Food was OK, service was GOOD. No wow factor though

This place is now closed. Instead there’s a dinner restaurant at this adress. Talked to a local and she was as surpised as we were. Try Pura Vida on 110 Washington Ave, great healthy place!

We were in Miami for a cruise and wanted to checkout Nikki Beach and grab breakfast before going to the port. So we decided to try Sofi’s…great choice! The only thing keeping me from giving a five star is the price. everything was way overpriced even for the area. A light, counter service breakfast for two should not be $ 40+ But at least we were not disappointed with the food. We both ordered spinach egg bowls. Fresh and flavorful and very filling. The coffee was great and my friends enjoyed her kale smoothie. The atmosphere is quaint and quiet so a very relaxing vibe. The seating is comfy and there are a number of outside tables as well. Parking was not so simple to find but I imagine many walk here normally from hotels, beach and condos.

Visiting Miami for the first time, Decided to come here for the food and coffee based on reviews. Coffee was watered down and tasted worse than instant coffee. Food was average. Ordered the Veggie burger and tasted like a dry falafel. The Acai smoothie was overly sweet. Oh, and the guy got our order wrong and didn’t offer a refund.

We were staying at the national hotel a couple miles away, and we decided to take a morning walk to this place. I had never had an açai bowl, and the reviews were raving, so I was curious. The walk was a little brutal in the July heat, but they have refreshing cucumber water which helped us cool down quickly! The staff there is really friendly and patient with answering questions that I’m sure they get asked all the time. I had the berry açai bowl with bananas added, and I really liked it. The only thing I didn’t like was that the granola was very sweet. It was a little too sweet for me. My husband got the power pancakes, and they were really good as well. The coffee is OK, but I would go somewhere else to get that if I were you. They have fresh squeezed orange juice, which I didn’t try but now I wish I had. Will definitely go back when in Miami Beach again.

So the first time we came here was amazing and the last 4 times has been less than appealing. This place is never busy so I don’t understand the lack of good service. Today we ordered and as usual had a large acai bowl. When the server brought it out it looked like a half portion(we get them all the time) I approached the counter to ask if the server had mistakenly given us a small; without looking up from his phone, resounded«no». He didn’t bother checking with the person who made it, going to the table to look for himself, or offering a solution. Never once checked on us to see how good was or offer refills on coffee. This will be the last time we come here. Was one of my favorite places in south each for breakfast but went down hill from my first couple experiences.

Everything on the menu sounded delicious so it was hard to choose what I wanted. Ended up picking the baked spinach and egg bowl and it was the most delicious breakfast I have ever had. So delicious. For a sweet treat, our party split the island acai bowl and that was also delicious. Just sweet enough with the crunchy granola and fresh banana and mango on top. Wish I could eat here every day!

Living on the beach, one of the most popular topics of conversation among locals is healthy eating. My friends and I are perfect examples of this, always exchanging tips on where to get the best smoothies, salads and swimsuit friendly dishes. Inevitably, one of the topics that comes up most often is where to find the best acai bowl, one of the prettiest and most instagrammed breakfast foods to date, which, despite its popularity around the world, is still a bit difficult to find in Miami. For this reason, I got very excited when the folks from SoFi Café invited me to try their restaurant, which specializes in, you guessed it, Acai Bowls. As the name implies, SoFi Café is located in the über-chic neighborhood of South of Fifth, in South Beach. The place, which opened just a couple of months ago and has already become a favorite among locals, is known for its healthy, organic, and affordable menu, available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When visiting Sofi Café, having an acai bowl($ 8.00) is a must. They are outstanding. They even have an acai bowl section on their menu, featuring five different options to pick from! For the uninitiated, an acai bowl is a parfait made with frozen acai purée, blended with various fruits into a creamy smoothie and then topped with homemade granola and lovingly adorned with fresh cut strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and coconut shavings. Finally, it is drizzled delicately with honey, which adds a certain luster to the whole affair. Of course, SoFi Café offers a lot more than just acai bowls. During my visit, I got to try their Acai Ultimate Smoothie($ 6.50), made with banana, oatmeal, peanut butter and almond milk. Despite it being full of berries, the peanut butter flavor really stood out, which is great for PB fans like me. Another great dish is the shrimp wrap($ 11.00), filled chipotle aioli, and is incredibly light and tasty. If you are very hungry, I would suggest going for the chicken and brown rice bowl($ 9.50), which is made with a cilantro sauce that I just couldn’t get enough of. Last but certainly not least, since they just started offering brunch options, I decided to try their Protein Pancakes($ 7.75), which turned out to be a great choice as they were perfectly fluffy and paired perfectly with my Segafredo cappuccino. YUM! I want to go back already! SoFi Café is definitely a great new addition to my list of healthy food options on the beach, and the best thing about it is that it doesn’t compromise on flavor. A meal from this place will give a feel-good feeling not only to your body, but also, to your wallet, as the menu is surprisingly affordable despite the luxurious neighborhood. I will most certainly be back for more soon and take advantage of their delivery by ordering my acai bowl and matching smoothie from the beach! ;) XOXO, Miami Mich

After going for a run in the hot Miami sun and burning some cals you don’t exactly want a burger. My group and I stopped by Sofi’s and had some really great and also healthy food. I ordered the Shrimp and Avocado wrap with a Quinoa salad as my side. It was perfect! Everyone had equally good things to say about their meals and we walked away feeling good about stopping by here. The atmosphere is clean, modern and delicious. Top notch!

Awesome spot. Very healthy food at a reasonable price. Don’t get that much on Miami beach. Very friendly staff and attentive. Food came out fresh and quick. I highly recommend this place.

After a long day on the beach, we ordered the Berry Bowl… and when I say it was delicious!!! It was a great start to the day and it didn’t weigh you down like most breakfast or brunches. And the service was excellent! I will be back again.

Warm and inviting ambiance was the first thing that caught my attention. The server was prompt and pleasant. I ordered the Eggs A La Mexicana. Very tasty but a little runny so I ended up with messy hands. My husband had the Island Acai Bowl… OMG so absolutely scrumptious(I made him get the large so I can share)! So wonderful to find a place with such delicious healthy menu options! Overall wonderful experience!

Absolutely loved this place. While on vacation in south beach, we turned to Unilocal to find a good breakfast spot. I got scrambled eggs, toast, turkey bacon, and home fries. Home fries were a mix of sweet potatoes and regular potatoes which I loved. I also ordered oatmeal which came with a side of fruit(had to go all out on vacation). We split a fresh squeezed orange juice. Loved everything. Interior is cute and service was great. Wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the weather and hit this place up another time.

The location was close to where we were staying and overall, it’s in a cute arcade. It’s too bad so much construction is going on around it. It puts a damper on the outside seating. We were seated near a couple with dogs so it is definitely pet friendly. We got the first acai bowl(on the menu) which was a hearty portion. It was different than I expected. I also think the granola was Nature Valley… not a bad thing, just unexpected. I wish the granola soaked up more of the acai. We also shared the waffles which were delicious. The batter wasn’t the typical bland stuff that most places whip up. The orange juice was great, as it always is in Florida, because you can actually taste the pulp. We would definitely come back. Prices and service are good.

I can only review the acai bowl, which was seriously so good I’m thinking about it months later. I came here in September of 2014(4 months ago) because my friend that lives in the area brought me in to try the ultra acai bowl. I live in Virginia and have yet to find anything comparable in taste and freshness.

I love this place, has super-fast WiFi, very friendly staff, healthy selections of smoothies and food. Only thing of note — I really liked the chef that they had before, now gone, new chef is good enough ! I like bringing my dogs and sit outside. Very comfortable place to eat and lounge around.

Sofi Café is a great addition to the South of Fifth area of South Beach. Located in the Portofino building alongside the deli, wine bank, and 4D Gelateria, in the space which housed everything from a nightclub/lounge to a piano bar, Sofi Café is hopefully around to stay! Catering to the demands of the local crowds, Sofi Café offers tons of fresh juices and smoothies as well as açai bowls in addition to their breakfast and lunch selections, which include pancakes, waffles, eggs, salads, wraps, and burgers(veggie or turkey). They’re also open till 9pm, so you can pop in for an early dinner if you’re in the area. The space is large, with plenty of outdoor tables protected from the elements by the overhead portico. Service is super-friendly, and the prices are surprisingly low, especially considering the area. Plus, if you come for dinner between 7pm and 9pm, you’re treated to 25% off your bill! I stopped in for dinner last night and had a great veggie burger, topped with caramelized onions, and served with some great herbed home-fry-style potatoes. My dining companion enjoyed the veggie timbal, which was a stack of fresh veggies served with ricotta cheese and pesto. We also enjoyed a glass of house Malbec a piece, for only $ 6! I definitely will be returning to try breakfast, and to check out the açai bowls that everyone is raving over! Welcome to SoFi, Sofi Café!

I ordered a make-your-own smoothie, and it was almost $ 7 for a not-very-big cup! I was very disappointed, although they do make your smoothie fresh with real fruit. It tasted delicious, but it was way too expensive.
