Just finished our massages with Beatrix. We bought a Groupon deal for a Swedish Massage and Foot treatment and day at the Pool. Front desk was very nice and Beatrix was wonderful. My cousin and I are super relaxed … You know it’s a good massage when you catch yourself dozing and snoring. Haha The rooftop pool itself is alright. There’s music blasting from all the surrounding hotels so you are listening to a bunch of different things at once.

horrible service. bought a special for 1 hour tailored massage, 1 foot relief massage, 2 cocktail and solarium entrance. the cocktails were 2 for a maximum amount of 20 $, i couldn’t order a more expensive one. the 1 hour massage ended up being 55 minutes massage that included already the foot relief massage so the total experience last 55 minutes. nothing special about the place, and customer service was not what i expected.

This place is trash, my girlfriend made a reservation for us, before she downloaded this app and after she read all the bad reviews that this places had we decide not to come In however we were charged 209 for cancelation we didn’t know nothing about this policy so when my girlfriend told her that when she discussed this policy with her she said that an email was sended to her explaining this yet my girlfriend ask her what Is her email and she couldn’t said nothing because she didn’t have it… The reviews that this places gets ain’t no joke.

SPLITPERSONALITY. The spa was serene, but the rooftop pool was a hot mess. I had a Groupon for a massage and pool day. First part was ok; second part wasn’t. Shala is a nice little spa. It’s small – just front desk area and treatment rooms. The restrooms are shared with the hotel lobby. There are no lockers, changing rooms, steam, or sauna. That said, the spa is pretty, clean, and peaceful. The front desk person was lovely and the massage was very nice. Afterwards, I went up to the rooftop to enjoy the pool. I was shown to a quiet corner cabana, and everything seemed just great. But the magic didn’t last. I was joined at the pool by a group of about 16 people who all squeezed into a 2 person cabana. Among their group was a teenage boy with a super-soaker water gun, lots of string thongs, and plenty of ganja. I don’t mean to sound like a grumpy granny–«Those young whippersnappers and their whacky weed!» But seriously, don’t turn your cabana into a clown car, please. To put it bluntly(tee hee – «bluntly» — see what I did there!) this was not my scene. The thongs, the weed, the language from a prison movie – the whole thing was not my jam. Maybe it’s yours? If so, enjoy the $ 16 drink from«HighBar»(I swear that really is the name of the rooftop bar.) I’ll be elsewhere.

I had a terrible experience at this spa. They were rude. They didn’t even do a full hour massage and it felt like a rubdown. Don’t waste your money here. Much better places for a better value

Purchased my deal through Groupon for a massage and pool pass. Pool was very small so if you plan on getting a spot in the afternoon, you can just forget it. The massage was more like a gentle tickle… not worth the money at all.

I was gifted a massage/facial at this spa. The owner graciously extended the «groupon» for me as it had expired by about a week. Although the massage itself was wonderful, it was only 40 minutes, not 50 as noted. Additionally the owner was extremely rude when we encountered a miscommunication. The groupon was bought for $ 70 but in print said«$ 145 towards a massage» would be applied if the groupon was expired. Well, after my massage, the owner proceeded to argue with me over the phone saying that I owed the difference of $ 75 plus the $ 35 tip. I was not only completely shocked, but I might as well not have received the massage because she was so rude and insistent that I tensed right back up. As a Miami resident, there is NOWAY I would travel to south beach to pay that amount for a 40 minute massage. If you live here, you know the construction and traffic hassle these days. The owner was extremely rude(not any way to treat a customer) and continued to tell me off(over the phone). In the middle of her rant I simply gave the phone back to the therapist, paid my gratuity and left. What a complete waste of time and drive to south beach. I would recommend the hotel in a heart beat but never the spa(sort of a spa). Ani, the therapist however, was wonderful. She was kind and patient.

Hello, Just wanted to share my opinion of this spa so that you are not disappointed and leaving completely stressed out as I was. First of all, this is NOT a spa. There are 2 very small massage rooms. No shower, no jaccuzzi, no steam room, no lockers, nothing. Second of all, you are lucky if the treatments last 50 minutes. This was the shortest facial I ever had. No extraction. Didn’t get any benefit for it, really. For the 50 minute massage, you have to select one zone(?!). I wanted calves and shoulders and it seems to be very complicated. Finally, upon checking out, I was requested to pay 20% for tip… like paying full tip was mandatory! To my surprise, and unlike other spas in SoBe, valet is not complimentary… It’s actually $ 20. As a conclusion, I will never go back to this spa again. Totally overrated and overpriced.

I couldn’t believe no reviews for this spa, then I saw they were all«filtered». If you are casual Unilocaler or from out of town and want to review an out of town business, check-in on the mobile app and your review will be less likely to be filtered. Just a tip! Loved it! We had the rooftop massages and after kept the cabana. Ended up spending almost 6 hours on the roof. Spectacular views of the ocean, the Versace Mansion and the pool area. Annie and Eddie gave us our massages. Both excellent. Combination of Swedish, trigger/pressure point and other styles. As we were on vacation a nice medium massage was just perfect. No soreness after. We ordered Mojitos and kicked it by the pool the rest of the day. Super romantic and super relaxing. I highly recommend this for a great couples day. I called to book my appointment and ask some questions. They had a $ 99 special for a 50 minute massage but it is only head, neck, shoulders and scalp massage. I wanted a full regular massage so I explored further. They were very helpful with straightening out all the options and all the deals. I snagged the Unilocal Voucher for $ 35 off($ 105 for $ 140) for each of us… sweet and Unilocal automatically loaded it up to My Deals, on the phone so no paper to carry. I booked the couples 90 massages, rooftop, poolside and then planned drinks and lunch poolside after the massages to chill. You can use the pool if you visit the spa so another bonus. I hate dashing out of a spa after relaxing. Each massage came out to $ 155 + tip, great deal in Miami. Ok, after booking I found on their Facebook page a deal for for 50% off a rooftop massage via Living Social. That is way better than the Unilocal Deal, but not available for use during out stay. Boo hooo! I would have really liked it if their website had a 1 page pdf of the services and the prices vs. having to scroll and read multiple pages. I would have also liked more pics of the spa on the site and Unilocal, but of course I took care of that by snapping a zillion pics during my visit. Know before you go… 1) Check for deals on their website, Unilocal and Facebook. You may find a good one that is valid during your stay. 2) Check the weather and if you can do the roof –do it! 3) The spa is inside the Dream Hotel.

The shala spa at the dreams was great! My boyfriend and I were in Miami for Labor Day wknd and decided to pop in! We both got massages and had access to the hotel rooftop pool. The staff was super friendly and recommended some places for us to eat in the area. the massage therapists were skilled and helped us relax and feel great! I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice relaxing spa!

Last week I really needed a «pick-me-up». The rainy days were starting to get to me. My face was pale, uneven from years of sun damage, and I was just feeling«blah». So I walked into the Shala Spa and asked the owner, Monica, what she would recommend. Monica recommended the«Radiant Recovery» facial, I think that’s what it was called, but definitely something like that. I asked Monica if this treatment would really make a difference, she assured me I would SEE a difference, so I signed up. I forgot to mention, as soon as I walked into the spa, it smelled soooo good, and I was already feeling more relaxed just being in there for 5 minutes. Sorry, back to the review. I love this spa because it’s quiet, right off the lobby of the beautiful Dream South Beach hotel, the treatment rooms are cozy, and the sound of the mosaic fountain is soothing. I enjoyed every minute of this treatment, from the delicious scents of the organic oils and creams to the gentle way Monica applied them to my face and neck. I learned this treatment is similar to microdermabrasion, but you’d never know it. You don’t feel a thing! And the best part was, how I looked afterwards. I looked 10 years younger!!! Seriously! I have 2 deep wrinkles(laugh lines) around my mouth, and they were at least 50% less obvious, and the other wrinkles are barely noticeable. Monica encouraged me to take a photo«before», I was a little reluctant, but I’m so glad I did. What a difference!!! I looked AMAAAAAZING!!! I felt so good!!! And guess what? It’s been over a week and my skin is still even, my pores are not clogged, and my wrinkles are still not as pronounced. So I highly recommend this treatment and am planning to go back for a massage. Check out Shala Spa, it is so worth it!!!
