Is actually located on the Johnson & Wales campus, around 127th st. Like a couple other Unilocalers, I came here looking for something different than the usual(albiet great) Miami cuisine. There were about 15 different trucks here offering anything from churros, bacon ice cream, bbq, burgers, spagetti etc, pretty much something to please anyone’s palette. I ended up getting ribs from a truck called Porkalicious, they were fantastic. Also had a salted caramel shake, not as fantastic, and a single fish taco from another truck(also pretty great). Expect to spend about 20 bucks if you really want to try food from a number of the trucks.

For anyone who loves food trucks, other than the Hollywood round-up, this one is about as good as it gets. It’s more of a question of which food trucks are NOT there, rather than which ones go there. Just about every known food truck in South Florida lines the streets around the Johnson and Wales campus. Whatever you’re in the mood for, as long as it can be made in a truck, you will find it here.

I am so happy that fellow Unilocalers recommended the Biscayne Triangle Truck Round-Up to me when I was planning my trip to Miami. It was a nice break from the Spanish restaurants and trendy Miami restaurants I had planned for the trip. Everyone in the family loved this event and we all split up and found exactly what we wanted. I probably spent around $ 30 just like Megan M. and visited 6 food trucks, while picking off everyone elses food as well. I had everything from Asian cuisine to a Red Velvet Cake Shake. This was also my first food truck round-up and pre-empted the food truck rally movement that has now taken Tampa Bay by storm. I really liked how spacious the event was and that the lines did not get too long(sometimes the lines in Tampa can be so bad I just want to drive home). I remember thinking that I would be unable to visit another group of food trucks unless I drove down to Miami again, but not so nowadays. although the great food trucks I tried in Miami are missed and I look forward to my next trip to Miami so I can enjoy the great grilled cheese sandwiches once again.

Probably the best food trucking experience I have ever had so far. It’s unlike any other in that this round-up had the most food trucks and a good variety of cuisine. It’s also the longest, re-occurring food truck event in Miami which happens every Tuesday from 5:30−9pm. A plus for not only being available during lunch, but for late afternoon/dinner hours. It’s very organized and put-together. The layout and location are perfect and there is plenty of free parking. There is live music playing, a huge lawn that can be used for picnicking, and some of the food trucks even offer tables and chairs which adds to the«truck dining» experience. My personal favorites: Manila Rice Guiseppe’s Italian Sausage Churro Mania I also have to point out how affordable this particular food truck event is. We were able to eat $ 50 worth of food for two people at one single event with many food options.

This is probably one of the better food truck round ups as far as available parking and lots of truck options which helps with the lines. More space also ensures you aren’t stuck in a hot bed of exhaust and kitchen heat, like the Hard Rock food truck meet up. The best for me is Cheesious — I had the prosciutto and Gruyère on sourdough, a real treat.

I suppose it would be unfair to use this listing to rate the actual food since each truck deserves to be judge on its own. But as a rally/round-up, I have to give this 5 stars! The layout is great, there is plenty of free parking to be had, a huge lawn just begging to be picnicked upon, and the trucks are laid out in a very sensible fashion. You can walk up and down the whole semi-circle of trucks and feast on your fatness on the lawn in the middle. Everyone is happy, everyone is nice, everyone is smiling, and it is just a good olé time! Sometimes they even have music. Definitely bring a blanket or lawn chair or something. Some of the trucks have little sidewalk café type setups but frankly the lawn is more cozy and spacious than sitting right in the middle of the people traffic. I’d also suggest setting a per-person budget before you even leave the house. Share portions and try everything! If you can’t find something you like at at least one of these trucks, then you just don’t like food. And if you don’t enjoy yourself just wandering about, then you just don’t like people. And if you don’t like food and you don’t like people then well I just don’t know why you are on this site! :)

Wonderful addition to the neighborhood. Brings the community together every Tuesday evening. About 20 food trucks so you have plenty of selections from american, asian, cuban, german, latin, mexican, seafood and yummy desserts! Come hungry and bring lawn chairs and your friends. Police patrol during operation which is good cause sometimes there are some unruly teens. Just ignore them and enjoy the food. The seafood truck has delicious lobster and shrimp sandwiches. The grilled cheese truck… amazing!

If you never been to one and want to go and experience the«gathering of food trucks»,…do it. It’s a great concept/idea. If you are going because of the food, well… that’s a different story. I haven’t try all of them, but I made sure I tried enough to write an accurate review. I mean it’s not bad food, but it’s not great either. Factor in the price, it’s not really worth it for me. Every time I go, I end up spending $ 14 – 15 easy(a burger and 2 tacos). What happen to low operating cost and past on the savings to the customers? I can go to Five guys burger to get a better burger with more money left over, …and they definitely put more money to operate than a truck. I think that most of the people there go because of the idea/atmosphere/concept more than the food itself. It’s like a miniature state fair or a picnic. On the other hand, we all know how atmosphere can influence how high we rate the«food» itself. When was the last time you had burnt chicken wings at the beach bbq with the family and think it’s the greatest wings ever? In the end, I think my last trip to the BTTR was my last with the exception of trying to catch Jefe’s outside of BTTR once in awhile.

These are the times I think… I would love to have 4 stomachs just like a cow. So many trucks and so little space in my belly!!! This is fantastic. Just perfect. The food trucks provide not only food, but a place to gather — in the beautiful Miami outdoors! The food trucks were great, really great, but the fact that families and friends get together and lounge around on the green is so beautiful. There were various trucks to chose from, when you first get there you are overwhelmed with the choices. My strategy was to share and try a little bit of everything that I could fit in my little stomach. I tried hot dogs, braised short-rib sliders, tacos, nachos, and churros. Everything was delicious. The churros were drizzled with chocolate and condensed milk… hmmmm. I can’t wait to return to the BTTR… next time I’ll come better prepared, some wine, lawn chairs, picnic blankets and my dog.

I went to one of the first BTTR’s last winter, and WOW! What a long way it has come! I think there were about 30 trucks tonight– and almost any type of cuisine you could want. Lots of dessert options too! So much fun going with friends and trying a bite or two at many different trucks. Definitely take a walk around all the trucks and check out everyone’s menus before deciding– there are almost too many trucks to choose just one! Also– bring chairs/blanket/seating so that you can enjoy your food in comfort!

BTTR is a great Tuesday night tradition! Parking is easy on the J&W Campus and I love that it’s family friendly since kids can run around in a big open space without having to worry about cars. You park on one side and the trucks are accessed from the other side. It’s grown so much in recent weeks — what started out as just a few people on picnic blankets is now a huge space of people with tables & chairs and I have seen a lot more people bringing adult beverages in recent weeks. The food truck options are overwhelming and some of the best ones have long lines so wear your patience hat. My favorite trucks are Ms Cheezious, Red Koi & Sweetness Bake shop. Also don’t miss out on the Johnson & Wales bake shop — it’s under a small tent — they have amazing cookies!

BTTR has definitely become one of the best things to do on a Tuesday night. What started as a 20 truck party is now over 35 trucks and counting! However, I’d like to know WTF happened to the bands? There hasn’t been music in 3 weeks. At first I thought it was due to the threat of rain, but last night there was clear skies and no band. One of the most awesome things about BTTR was the live music. It’s a shame too as the amount of people setting up chairs on the picnic grounds has been growing every week. I’m going to have to downgrade BTTR to 4 stars. It’s still awesome but it would be so much better with the live music. Bring back the REGGAEBAND!!!

I think it’s so cool that Miami’s food trucks have really taken off. The fact that there are rallies or round-ups at least 4 days a week(mostly without any permit drama) is just awesome! I recently headed up to North Miami on a Tuesday night for the BTTR, and it totally rocked! Parking was no problem once we found the right spot(on the Johnson & Wales campus). In my head, I pictured trucks rounded up in a parking lot, so I was pleasantly surprised to see the grassy expanse laid out before us when we arrived. Next time I must remember to bring some Captain’s chairs in the trunk! With so many amazing food trucks to choose from, it was hard to choose where we wanted to eat. Wandering from one end to the next, we settled on a starter of the short rib-chunk’d cheesy tots from the Dim Ssam a gogo truck. We ended up finishing off the rest of our meal(with beer picked up from a neighboring gas station) at the Slow Food Truck, with the short rib sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich, and«The Stank,» a bleu cheese-stuffed burger. All the food was outstanding(see my individual reviews for my raves)!! Everything was amazing, and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. I hope to make it back soon to sample some more of the trucks that I haven’t yet crossed paths with, and the new ones that continue to roll out every week!

Fat kids’ fantasy camp. I don’t know how else to describe this smörgåsbord! Seriously, I ate more than I have in a week. I rolled up with some good friends. We were ready to go with a blanket and beer, and I was totally overwhelmed by the options. There were 30 trucks — everything from Sakaya Kitchen to Sugar Rush to Giuseppe’s Italian sausage truck whose name escapes me. Looking for vegetarian-only cuisine, my options were somewhat limited, but lucky me, there were quite a few trucks with choices that suited my appetite. I tried one«hippie» taco from Montaco’s(thanks to Yislin for the name reminder) and it was just ok. Then I went with a harvest grilled cheese from Ms. Cheezious — havarti and grilled spiced apples. YUMMMMMMM. Sooooo damn delicious. I also broke my no-sugar rule for an evening and tried a couple items from Sugar Rush. Fried oreos(my all time favorite) and a couple cupcakes(definitely more moist than the ones I’ve tried at the store). Who could ask for more on a Tuesday night than wayyyyy too much food, great friends and a grassy field on which to enjoy it? Good times. But next time I visit, I’ll remember to fast for three days ahead of time …

Ventured off last night to see all sixteen trucks and what they had to offer. I am not exactly 100% sold on these food trucks just yet but it is something different, hell you can even wear your pajamas, no need to impress. Wait, did I just really say that when they had a camera crew from some news station set up with their bright lit camera’s on. It was fun to watch when people drove past and was like woah, they would slow down just to see what was going on. The whole concept is pretty cool while some are definitely better than others. We ate at three separate trucks last night. We did leave full and it was a nice chill evening just walking around. Be prepared to spend some time here. They make the food to order and sometimes you can wait up to twenty minutes for your order. Patience is a must. They had a good crowd with a very strange client base. I think people drive from all over to check this location out. Some tourist, some locals, and some weirdo’s for sure. One large group brought their own table set it up with chairs and all. Now this is the right way to enjoy it. I always have a hard time standing up, purse in hand, water in the other, so chairs sound good. Plus I saw several dog’s and all I was hoping for was that I would not step in a pile of crap. Also, some truck’s pricing was a bit steep for what you get. As I waited for my order all I could think of is what is missing? Besides the obvious vegetarian and Italian food but heck I so wanted a cocktail truck with alcohol, beer and wine. Yep, now that would have earned five star status! There was one truck in particular that I would go out of my way to try again because it was that good.

Best idea to come around these parts since sliced bread. Well maybe that’s an exaggeration, but the best idea since Flip Burger showed up down the street. This Biscayne Triange has been the sole home to Jefe’s Fish Taco Truck for the better part of a year now. He would usually set up camp here on weekday evenings. Now you can come here on Tuesdays and experience the virtual carnival of food truck grub. Best to get there early, bring some cold brews, and your Unilocal beer coozies. Else you can just take your grub across the street to the Ukelele bar if you find yourself with taco in one hand and beerless in the other. Read about the Ukelele here:

Tonight was my first food truck experience, and what a way to start! It’s close to home, so it was really convenient to be a few minutes from home after my food coma. Trucks lined the area and lots of people were out and eager to try all of the different foods. Great crowd, and even better food! Here’s a quick rundown of what my brother and I scarfed down: 1. Jefe’s– Taco carnitas. Delicious! Bursting with flavor. 2. The Rolling Stove– Chicken Biscuit. Next time, I’ll skip the onions. So good, but super messy. 3. CheeseMe– Mac & Cheese pancakes. Yummy on the outside, needs more flavor on the inside. Once you got past that crispy outer layer, it was lacking in taste. 4. Caza Crepes– La Classique. So delicious. I can’t wait to try the nutella, bananas, and strawberry one next time. The crepes are perfectly cooked, and the staff was great. 5. Slow Food Truck– Fatty Burger. OMG. I can’t even describe the gooey, cheesy goodness. 6. Wing Commander– Eh. 15 wings for $ 5 is a great deal, but the wings weren’t great and the buffalo sauce was smokier than I was expecting. 7. Dolci Peccatti– Cookies n Cream. So good and super soft. It tasted like a creamy cupcake! We dropped about $ 30 on all of this. Most things are pretty cheap. Once you start sampling all over the place, you can drop a lot of cash. Dolci Peccatti will take cards with a $ 10 minimum. Can’t wait for next week!

On a grassy knoll sits the way to my heart… Food Trucks. With this new Biscayne location there is no excuse to not go out and support our South Florida Mobile Munch Houses. From Caza Crepes to The Rolling Stove– this spot is hawt! This is some serious grubbin’ that is not for the faint of stomach. Tonight there were 12 trucks slinging their tasty morsels for everyone to enjoy. Truck-Fricken-Tastic! There is ample parking all around the place. It’s a free-for-all! You see a spot you like, go right ahead and take it. No one’s saying a peep. There was an awesome crowd gathered in the 40 + degree weather which is a testament to how awesome these wheeled cowboys are. The only thing that could make this and any other Food Truck Court spectacular would be the addtion of a Booze Bus! Come on, any takers?

Another surprise this 2nd time around: the round up doubled in size. This time there were 13 trucks/vendors that made a showing. Very impressive. Today’s round up included: The Rolling Stove, Montaco, All Points Eatery, Caza Crepes, CheeseMe, Dolci Peccati Gelato, Grill Master Café, Miso Hungry, Ms Cheezious, Nacho Mama’s Mexican Grill, Wing Commander, Jefe’s Original Fish Taco & Burgers, Chipstix Not bad for a 2nd go ’round.
