Awesome bar and great food for a good price. Good music, good beer specials. Lots of cheese sticks for a good price and the sandwiches are awesome and huge. Jimmy the bartender makes you feel at home.

This was a pretty good dive bar. The food was decent, music was great and they serve food late. I had the Philly Cheese Steak and Homemade Fries. I thought was pretty good for late night. Would go back again

I appreciated the cheesesteak, but I think it’s severely overselling itself by claiming to be Miami’s best. It’s average, and for South Beach, worth the quick turnaround and no-nonsense style. Other menu items we’ve tried are the dozen wings — also pretty average, you can get them better and cheaper on the mainland. I asked for a side of hot sauce because the hot isn’t very spicy at all. We did thoroughly enjoy our order of thick-cut truffle fries, so props for that. Service was friendly, and the singular bartender was in charge of both food and drink orders, so I definitely don’t envy her job. But she was understanding, and there were plenty of places to sit and peek in on the kitchen making orders by hand.

Wings were gargantuan and the garlic fries were tasty. This place is a good one in a sea of crap.

So after figuring out that The Lost Weekend is the place and the Alibi is a part of it… I was good! It’s a bar and a restaurant and it has pool tables. I came here for one thing only… the chicken philly… I had fries too. My daughter had the cheesesteak. This place did not disappoint with the sandwiches for sure! I’ll be back on my next Miami trip!

What the doctor ordered! A poorly-lit dive bar that features a big photo on the wall of Keith Richards at the piano with a pack of Coors and a bottle of whiskey on top. Has a bunch of guys playing pool at 2 am. Big tattooed biker guy taking up the corner of the bar by himself. Reviews were mixed… what could go wrong? Absolutely nothing in my book. Perfect place to duck in late to escape the surrounding glitz and overpriced restaurants. Prices were reasonable… they had some kind of special, or else the domestic beer was just really cheap. Fries were good. Most unexpected of all, the bartender was as nice as can be. Would duck back in here any night I’m in the neighborhood.

The Alibi, inside corner of Lost Weekend a dive bar 7÷24÷15 — 218 Espanola way Miami Beach Parking is tough — hours of operation stranger 3rd time trying to eat here had to wait until someone was around to take out order —? Midnight to 5am ? You read menu off hard to read chalk board around the top of kitchen area, & then you order & pay at the bar, then after 10 min they hand you a sandwich in butcher paper from the cooking area. I was looking forward to trying this hyped up award winning Newtimes 2010 location. As I waited for cook(not to friendly) to show up at midnight to start making the Philly cheese steak, I was further encouraged by 8 other people also waiting, saying they are natives of Philadelphia. My friend who was w/me has been to Philly eating a tour of Philly Steaks including Gino’s & Pats We ordered«Two Provolone with» they did come on the famous Amoroso roll which is special, but overall the sandwich was light on onions, cheese & flavor, kind of meh & I have had better. — To try — truffle fries ? Cost $ 23 for 2 people — value level — ok Rating 6.5 of 10

Got a cheesesteak with whiz and some tater tots to go while in town for a bachelorette party. Man this cheesesteak was just as good as what you can get in Philly! My boyfriend and I always emphasize how important the roll is and alibi didn’t disappoint because they had amoroso rolls, only the best! Plenty of beers to choose from with a crowd of locals and the perfect divey feel, while my visit was brief definitely enjoyed.

No one picked up the phone at 4:07am. We were looking for a meal after a night out, even if one of us would have to walk to pick it up. But unfortunately even though the hours say til 5am, we were unable to get anyone on the phone to place an order.

Simply the best steak sandwiches in the area, and being from Philly… I should know. They fly in Amaroso rolls from Philly which makes the sandwich. Pretty cool dive bar and great staff as well.

Great place to grab a bite and drinks if you are looking for a chill place in South Beach. The philly was amazing as were the truffle fries. My boyfriend had the wings which he said were okay. Watch out for the step to the left of the bar. I saw a lot of people almost trip over it.

Came here after attending the pool party at the national. This place is more of a hole in a wall type of bar with about 8 beers on tap and about 15 – 18 items on the menu(along with multiple pool tables).Had the wings, which were good(good buffalo sauce here, the honey garlic not so much). For my meal I went with the cheesesteak hoagie(which was excellent and I see why it is the star item on the menu) and a order of steak fries(good). Overall a simple bar and grill with good food(their chicken philly also looks excellent), good staff, and good priced drinks.

Want a philly cheesy steak with wiz? Awesome place to get it the chef Andrew is from south Philly so it’s like having a piece of Philly in a sandwich! So good and very big hero couldn’t even finish the whole thing and the prices are more than reasonable. They have 2 dollar jell-O shots all day. Over all it’s a very chilled spot you can play some pool, have some drink and have awesome food. The bartenders are very friendly and attentive. They also have fries with different seasoning, my favorites are the garlic and the ranch!

been to this spot a couple times. its a real dive. and its perfect in every way. no bolated inflated south beach prices. pool tables, a freindly bar and a jukebox. came in, grabbed a piutcher for $ 7 — it made the walk back to the parking lot a little bit easier after a full day of walkign around the boat show. the cook didnt show up — so there was no food. but im ok with that.

This place is awesome I think it used to be called loft weekends. They got pool tables and great food. I ordered a Philly cheese steak with truffle fries it was delicious. The service could have been a little bit better they took quite a bit to get some in a bar. But overall it was satisfying and would definitely come back.

I came here on a Sunday at 12:00am and it was open. The music was at the right level, the cigarette smell wasn’t overwhelming, there were pool tables, small but diverse drink options, truffle tater tots(heavenly), and a really nice bartender that looks like Thor(sorry Nick). Overall, a wonderful experience that came in handy. We only paid $ 13.15 for tots and 4 drinks– wot?! What a nice hole in the wall bar!

Yeah, I suppose it was inevitable. Sooner or later the surly dive bar nature was going to rear its head and provide me with an experience that was obnoxious enough to make me never want to return. In this case, it’s all about the bartender. I walked in, as I had many times before. I went right up to the bartender so as to place my order and… ignored. Literally, the guy looked at me and looked away. He went to another patron. Mind you, I’m standing by the cash register. It’s not that busy. I’m hard to miss. After he’s taken that order, I open my mouth to give my order and… he waits on someone else. For real. I’m beginning to get a *little* bit crazy at this point. He’s deliberately not taking my order. I take a deep breath and wait again. Next up… not me. He turns from looking at me to walk to the other side of the bar to wait on someone else. At this point, I yell. I yell loud. «Seriously, man?! WTF? Are you kidding me?» We have a bit of a stand off. He takes my order — after taking three other before mine, regardless of the fact that I was there before. I should have left. I didn’t. That was my mistake. After I order, I notice that I don’t have any change. I *always* ask for a receipt. When you eat, write and review and much as I do, it’s sort of a necessity. I ask the bartender for my change. «I don’t give change.» «…It’s my money. I want it.» «I don’t give change. It’s a bar policy.» «I want my change. It’s my policy.» I get my change after a stare down and grumbling. To his credit, the chef was attentive. He finishes my order and I leave. But, I can’t really leave it alone. I ask the doorguy if what I experienced was par for the course for the bar. He asks if I want to speak to the manager. I do. The manager and I have an in-depth conversation about what happened and how it’s unlikely I’d ever come back. Worse, I was a fan, came here regularly and told others to do the same. This would stop. He apologized and claimed that he would handle the situation. I have no idea if he did. I never came back… and neither should you. Unless, that is, if you enjoy despotic bartenders who get off on not serving customers… especially customers who don’t resemble the usual clientele of the establishment.

This place is basically the opposite of everything South Beach and I love it. Happy hour was the cheapest thing you will find on South Beach, with $ 7 domestic pitchers and I think it also includes shots in the evenings. The main reason to come here, surprisingly, is the food though, specifically the cheesesteaks. I generally tend to not really like cheesesteaks outside of Philly, but the cheesesteaks here are damn good. The only thing I don’t like is that these cheesesteaks are expensive, and they not only charge you $ 1 for each topping, but also $ 1 for each condiment too. WTF charges $ 1 for mayonnaise?(I have no shame, I put mayo on everything, so what). Had I not been so wasted beyond belief(both times I came here), I would have argued about that since the bartender failed to mention it to me before I ordered it. Oh yeah, I love their«Our house wine is Jagermeister» sign posted behind the bar. Weird though that they did have a bottle of Skinnygirl Vodka tucked away in the back…
