Came here with a few friends on a Friday night, and the best way to describe Bloom is «meh.» The portions are ridiculously small and the food was nothing to write home about. To be honest, I can’t even remember everything we ordered since I was left so whelmed. For sure we shared the pad thai, maybe the salmon tiradito too. Point is, you’re better off going somewhere else and spending half the money. One thing I will give them credit for is their spectacular desserts. The malted bread pudding and tres leches are the . Service was okay, atmosphere(both inside and out) was nice though. Street parking available for free 99, so another one in the plus column.

Having heard mixed reviews and read an average 3.5 rating on Unilocal,I was a bit skeptical. I was pleasantly surprised and glad I gave Bloom a try. Their fusion concepts worked for me! I ordered off of the Miami Spice menu. Appetizer was«White Fish Shaken» — such a mysterious, and somewhat unappetizing, name. This dish turned out to be a tropical ceviche dish served in a Mason jar. The server shook up the closed jar in front of us to mix up the pineapple, onions, red peppers, arugula, and sauce. Sweet, spicy, milky = yum! On par with the ceviche of the much-raved-about Cvi che 105 in downtown. Main course was the Korean bi bim bop. My attempts at finding satisfactory Asian restaurants in Miami have been for the most part epic FAILS, so I had my doubts, but I thought this dish was executed quite well. It arrived in a sizzling hot stone bowl, with veggies and a raw egg to be cooked using the heat of the bowl itself. Kim chi and a Korean BBQ sauce were served on the side. The rice that touched the sides of the hot bowl became(intentionally) crispy which added a nice texture. Thumbs up, although I agree with the Unilocaler below who commented that the kim chi could’ve been spicier. Desert was the«Ice Bomb,» which was shaved ice with a chef’s choice of topping. Compliments to the chef, who used a sweet fruity syrup, peanuts, and what I think was condensed milk. I’ve never had shaved ice, a.k.a. sno-ball, at a sit down restaurant before, but this was a great way to end the meal as we sat outdoors on the patio on a warm night.(Sidenote: I have yet to figure out why sno-ball stands have not caught on in Miami. This is my new business idea, please don’t steal it). Downside: service was good but could be better. Dishes came out at different times for our group of four, so we’d sit staring longingly at our fellow diners’ plates. Menu had many other creative dishes that I’d like to return to try.

Came here for Miami Spice and fell in love! This is the first place in Florida that I’ve found Bibimbap! I absolutely love the ambience and look of the place, I could sit there for hours and be happy. Outside is beautiful at night, they have great lights and nice music. The food quality is fantastic and the menu has a perfect selection for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Super clean and beautiful food. I had the vegetarian curry, and it was so flavorful and elegant. It was not heavy like a normal curry dishes. I can’t wait to go back.

Came here yesterday for dinner with friends before art walk, and it was fantastic. I ordered the summer ceviche, kimchi, and the bi bim bap. The summer ceviche was to die for. So many flavours bundled up into one little mason jar! Super refreshing with a kick of spice. The bi bim bap was also phenomenal. All of the veggies were super fresh, and the duck confit was mouthwatering. I also loved the miso sauce that came with it — it complemented the dish nicely, and I liked that it was on the side so you could put as much/little as you wanted! I wasn’t a huge fan of the kimchi, but that’s because I like it spicier and with a bit more bite. The atmosphere was wonderful. We sat outside and the patio was fantastic. It was the perfect evening with a nice breeze, and halfway through our meal a live band started playing which made it that much better! I would definitely suggest Bloom Wynwood to anyone looking for a delicious meal in the Wynwood area!

I drove by this place plenty of times and had no idea it was an Asian fusion/Asian themed restaurant. Overall i think the food was good, we had several small plates and shared them. One of the plates, the kimchi… was not to my liking at all… that’s why they get three stars. Otherwise, service was decent, not great… but not bad either. I would probably go again because i enjoyed the vibe, and some of the dishes were really good. The outdoor patio was nice and cool and the place seems like a cool little spot for drinks in the evening for a low key vibe. I would recommend it for a chill time, nothing too hype and crazy, but for good drinks and decent food in the Wynwood area.

The wife & I are Grovites, and usually do Sundays there, but work required me to wander out so we decided to try Bloom since we had driven past it so many times. Our Sunday brunches always include Ulric the foodie dachshund, so I was pleased when they not only offered us a «small dog» table, but asked if he was a service dog first. He even got his water before ours. Smoked Pork Belly Gyoza — my personal opinion, the filling was a little overworked and lost its«belly”-ness, but the smoke was perfect and they were very tasty. The pan-sear on the outside was textbook perfect. Teok Boki — I work at a Korean restaurant and have never had Korean rice cakes, so I tried theirs. This is not a dish for the unadventurous: the texture is not something in American cuisine, but interesting. The spam is cooked to an almost croûton-like consistency which is nice with the soft, chewy rice cakes & the sauce is sweet, spicy and a little pungent all balanced well. Steak & Eggs — the ubiquitous name doesn’t do this justice. The flawless SSU egg on top of perfectly temped steak nestled in an adobo made from a Guatamalan dried chilé that I had to Google to identify. Chinese Sausage Moo Shu — this was the only truly flawed dish. On the nitpicky side, it annoys me when descriptions are inaccurate: this was diced pork, not sausage. Execution-wise, it was swimming in sauce; not good for food you’re trying to eat in a pancake by hand. That being said, it was as delicious as any of the other dishes. We’ll have to come back some evening and try their full menu, but we’ll definitely do so.

Bloom is a cool venue for drinks, early or late at night. The ambiance is quite different to what you may be accustomed to when going out in South Florida. Wynwood is booming, and Bloom is a perfect example. The outdoor patio is quite charming and can be very enjoyable on not-so-warm days. I didn’t eat so cannot comment on the food, but each cocktail we had was prepared carefully and on point. Our friend basically told us: Bloom is great for drinks, not so much for food. I will definitely return, so be back soon for happy hour, Bloom.

Over priced food and over small portions. Nothing crazy about it. It’s even difficult to order dinner since the dishes come whenever they’re ready so not everybody at the table will eat at the same time. Not convenient at all. It may be ok if you are only two people but more than than and it becomes complicated because the portions are super small and you can decently share otherwise.

Just came back from a great meal. We were four people. Started with the potato chips, the artichokes and the salmon app. All tasty and delicious and plentiful, especially the chips. They even managed to stay crisp on such a soggy night. Next we had the shitake enchilada, the skirt steak, the pad thai. The shitake enchildada was the star of the show. All the dishes were excellent. Then topped it off with bread pudding and some molten chocolate(spicy hot) desserts. We left satisfied. It’s not the cheapest game in town, but the outdoor seating was lovely. The service good. And the food good. Those of you whining about the portion sizes. If you want lots of food for little money go to Cheesesteak Factory. Bloom is definitely a place to come back to again, especially during season at the Arscht Center.

Killer happy hour. I popped by yesterday around 7pm to toast to a day well done(and you can too Tuesdays-Fridays from 5−8pm). We hung out in the outdoor area and Nathaniel served up each of my 3 Mandarin Honeysuckles($ 4 each!) with perfect taste consistency. The drink itself easily lands on my top 10 favorite Miami cocktails list and the space nails it too. Open air, light breeze, good conversation, this place wins for happy hour. Most notably, expertly made cocktails are leaving the bar for only $ 4. The wine and beer offerings are remarkable as well. I enjoyed the cod fritters, sweet and spicy rice cakes and the tender, sweet eggplant. The $ 4 happy hour was so satisfying, I’ll have to try dinner again or the Sunday dim sum.

My new favorite restaurant in Midtwon!!! Wow. Is all I can say. From the service to the atmosphere to the presentation of the food and especially to the TASTE of the food this place deserves more than 5 stars! ON a side note for those of you wondering this place beats GIGI by a million(no comparison)! Let me just start off by saying my family and I are extremely picky eaters, it takes a lot to truly impress us, and Bloom overpassed that by far! Everything we ate was so tasteful you could just tell how much thought and time was put into the making of the food. Bloom is an Asian fusion/latin –tapas kind of restaurant so if this is your style trust me this is the place for you! The food: The arepas were outstanding, they were a tiny little treat but oh so good I wanted to eat about 20. The pad-thai DONTGETME started this was TOOODIE for, literally best pad-thai I ever had! The vegan fried rice: WOW. TRYIT!!! The desert: the bread pudding was served in the cutest presentation and was so good I don’t have words to describe it! One thing that I loved about Bloom was that you didn’t leave there feeling like you had just ate a cow, one left satisfied but the right perfect kind of satisfied. Service: The owners as well as the waiters were extremely polite and truly a great team and made sure that our party was more than satisfied. I am an official supporter of this establishment because it truly is a hidden gem in Wynwood. If you are debating whether to try it, don’t give it a second thought, just GO!

Bloom is just lovely. The food is awesome — we had a party of 10+ so I think since it’s tapas style, we tried at least some variation of virtually every item on the menu. Cocktail of the Night: Ring of Fire — we swapped out the vodka for tequilla, Lychees, House-made Honey Syrup and Fresno Chilli Pepper Highlights included: Shaken Octopus(the waiter literally«shakes» it table side) Shrimp Pad Thai(better than many Thai restaurants) Short Ribs Bi Bim Bap(sinfully delicious and also mixed table side) Duck Forbidden Rice(yummy) Chilean style Kobe skirt steak(served perfectly medium rare and melt in your mouth tender) Viet Nam Chua(crispy chicken thighs with pickled mango) Great company, food, music, drinks and a charming, attentive(and very attractive) staff.

Service is notoriously terrible in Miami, so it’s one of those things I’ve sort of just come to expect when dining out in the 305. Darn near every bar and restaurant you encounter includes an auto-gratuity at the bottom of the check, meaning most servers and bartenders don’t exactly have to woo you for an 18% addition to their pocketbooks. In another blaring example of that, Bloom. I guess Asian fusion tapas is still a relevant concept… but I was under the impression it went the way of the dinosaur along with wasabi mashed potatoes and truffle mac ‘n’ cheese. Hits that had a nice run, but don’t really belong on a menu in 2013. Bloom seems to be holding onto the last strands of a passing fancy… From the start of this particular meal, the way our table was upsold by our server, I thought I was trying to purchase a used car from a guy in a suit bought at Century 21. Recommendations to order 3 – 4 plates per person was an absurd notion once the dishes actually reached our table. We could have easily ordered 2 max per person. And at $ 12 — $ 27 per«small bite,» it bordered on highway robbery. For sake of ease, I’ll make Cliff’s Notes on what slid past our palates: + Tuna yuke seaweed ‘tacos’ = meh + Pad Thai = sadly, the best of all + Duck Forbidden Rice(black rice, duck comfit, duck egg, veggies) = over salted with way too many competing flavors to enjoy. Huge fail at $ 17. + Bi Bim Bap = not bad… not great either. + Arepas(Korean BBQ Short Rib & Crab Huancaina) = terrible. The ground corn was way too dry and masked all flavor between the sheets. + Cod kimchi fritters = good, not great. At $ 11, 3 – 4 people max get a chance to try one. For a table of 8 people, you’re basically paying over $ 20 for fried dough. If I had to do it all again, I’d probably just order drinks and maybe 1 – 2 plates total and hope I don’t get the stink eye from the server for not dropping $ 400 on a slew of mediocre small meals. On the plus side, they have a great outdoor patio which is ideal for nice nights in Wynwood. I’m a sucker for al fresco dining, so this would get me back through their doors for sure, even if I’m not a fan of their fare.

Bloom’s part of the power posse movement that’s been turning Wynwood around in a hurry. You’ll find some creative cocktails on the menu and some equally creative dishes as well. Whenever I go, I prefer to sit outside in their little patio area. Their outdoor area is situated right up against North Miami Avenue with 6 foot high shrubs that enclose the area, separating it from the side walk and car noise. From Bloom, you can easily bounce over to the new Pride & Joy BBQ hangout across the street, the Electric Pickle as well, or even the galleries of Wynwood. On certain nights they’ll have live music outside in the patio. It’s mostly acoustic, nothing that will blow your eardrums. Makes for a great date night, or a good choice if you have parents visiting from out of town that you want to impress by taking them to a trendy yet unthreatening destination.

A friend of mine booked dinner at Bloom Wynwood during Art Walk Night. After visiting a few galleries, we walked over to Bloom. It’s located across the street from Jimmy Zs and was less formal than I expected. We had a table for six inside next to the Kitchen. I started with a Native Lager and some Chips(we ended up ordered many baskets) but the rest of my party was enjoying their drinks form the Tequila Beets to their favorite the Ring of Fire(Kettle One, Lychees, House-made Honey Syrup and Fresno Chilli Pepper). We tried many of their dishes that night. My favorites were the Duck forbidden rice(black rice, duck comfit, duck egg, veggies); the bag of cashews that wasn’t on the menu; and the Chilean style Kobe skirt steak. There was live entertainment on that Saturday Night in the front outside bar area and it was standing room only. There is nearby free and metered parking on the streets of Wynwood. Note, it’s one very long block East of NW2nd Avenue. The walk from NW2nd to Wynwood might only be safe during Art Walk Night or Art Basal.

Despite the fire-y evening(literally — the art warehouse next door was up in flames and the street was closed), we had an amazing time at the fancy pants cocktail party. While we were a bit disappointed that we weren’t offered any cocktails on the regular menu, the two drinks we were offered were amazing: Mumbai Garden(Bombay Sapphire, Strawberry Lemonade, Chammomile Syrup and Basil) and Oakheart Filthy Fashion(Bacardi Oakheart Rum Old Fashioned with Filthy Black Cherries). I wished the Mumbai Garden had just a tad more basil flavour, but the Oakheart Filthy Fashion was really good. We kept hearing that there were going to be samples of food passed around, but never saw anything come out of the kitchen to try. We ended sitting down and ordering dinner, which was surprisingly really delicious. Korean bbq short rib arepa($ 6): The least dazzling part of the meal, the meat is seasoned well and the arepa buttery, but it seemed to be lacking still. There was only a little meat for the price, we ended up with more arepa than meat at the end. Shiitake enchilada($ 11): This vegan dish is absolutely delicious, tender shiitake mushrooms in a creamy(non-dairy) sauce with a rich tamal underneath. More like a tamal with toppings than a traditional enchilada, but delicious nonetheless. Bi Bim Bap w/Short Ribs($ 17): I’ve always wanted to try this traditional Korean dish, however just never had the opportunity. As such, I cannot say whether this holds up to traditional preparations, but it tasted amazing. I think the table runner was a bit put off when I didn’t let him stir it for us, but I wanted to take pictures(typical Unilocaler lol). The rice got crispier as it sat in the steaming bowl, making it even more delectable. The kimchi and accompanying sauce made it spectacular. Bread Pudding($ 10): We tried the bread pudding on recommendation of the server, as well as seeing a photo or two here on Unilocal. We were a bit disappointed when it came, as it had maybe a ½ scoop of ice cream on top, whereas a photo here on Unilocal had two huge scoops. But other than that, the dessert was creamy and decadent. We will order again, but will make sure to ask for ample ice cream ;) Service the entire time, from the bartenders, to server, to food runners and bussers, were extremely friendly, accommodating and professional. Excellent service, great food — a new favourite for sure.

New, quite spectacular spot in Wynwood featuring first rate Latin American and Asian fusion cuisine from an ex-Nobu chef and a cool, inviting open air bar scene with great, original cocktails. What a great experience from an ambitious, smart crew in Wynwood! Not unlike nearby Sugar Cane, Bloom offers a variety of smaller dishes, spanning arepas to cod kimchi fritters. Given the extremely high quality and obvious care put into each of the dishes, Bloom pulls this off with poise. Given some of my recent experiences in the neighborhood with weaker Asian restaurants that reach for the same space Bloom has mastered(notably Gigi), I actually came with expectations of a modest Asian meal. However, we had one of the best Miami meals in recent memory here! Cocktails were fantastic(try the world class«Tequila Beets» and the«La Pacaya,» with rum and bitters), appetizers only upped the ante(superb sockeye salmon tiradito with tomatillo salsa), and great entrees brought us home.(Great striped bass in broth, Chilean style Kobe skirt steak, Snapper with Crispy Bacon, and Duck«forbidden» rice – all terrific.) Bloom has a great mix working for it: the dining room is small, but the neon, fluorescent art and white walls give the impression of greater space, and the bright outdoor patio(which had live jazz the night we visited) is apparently a great spot for diners, singles, and drinkers alike. The private parking lot helps as well. We met Bloom’s two owners during the evening, too. They’re attentive, sincere, and seem rightfully headed for the success this promising, great newcomer deserves.

I went on a date here last Friday and we enjoyed our experience. We were told that the plates were small and shareable, so overall, we ordered 4 different plates. We decided to sit inside and the décor was quite modern with a twist. Pictures of flowers were posted up everywhere and the tables were white with comfortable cushions. We ordered this Asian fried rice, sweet and spicy shrimp, a steak, and an arepa + a dessert. The fried rice and steak were superb, the shrimp was pretty good. However, the dessert… OHMYGOODNESS! It was the most delicious bread pudding I have ever had. It was in this huge jar, and lets just say, it was empty in 10 minutes. Would definitely come again!!! :)

Oh, Bloom Wynwood! You have amazing décor, but your food lacked luster and flavor. I went this weekend with my friend who was leaving Miami, and we were impressed by your attentive service, and the pink color highlights around the restaurant made the experience very lively. However, the food was all right– but not good enough for the price. My friend and I ordered the duck fried rice, chicken curry, and roasted almonds, and the funny thing was that the roasted almonds were the best thing we tasted and also the cheapest. They were sweet to our liking. The duck needed some spice– a little kick to it. It was really bland. The curry could have been sweeter also. I did like the spice though. I’ve had better food at cheaper Asian fusion diners such as at Sakaya Kitchen, which is half the price.
