A bit hard to find, it shares space with it’s sister restaurant — Chinos Chinos. Odd match, I know, but the food here was extremely good and reasonably price. It was a great place for lunch.

Delicious! I’d heard so much about Baklava Factory that I’m not quite sure why it took me so long to check it out. I have to admit I was so excited that the gentleman at the counter gave me a complimentary sample of the delicious mini-treats ahhh well that’s one express lane way to my heart, free sweets. I proceeded to ask a million questions even engaging a fellow patron and regular about what he recommended(btw he recommends the chicken sandwich). I decided to create my own mini-box of sweets based purely on how lovely they looked and how curious I was to find out what they tasted like. Much to my delight it was all wonderful. Even better news? Baklava Factory will soon be moving closer to Brickell. Goodbye cupcakes, Hello baklava

I like this place so much so that I make sure to have lunch there every Saturday! The service is amazing, the restaurant is owned by a former chef that takes pride in every sweet and dish that they serve. Their fatoush salad is one of the best I have ever had. I order it with grilled chicken. I also had their hummus(again one of the best I’ve had) with beef shawarma meet on it. They made it, fresh as it gets. I took many friends there and all agree there sandwiches and food are all amazing! A must try!(by the way, they will be moving soon in a few months)

I stopped by this place after lunch for some dessert. I haven’t been too exposed to all the varieties of desserts other than baklava so I consider this little shop pretty impressive. The owner was very nice and patient in answering all my questions and even gave me generous samples of the different sweets to help me make a decision. If I make it back to Miami, I would definitely make it back for the sweets and also to try their other foods.

I went to this place b/c my sil raved about it. Went and loved it. I hope people start frequenting this place, its kind of in a non descript location and easy to miss but worth seeking out. I have been exposed to arabic food since I was very young thanks to my father’s business partners, an amazing family that cooks equally amazing, and this is the only place with desserts that rival the ones they make. I have not tried the food, just the desserts, and that is enough to make me want to head back over there!

So I went in to pick up lunch this past week and I was pleasently surprised. I had the beef shawarma and it was so good! While I waited the gave me a cookie ok and a type of Lebanese cake which was great. I ordered a few desserts to take to work. The lady fingers were probably the best I’ve ever had. All of them were simply delicious: baklava, the pistachio desserts, and a few others. I loved being able to sample a ton of different desserts without breaking the bank. I will definitely be back. Can’t wait to try more things!

This one month and half old establishment in the middle of Miami surprised me in that it is homey, clean and modern, a stark contrast with the other small Middle Eastern bakeries in the area. You’ll find people here in the early mornings and in the evenings, especially on weekends. There are several things going for this place, besides ambience. First off, the Lebanese transplant & owner, Mohammed, is cousins with a guy who runs a pita bread factory in Broward County — thus ensuring fresh supplies of Lebanese style(thinner, good for shawarmas) pita bread($ 2). Second, there’s a wide variety of sweets available. And more are being planned. They have a lot of sweets because they also sell wholesale although anyone wanting a few bites for himself will be able to order as many or as little as he pleases. Third, there are daily specials — it could be fish one day, or a rack of lamb on another day. And what they do have to offer looks good. The kafta shawarma($ 5) was delicious and just the way it is supposed to be, and I had it with a small side of tabbouli($ 2) which was well made. There’s also a big slice of traditional kanafe($ 7) that has plenty of cheese and is good. It may be a bit pricey considering that most desserts in restaurants would charge less, but it is homemade and fresh(as is everything else in the store), and the size is bigger than what most would offer. Fourthly, there are groceries. While the offerings for groceries are not abundant, the things that they do have are of good quality and very reasonably priced. For example, a good brand of Lebni, such as Zdan, is offered around Miami for either $ 3.75 or $ 4. Here, it’s $ 3.25, and they’re planning on offering three Zdan for $ 5 soon. And lastly, they will offer hookah soon for people to use. In other words, it seems that they really know how to make a Lebanese bakery work in Miami. Mohammed is serious about offering high-quality products and he would even refuse to offer something that is not so good. This place is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood. Note: While this part of town is heavily Hispanic, you could plan on visiting the Latin American-focused Miami-Dade Public Library across the street, use their free wi-fi, catch up on some books, and whatever else!
