Awful experience. They get you in with a low price and you pay their fee. Then you actually expect them to call a few days ahead to arrange time to pick up to vehicle, right? Well NO. Everyday it was,” oh we are looking for someone to dispatch to get the car.” You have left vehicle with someone in duress now. Days go by. No arrangement. No calls You call and they say didn’t you read the contract? We actually have 7 or 10 days to get the car to you! The booking person said it might slip one day in a case of emergency. So now you are STUCK. No power to do anything. So then 5 days later they say driver needs more money… They do not believe in working with what they agreed upon. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CON ARTISTS! Save yourself the headache. They are really friendly until they have your money and then they have the power and they use it against you.

This is my first time using Autostar Transport Express. I would use them again if ever needed in the future. My broker kept me well informed and accommodated my specific requests for my vehicle shipment. More than anything is you just can’t put a price on excellent customer service and my broker was very courteous and professional.

I booked my car from Las Vegas to Honolulu with David Davies at Autostar. He was great to work with even though I had to change my dates several times. The price was great and the service even better. They kept me informed through the whole process. I am very happy with their service.

I’ve had a great experience using Auto Star, which safely transported my car from Los Angeles to Durham twice during the past 3 years. Plus, I was able to pack 100 pounds of items into the car for free and get it transported to and from college. The price was around $ 900. The safest thing is to pay in cash once the driver delivers your car to you. That way you don’t get scammed. Although, I had a really nice Korean truck driver drop off my car, and he probably wouldn’t have scammed me anyhow.

Liars!!! I was told that they will not charge credit card until conformation of driver is confirmed. I had to go with another company because they did not get me a driver. They charged my credit card for $ 175 and will not return it. Do not use them!!!

We had great service from AutoStar Transportation, they first moved a vehicle for us from Raleigh, NC to Chicago, IL. In the dead of winter and high travel season, Marcelo responded to emails and calls promptly and got us the vehicle quickly, despite the holiday traffic and bad Midwestern weather.
We also used Autostar for a shorter St. Louis, MO transport and Marcelo once again found a professional, timely carrier for the right price!
They use easy software to sign contracts online and accept credit cards over the phone.
We will use them again and recommend to our industry partners! Ask for Marcelo!

AutoStar Transport Express gave me a quote and now my cars are sitting. They put me on a board with a very low price and now drivers are not calling. And the worst part is their phone number is disconnected

One star doesnt even describe ehat i feel abot these guys. Needed to move mi car ASAP from florida to georgia and hired first «autostar transport express» they told me they could get the job done and when the day came the driver «YVETTE» from «j&g state transport llc» had me all day waiting for her without even giving me a call to let me know she was coming late… From 11am to 8:30pm i waited for them… I called several times and they kept telling me in 2 hrs we’ll be picking up your car and i didnt go to work waiting for them all day. so i called and they told me at 11pm i was really mad and told them i didnt want their service because they had me waiting 12hrs near the area where i had the car! And lost 100 $ Deposit because i didnt ship the car with them when they didnt hesitate to call at least to see how things were going… VERY BAD communication, Keep away from these guys… They are the worst company for transports! Hire coastal auto shipping! I talked with alex duran. A really good guy! I recommend them with my eyes closed.

These guys are the most dishonest transport company I have used and I ships cars 2 – 3 times per year.
They took a couple of days to quote a price. When agreed upon they said they had a driver in place and ready to go.
Two days later they had not yet picked up the car and were unable to provide me with driver information.
I found out they did not have a driver and were still looking for one.
I went to another company, secured a driver and had the car picked up.
AutoStar would not reimburse the $ 150 deposit, even after they admitted they lied and did not have a driver and were not ready to ship the car.
Dishonest and the type of company that gives them all a bad reputation. AVOID

I wish there was a negative four star rating. Everything they promised was a lie and they never came to pick up my car on time after multiple promises and then they do not want to refund my deposit. SHADY!!!

Don’t use may be cheaper but not worth the hassle they will ask for more money once they have your car. This letter was sent to auto star with my dissatisfaction I am still awaiting a response. And my car was delivered damaged

Back in June I contacted your company and spoke with Sheldon Perez regarding the transportation my Mini Countryman from Hawaii to Georgia. I contracted your company to transport my vehicle for $ 1599.00 with and estimated delivery date of August 20, 2015. I paid for your service in full with an American Express card including the additional fees for that full payment. Sheldon was alway professional and available to answer my question the relationship with you company in the beginning was very professional and highly recommendable. That relationship took a drastic turn once my car arrived to California by Matson. I was contacted by your company twice asking for additional money to deliver my vehicle once for $ 200.00 and than again for $ 100.00 on both occasions I refused. I sent Sheldon an email expressing my dissatisfaction with the request for additional funds. Sheldon contact and apologized and said no additional fees would occur and in fact he had a driver who would deliver my car early August 15, 2015. I this point I became pleased with the way you company was handling my displeasure by having my car arrive several days early.
Saturday arrive no call no show from the delivery driver at 5:03 pmSaturday I send the driver an email (number provided by Sheldon) asking for and ETA for my vehicle at 6:47 pm this is the response «No sorry our new truck had to go in to dealership. Cause diff was getting hot they said it will be ready Monday morning so driver will drop you car Tuesday» Ok Tuesday 8:55 am I text asking if we are still on schedule for delivery I received no call and no show with the vehicle. I caller the driver and Wednesday a female dispatcher answered and said the driver will deliver the car Wednesday late afternoon again no call no show. At this point I am totally frustrated. Once I was told my car would be delivered on Saturday I changed my travel plans to leave Thursday am August 20^th. I contact your customer service department and spoke with Martina who in turn contacted the driver spoke with a Gabby and made arrangements to have the car delivered by 6:30 am Thursday Morning due to my travel schedule. I was ensured my car would be delivered at that time. At 6:30 am no call no show from the driver so I contacted the numbers provided by Martina and was told the driver was stuck in traffic and would be at my door in 1 hour and if I could give him a ride back to his truck. I told this Gabby person that he was due at 6:30 and he need to come as close to the delivery point as possible and I will pick up my car. At 8:08am I text Gabby and ask where is the driver at 8:11 she text back the driver was pulled over. At this point I no longer trust anything this company has to say and I inform Gabby by text that I was going to report my car stolen and that I wanted the location of the driver. She tells me I have to «FUCKING wait». At this point a realize the unprofessional type of company I’m dealing with contracted by your company to handle the transport of my car.
I am beyond livid and frustrated. I paid in full for a service and this is what I get in return and bunch of rude unprofessional people who are unable to keep there own time schedule. Not only do I have to adjust my travel plans but this situation has cost me time and money not to mention I have to go and meet the driver to pick up my own car that I paid door to door service for. And my car was delivered damaged.
I would like a call back to discuss how I can be compensated for this unprofessional matter.

Denial of a customer requested refund for a deposit due to no services rendered and no services desired: I have not received any service from this company and do not wish for any future services. My deposit was submitted on 8÷7÷2015. I did not receive one phone call regarding service after the deposit was submitted. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am unable to transport the car. So I requested my deposit back. I sent an email to Sofia Wolfe at:
on 8÷9÷2015 to state that I would not need their services and to request a refund for the deposit. In addition, this company has an extensive track record of being VERY unprofessional and dishonest. They have been unprofessional to me as well regarding the refund. (Despite how polite I was, Mark, the manager, was very rude throughout the phone call and laughed just before he hung up on me at the end of the call) They do not have the customer’s interest at heart and from the reviews/​responses I have recently read, they are a dishonest business. I would not EVER use this company in the future nor recommend my friends/​family to them. Please, assist me with receiving my deposit back. Thank you so much. Have a great day.

Plenty of negative press about all the shipping contractor companies. I went with these guys on a recommendation my wife got from a friend. I’m military and had to move my car from Arizona to Hawaii. The customer service rep, lucho, worked well with me and was communicative throughout the process. No worries dealing with them and would recommend them without hesitation. My vehicle had to be moved from a remote area to begin with and lucho spent a lot of time trying to find someone to work with. Again, no issues and my vehicle arrived on time without damage and on time. Auto star is just basically a coordinator but for their part, I am very happy and definitely recommend.

I am giving a star because my car actually got here, but the whole process has been such a nightmare!
I booked a carrier by paying a deposit three weeks in advance. My broker knew that I would be taking a flight on the 29^th, and I needed the car picked up before then. I was told I’d have a carrier, and when I called the carrier myself after waiting and getting no call, they told me their truck broke down! Granted, that was not AutoStar Transport’s fault, but they never notified me until the day of actual pick-​up, which was then delayed by another day, and my drop-​off date was delayed by 3 days.
I understand that the delivery times vary and that there are factors that are out of everyone’s control. My issue is that in all of this, I never once heard again from my broker (Max), and when I tried to reach him the other people in the office said they are all a team and talking to them is the same as talking to Max.
When I got in touch with the driver, he was rude and dismissed all of my concerns. I would give a better review if someone had been courteous enough through all of this to say, «hey, we’re sorry, it’s going to be a little longer.» But no, instead they ignored me for DAYS and refuse to even refund my deposit, which was supposedly going to give me some peace of mind.
Never again.

They Subcontracted to Crooks!
My mother-in-law’s car was shipped from FL to NJ. AutoStar subcontracted the job to Miami Transport. Upon arrival, my MIL noticed that the tank was empty and there were 300 extra miles on the car. We argued and argued with the driver and the dispatchers who called us liars. Lo and behold– three weeks later we get TWO tickets from NY port of authority that show the car was driven in and out of the city twice without paying any tolls. What idiots!!! And now, Miami Transport has refused to answer any phone calls and we haven’t heard back from AutoStar. We are awaiting a response and a full refund. Obviously legal action is our next step.

There’s another Auto Star Transport in WA — the 3 complainants may be confusing that company with the one I did business with.
I found this company via the internet. My experience with them was VERY positive. I bought a highline car in Colorado and needed it shipped to south FL in an enclosed carrier. Their quoted price was very reasonable but that’s not why I chose to do business with them. It was their demonstrated knowledge and professionalism that won my business. We agreed on an ESTIMATED pick up date and ESTIMATED delivery date. I knew there needed to be a window on both sides since they organize the carrier they don’t haul the load.
In my case, the car was picked up on time. Whenever I called them they were as proactive and responsive as I expected them to be. They followed up during transport and had the driver call me to confirm delivery date. After delivery, they also followed up unsolicited to make sure everything went well — which I’m happy to say it did.
Most of the complaints I’ve read don’t seem to reflect the entire story but are slanted to suit the complainant or are about things AutoStar cannot hope to control. For example, they don’t do the hauling so you can disregard any complaints about transit damage right away… that can happen with any expediter and any carrier. There’s always two sides to every issue… the internet makes it very easy for anyone to anonymously blast anyone else with a slanted picture. Again, AutoStar Transport did an expert and professional job of lining up a terrific car carrier — I highly recommend AutoStar for auto transport.
