Let me start the review by saying that Brunch is my favorite thing to do. We enjoy trying out different ones in Miami. I had been to The Setai for dinner and drinks but never tried the brunch. Its $ 85 p/p includes unlimited mimosas. All you can eat buffet style with different stations including Indian food which for me was a plus because I love Indian food. The also have a seafood station and I have to say their were the best oyster I ever had, big and fresh. The dessert station although they didn’t have as many as The Ritz they had enough variety and had nitrogen ice cream. Services was absolutely AMAZING. Finding great service in Miami can be challenging but here treat you like a queen. Aslo the patio area is beautiful and so peaceful. The patio is great day and night. They had life music too. I would definitely recommend this brunch BUT I have only one complaint and it was that the food was on the cold side. Nothing I ate was hot. They do have warmers but I guess they are not strong enough. They should work on that.

This place is the epitome of perfection. Every single thing we ordered from the menu was absolutely fantastic, from the drinks to the apps to the main course down to the dessert. I’m Asian so I’m a bit snooty when it comes to fried rice, as a matter of fact I would never order fried rice anyway but my bf insisted we should try it. Lo & behold this fried rice was EVERYTHING! Check this place out if you’re in Miami!

Ambiance: 4⁄5 Food:4/5 Service:0.5/5 The unnatentive service unfortunately compromised the whole dining experience. We waited 15 min until someone brought the menus. Between each course(total of 3 + dessert), the waiter only filled our glasses(wine and water) after our enquiry. No explanations about each dish and we waited for literally 15 min until someone brought the dessert menu. The food, however, was very tasty and well presented. The mochi ice cream dessert was amazing. Pity that the talented work of the chef is destroyed by the incompetent service.

Perhaps the worst dining experience of my life and I have traveled all over the world & am a big foodie. We had a table of 10& it took them over an hour to being our table cocktails. The«chefs selection» wasn’t enough food to feed our table(they should bring enough pieces of each selection so that everyone gets a taste of each dish). The food was not worth the wait — It is on par with Pei Wei, which is good for the price, but not what I expected here. What made this the worst was the service and the value for money. The outdoor ambience is beautiful, but terrible service is a basic faux pas. I understand that it is Art Basel week, but they should have been better prepared.

Outstanding food and service. From 1st course to dessert the meal was excellent. Everything from miso soup, fried rice, lobster rolls, black cod, steaks, and bento box dessert were outstanding. If you are ever in Miami Beach this restaurant is a must try.

Asian themed restaurant that is vegetarian friendly. Had a great time there on a Friday. Amazing service with plenty of staff. Was nice to see small complimentary dishes provided as well. I was very happy with the atmosphere and the quality of the food. Presentation was on point. Will definitely be visiting there again.

We ate lunch outside with beautiful views and a great ambiance, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately that’s where the positives end. I was between the mussels and the 100% Angus burger and since they were out of mussels, I went with the $ 24 burger MW, sans bun bc of my gluten allergy. It took about 40 minutes to get our food, but luckily they gave delicious complimentary nuts, olives and bread and we were deep in convo, so no big deal. Once the burger arrived, I cut into it and could barely get the knife through, it was way over cooked and I know burgers are hard to gauge, but this was too tough. So they happily returned it and about 10 minutes later, delivered my next burger, it was served seared on the outside and raw inside… third times a charm… it was edible but not worth the price tag. No manager ever checked in and I’m a firm believer, after the 2nd time, it should have been on the house. The service went down hill once it picked up, and it just wasn’t a great experience. They have definitely lost a few customers for life. I hope your experience is better. Happy Eating!

The Setai is fabulous and i love the hotel. Been coming for years and it is a zen, oriental space in Miami and great for happy hour. The restaurant, however, it’s just ok in my opinion. We came with a group for sunday Brunch and found it expensive for what it was. Food was plentiful and good but nothing memorable. Service was nice and since they know the people that we were with, we were treated very well. Regardless, the food left too much to be desired. Many other better brunch spots in Miami, i would skip this one.

What an amazing concept this restaurant has to offer from Chinese tradition cuisine to fusion French and American food. I ordered the chicken lollipops and hamachi, all I can say about these two entrees is that it is very tasty but heavy with all the sauces. The service is always great here, we like to enjoy Izumi-San hospitality. She is always funny and looking to provide 100% customer service. She always recommends the best sake and tea for us. If you see her around ask for her as she knows the menu 100% without ever looking at it. The reason I gave it 4⁄5 stars because when we do sit outside in the patio the service is a bit slow and we hardly get our food within 20 minutes. I would like to see that when I do dine here in the future, there are designated servers that will be attentive to their guest.

I ordered chocolate French toast 9am on a Monday. I asked how long it would take and told them I was in a hurry. Guy said 10 minutes. I asked about it after 10 minutes, saying I had to get to work. After 20 minutes I told him I’d take it as it was, I needed to go. I hadn’t paid yet. He kept checking on it, he was four star. The place finally brought it out, late, making me late, and when I got to open it later I saw they couldn’t take five seconds and put the chocolate drizzle on. It was $ 12 for plain French toast! It wasn’t even what I ordered. Awful and lazy. Go here if you want a wrong order and to be lied to.

When clients visit MB, I quickly direct them to the Setai, it’s a zen space right in the heart of chaotic Miami Beach. The martinis here are the absolute best! And I must also mention that the Wagyu steak is nothing I have ever tasted, even though for most of the year, I stay away from beef, pork or chicken, I make an exception when I dine here. I should also mention the green tea crème brûlée is pure heaven. My only gripe, like the other reviewer mentioned is the valet, I cringed when he drove away with my car with the tires screeching, yikes!

This review is for their sunday brunch. i am not prone to hyperbole but i feel that this is the best brunch i have ever had whether i am in europe or north america. the exotic juices alone on sunday brunch are worth the price of admission. the brunch offers so much so many choices high end quality salmon, breads, pastries, exotic juices, chicken, beef, poultry, the spreads are just so delicious. the décor is top notch. the service is beyond superior. it’s a tad expensive with tip and tax probably about $ 100 a person my advice is go with an empty stomach from the day before and feast on the most delicious scrumptious brunch of your life. yes that good.

This is the coolest spot for a zen moment in Hot Miami. The passion fruit chili martini is THEBOMB, and worth every Lincoln penny(well, you’d better bring along a Franklin or two if you’re going for a couple rounds). Sweet, salty, spicy, umami = flavor perfection. The overall ambiance, how the space allows groups to have intimate space. is perfection. Think Balinese water garden meets candlelit zen and you’ve got a heady combination to ponder life as you sip on what are perhaps the most perfect cocktails I’ve ever tasted.

4 stars for the well thought out, barely sweetened and creative cocktails made at the bar at the Setai. We didn’t have a chance to sample the food(next time!) because at happy hour they brought out homemade pickles, olives, potato chips and mixed nuts that filled us up while sipping our tasty and unusual craft cocktails. Thank you for making unusual creations without a lot of sugar. Izumi makes a mean cocktail and we hope we will see her again very soon. :)

The valet driver actually screeched the tires as he pulled away to park my car. Once inside we had abysmal service! 15 minutes after being seated, we went to the bar for a cocktail list. 25 minutes after ordering a round of drinks we walked back up to the bar to remind the server we were still waiting. The bill with its 20% service charge, however, was delivered rather expeditiously. When we were ready to leave, I had to walk up to the bar to cash out as the server did not come back to pick up my credit card. There are half a dozen better places to have a cocktail in the area. We won’t be returning.

One of the best Asian restaurant I’ve been in my life. The food is just unbelievable and the service great. The place is very cool as well, nothing bad about this spot. Yeah it’s pricy but if you’re not happy with that just go to Wendy’s!

We spent a week in Miami beach at the Satai hotel. We must have ate at the grill 6 to 7 times including throwing a 25 person event. The only word that describes there service is «flawless». I have spread the word to everyone I know about Pasqual and his team. They are literally flawless. The food was just as amazing. Breakfast buffet was great. Wine selection is great. I have already made reservations for next years vacation. Thank you Satai.

This restaurant is aesthetically pleasing to the eye as expected for an eatery located in the beautiful Setai Hotel. The gorgeous white stone mosaics table tops were decorated with lush red roses. Tiny candles in water floated in copper bowls. Sensuous feeling to place. The service was on the the stuck up side. As if the food was beyond us. And to be honest the food was okay. And certainly not worth the $ 450 that we paid for a party of 3, bottle of Cakebread Chardonnay included. T The Food was more Asian even though they branded themselves Mediterranean. The sushi counter may hint that. Calamari and ceviche were great. The salmon was okay. The steak below average. The fried rice, not so good. I recommend the mushrooms but not the French fries. Probably not worth a second try.

Beautiful restaurant 1 star Great Waitstaff. 1 star Great Location. 1 star –2 stars Food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Trout Almondine. My dish was tasteless and greasy. The almond slices placed on top added zero taste to the dish. The green beans were nice. The fries were tasty. There is not enough of a Wow factor to warrant a second visit to this restaurant.

The Short: Great Scene, beautiful and elegant. Went for Miami Spice Dinner Menu. Great Cocktails! the $ 40 price FIxe Dinner ended up costing $ 200 for a party of 2! The Whole Story: Apps we chose off teh PreFixe: Scallop Shumai… delicate and delicious Thai Beef salad… Meh Entres: Beef Chow fun… far better can be found for far less at hole in the walls Malasian Fried rice… plain and unimpressive Dont go here for a pre fixe… i can sense this place does an exceptional dinner. if you are a foodie stay away from this Spice Menu crap… it is a way for tourists to get a budget experience of what may be an exceptional kitchen. i for one hate NYC restaurant week for this reason. and stay away from Prefixe as a rule. tis week i tried this Spice week game x3 big mistake… ended up over paying for underwhelming meals… my advice go big or stay home…
