This is your stereotypical Miami contractor that comes in promising the world while delivering nothing. This guy Joel started working on my house in South Miami and I delivered the deposit. About halfway through the day he calls and let’s me know he can’t complete the job due to some BS sob story but feels he’s «entitled» to almost all of the initial payment, despite doing nothing more that dropping off the materials! I had to get an attorney involved to get my deposit back. It was a complete nightmare. I recommend you learn to install and finish wood floors yourself before giving a dime to this scammer.

We had Apex come and refinish the wood floors of the bar of the Coconut Grove Sailing Club. We had 3 quotes, and although this one was not the cheapest, we wanted to work with this company.
Everything was alright, except that we are on the water front so the coats on the floor did not dry as fast as they should have and as a result this job was rushed. The chemical used to seal the floor is obviously not for high traffic areas and as a result is getting scuffed by everything. We requested a 3rd coat of seal be put on which he quoted at a ludicrous price. I do not recommend this company for professional establishments.

I recently had Joel and his team @ Apex work on installing new wood floors and refinishing my current Oak wood floors that are over 60 years old.
Joel came in and provided an estimate and took moisture readings and was able to help us determine it was time to change a part of our floor that had succumb to water damage and severe wear and tear.
The Apex team removed the old floor, prepped the area for the new floor and installed the wood in a timely fashion. We were more than overwhelmed with joy of the result of our new floor and the service provided that we asked them to refinish our old floor as well.
As with the first area the Apex team helped in covering and protecting the surrounding area, sanded and refinishing the floor leaving it looking brand new.
I would recommend using Apex Wood Floors for any work you need done in your home and Joel Perez and his team have the professionalism to get the job done right.
