My mechanic of 10 years just closed so I went here and My car needed a Oil change and I hate Jiffy Lube !! There was a squeaking noise coming out of car for a while. I asked them to check it out! I needed new belts they had never been changed in 7 years He told me they last about six, So now my car runs great and this place is affordable. HE was fast ! Publix and Walgreens are across the way so you can go shopping while they fix You !

I had a really awful sound coming from the tires of my aging mountain-​mobile and on the recommendation of the lady that works at Jiffy Lube when I was getting an oil change, I went to this place. I am always slightly terrified to walk into a new mechanic, but as I am a fairly recent transplant to Miami and have universally crap luck with mechanics since coming here, I figured why not? I kind of equate mechanic visits with a sense of inalienable dread that hits at the core.
Surreal but totally affable. Its so super old-​school. Its run by an older man named Harvey and his wife. He’s very adamant that he works alone. Very ornery and no BS (they kind of remind me of the Costanzas from Seinfeld with the bickering), but was able to do a pretty major repair as a walk in, and was pretty reasonable, and not out to metaphorically sodomize me as most mechanics seem to try to do. The seating area looks like it has not been cleaned since the 1970s and the reading material includes assorted Catholic tracts, 12 year old copies of Vegetarian times, PETA brochures, and weird random catalogs and magazines (2001 international male catalog, some really old Yachting magazine, bikini babes on hot rods, a 10 year old copy of wired, a 5 year old copy of Kiplingers… Weirdness…).
Anyway they were nice, even stayed late to finish the very major repair even though I was a walk-​in, took the time to check the car and explain the issue and what I may anticipate, and I don’t feel like I was metaphorically sodomized by the cost.
