Arrived in Miami for a bachelorette party weekend and was starving so we decided to check out the restaurants on ocean drive. As we were walking by the other restaurants, the staff who work at these restaurants were pretty aggressive to get you in their doors. Good thing we checked Unilocal on these places cause some of them were 1 – 2 stars. Decided to try this Thai-Japanese restaurant, weird combination right?! This place was non intrusive at all. Staff was pretty nice here. We ordered: Papaya salad pad se ew Crunch roll and some other roll Lychee martini’s Papaya salad was ok, our companions mentioned it wasn’t too spicy enough. The rolls were pretty good, the pad se ew was ok, the highlight of the dinner was the lychee martini’s, very yummy. I know Asian restaurants are very seldom in Miami so I understand the price hike on their dishes but personally thought marked up too high. If you have a hankering for sushi or Thai, this is the place to get it.

The spicy tuna salad is excellent. Red dragon roll was superb. Music is much lower in volume than most places on the strip so you can actually engage in conversation with your dining companions.

Good service. Food could be a little more seasoned. Edemame(sp?) was delicious. It was a little breezy on this January night so I wished they brought out the heaters like the other restaurants.

Small little nook in the middle of a big tourist area. Food was good and the service excellent.

After spending a few days on Ocean Drive, I’m getting the idea that the bars and restaurants are EXPENSIVE for what you get. We were prepared to splurge a bit for this place, hoping to get some delicious sushi. I appreciated the quiet atmosphere and friendly service. The orange dragon roll was our favorite, but the spicy tuna roll was really disappointing(not spicy or even flavorful.) We also got drunken noodles and the jalapeño raw tuna appetizer, and they were adequate. Overall, not amazing sushi, especially considering the price.

Ocean drive is filled with crap touristy places which despite robbing people do not serve half decent food(like many cities in the world). This place is an exception, I found this place on the road but a lil tucked away(I know it is confusing, but you will understand what I mean when you see this place). Thai and sushi are weird combinations, they are extremely different and to me it did not make sense. I was a bit apprehensive but the lady by the front seem genuine and convincing. In we went and got a table for 2. I had unfortunately stuffed my face with Haagen Dazs ice cream and was kind of full. I decided to have 2 starters and orders a small cup of miso soup, pork gyoza and crispy spicy tuna roll. I loved the soup and the gyoza but not the tuna roll. Hence the 4 stars. There was nothing wrong with the role per se but it was not spicy and frankly I have had bette spicy tuna rolls. But the gyoza was good. My husband ordered chicken green curry with rice. This was divine, this is by far the best green curry we have had. It’s a shame I couldn’t eat it and could only taste it thanks to my Haagen Dazs . But yes, a very non-tourist place which is reasonable and authentic. Highly recommended.

Awesome place! Very good service. Go there for the food and friendly service. I took the seat outside and feel Ambience could be much better. Felt a little small and crowded. Few people waited for a few minutes and left because they were understaffed and did not attend them. If they can improve on that it would be a definite must visit.

This place was nice and the service was attentive. Excellent location. We enjoyed the orange dragon roll the best. Highly recommended.

In comparison to other places on the block I would recommend it. However it was nothing special. Its $ 80 for 2 people for lunch with drinks. I think there are better options!

It was refreshing to see this quiet little restaurant in the middle of Ocean Drive – there is a nice outdoor seating area as well as several tables/a bar area indoors. We opted to sit indoors because of the heat but it was still a little stuffy and warm inside and I got eaten up by mosquitos – I even killed one with my bare hands. I was a little surprised by the menu because it doesn’t match what you see online, so I had to change my game plan after seeing the prices. I had the tempura udon. There was a pretty good variety of tempura(shrimp, veggies, etc.) and the tempura portion was a nice size… but the soup was lacking. Just some plain broth with a handful of noodles and some green onions on top. It definitely didn’t wow me at all. The service was nice but I don’t know that I’ll be back because the food I got just didn’t match the price I paid.

The place is small and its a little hard to find the entrance. I literally had to call and ask how to get in. The door has no handle and there is no sign of the restaurant name. But other then that, the food is EXCELLENT. I had the Chilli Snapper. It was HUGE compared to the one on a picture someone posted here. I was stuffed happy.

Great sushi and Thai food right on the beach. Very reasonably priced and everything was fresh, delicious and served quickly. Oh, and the mojito so rock too!

4.5 stars for location, staff friendliness, portion, and overall good quality! -.5 star just because of the quality of salmon and slightly high prices(although given the location it’s appropriate pricing?) Ordered take out(see pictures) of a Thai noodle dish(clear noodles with beef), two salmon & avocado rolls with brown rice, and Thai iced tea. The clear noodles with beef was pleasantly delicious, well cooked beef(not dry and fresh tasting), and not oily. A very balanced noodle dish with great ingredients($ 16). The sushi was plentiful, large rolls with a heavy portion of salmon in each piece! This roll is a «miscellaneous» roll, in that I asked for them to just make a salmon+avocado, which came out to $ 9/roll, but since they have large pieces, it was worth it! The only downside is you can kind of tell the quality isn’t the greatest since it is so «pink». But overall, it tasted great, the brown rice wasn’t too mushy or dry :) The Thai iced tea was great, just could’ve filled up the cup with more iced tea than ice! :/I would have to ask for little to no ice next time(especially for $ 3.95). Will come back! Especially if in this area looking for sushi. Note: the place was empty, given the location I think that sushi is not the most popular among the patrons in the area.

This place is a hidden gem. Was on a 7 day cruise and ate nothing but rich all American food, wanted a change of a different taste pallet and decided to drop in. Its right in the middle of the action packed ocean drive. I was a little thrown off because it wasn’t full of people like all the other restaurants. It was a lot more quiet so it made me nervous. We ordered the chili fried snapper, the pad thai, and the special fried rice. OMGTHEFLAVORSAREAMAZING! Everything was so good i wanted to put this restaurant in my pocket and bring it back to California lol. The staff was super attentive and made sure my glass of water was always filled. Highly recommend if you want great food without the harassment of the servers. Thank you Sushi Siam I will be back again when i visit the next time.

Surprisingly not a tourist trap on the infamous SoBe strip! Really enjoyed my meal at Sushi Siam with my friend after a day at the beach(with the exception of the stingy staff), was incredibly fresh and a welcomed sushi option below 15th and perfect for tourist watching and casual We ordered to share the spicy salad which was a hefty size, the spicy crunchy tuna roll which was HUGE and way too much for 1 person, and another tuna roll that was wrapped in cucumber(but the name escapes me). All of which i recommend if you are looking for a light and quick bite. Will definitely be back!

I used to go to their Lincoln rd location all the time, but I just recently checked out their new place on Ocean. The food and service were both great. I tried the maguro jalapeño, which is thinly sliced raw tuna with avocado and jalapeño-it was awesome! It’s a light dish that packs a nice bite to it. The crunch spicy tuna roll was also very good. Fantastic pick for sushi on south beach!

Ordered the spider roll which was delicious. Had some edamame & garlic honey shorty ribs for appetizer. My friend got the veggie pad Thai & said it was delicious. She ordered a mojito with it and said it complimented it well. Service was good, menu looked appetizing. Will definitely be back next Time I am in Miami

I was looking for a Thai restaurant close to my hotel on Ocean drive, and this one was only a few blocks away so decided to check it out. I understand that it has opened only just recently too. It’s a combination of Japanese and Thsi food on the menu, but I only tried Thai on this visit. The dtom kah gai was pretty authentic and very good. The spring rolls were nothing to write home about but were ok. Service was excellent and friendly. Would go back again, and would like to try the sushi next time.

Perfect place for Thai food including curries, fish and duck, as well as new designed sushi! The restaurant is just open, it is very clean. The staff there is friendly and the food is awesome! I ordered a spring salmon roll, which is also got mango, jalapeño, avocado and fish egg on TOP! What a fabulous combination! A must to try sushi roll!
