I swear its has to be over kill of the volume of these stores that exist in Miami. I was in the area for one day and know I saw at least twenty of these stores in a three to five block radius.
Well, they say you can never have too much of a good thing, and thats the attitude to have with these shops.
Who goes to the beach and then leaves their flip flops at home? This chick. So I entered and asked the guy to direct me. He was very personable and the first thing he said was, does cost matter? Really it does, but it doesn’t is what I replied, but I’m not interested in spending $ 50 on flip flops if thats what you’re asking. He laughed and directed me to some that were 2 pair for $ 12 and then directed me to the that were about $ 38 – 36 each.
They have tons of touristy nick knacks, ashtrays, shot glasses and hats. So I left spending almost $ 40 on one pair of flip flops and a neon orange I Love Miami hat and was quite pleased with the experience.
As stated there are tons on these stores in the Miami area, and some are really close to the beach, so if you happened to leave your sunscreen, flip flops or sun hat at home, this is an very visible option.
Good selection of post cards also.
