or helping other people. The entire building was quiet.
When it was time we came back, paid for our time and our skates without incident.
There were several other people skating at all different levels. We were out on the ice about ten minutes after it opened and it was not in good shape. I don’t know what other rinks are like in south Florida, but this was the roughest ice ice skates on an indoor rink. We plan to check out the rink in Kendall next week and I will update my review then.

Yesterday was my third time here. The first was for a girl scout outing, the second for a birthday party and yesterday for my daughter’s birthday party.
The youth center is very impressive. It has an ice skating rink, a bowling alley, a pool, basketball court and more. We’ve only used the ice rink, so my review is based on that and their parties. First off the staff was extremely nice and Amber (supervisor I think) was very friendly and helpful.
For the party we had the rink and back patio from 5 – 8, with unlimited skating from 5:30 — 7:30. The only negative about the skating is the skates are miserably uncomfortable. They have no padding at the bottom and the sides were killing my ankles. Next time I’ll try the hockey skates.
The back patio has tables that can hold around 100 people with bathrooms there and in the rink.
The cost for the space and skating for unlimited people is $ 275 for Miami Beach residents.

We are so fortunate to have an ice rink in Miami Beach. Nothing beats it during weekend afternoon heat. Great for kids and parents.
As an advanced skater, I’d caution new older or heavy-​set folks that you can fall backwards and bump your head. New skaters should consider wearing helmets and knee pads. Gloves and a sweater are also good to keep warm.

I had my son in the after school program for 2 years and he had an amazing time! He enjoyed every minute of it and he loved all the coaches! amazing and caring staff always looking out and caring for the youth.

The youth center has a great ice skating rink where you can play hockey and take lessons. And during set times (which will change on aug 24 when school starts) they have open skate.
It’s $ 10 for kids and $ 13 for adults, if you are not resident. Cheaper if you are. And it includes skate rentals. This was for a two hour session. So the price is fantastic.
The down side is there is no food or drink available to purchase, but you can bring your own in.
The staff consisted of three people and they pretty much stayed busy checking people in and getting skates. Which meant no one was watching the actual skating. For most part this wasn’t a problem, but one group of older boys was rather obnoxious and trying to race each other which frequently resulted in them careening past people and crashing into the sides. Luckily they didn’t stay long.
On the whole, a really fun inexpensive outing that is also a great escape from the heat.

This is a great family place with great specials if you are a resident of Miami beach. Residents get in free and receive a free game of bowling. Non residents pay $ 10. There are also pool tables, ping pong, and foosball. They also have a swimming pool and full court indoor basketball. This place is a good way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

I first started skating here when I was 6 or 7 before they built the new rink.
The new ice surface is larger than the original but still not standard size. Its shorter (and maybe slightly wider) than NHL size. It feels half of Olympic size. There aren’t any private or semi private areas for skaters to warm up. No changing rooms but bathrooms are large and clean.
With that said, I love this rink because its not for profit AND if you go to the later sessions its practically empty. Its so refreshing to only share the ice with 3 others!
$ ⁸⁰⁄₁₀ sessions on punch card. Must have Miami Beach ID (or just ask a friend to buy it). Without prepay freestyle is $ 13/​hour.
I’ve been to a few public sessions on weekdays and I only shared the ice with 4 – 8 others. As long as you’re careful you can work jumps/​spins within reason.

An Ice rink in South Beach? Who knew?! When I heard about this place I had to check it out for myself and see it with my own eys, as I love ice hockey and I miss playing the game.
When I moved here to Miami I left my hockey gear behind. Ain’t no way there’s any ice rinks near Miami Beach. Boy was I wrong!
Originally built for teens, the youth center now offers it’s facility, classes, and services to adults and children alike. It boasts a swimming pool, indoor basketball courts, and a six lane bowling alley in addition to the ice rink. A hidden gem, for sure!
The rink is slightly smaller than standard. Good for 4 on 4 or 3 on 3 hockey as opposed to the standard 5 on 5.
Call ahead to find out rink times and open hockey schedules. Watching the kids skate from the stands also provides for a great way to get out of the heat I might add.
Now, if I can just talk a friend of mine to ship out my hockey gear cross country :)
