Tried here for the first time using my meal pass. Very impressed with their massaman curry. One of the very best I have ever had. Extremely tasty. Very friendly staff also. Will definitely dine there again.

Meh, this place is okay. I saw it had good reviews so my friends and I gave it a try. The place itself is nice and my favorite part of the evening was the lychee sake. Our appetizer, bag of gold, my dish, drunken noodle, and my friend’s dish, pad see ew, were okay. They weren’t bad, but they weren’t amazing either. The service was not very good. The place was fairly empty but we often had to flag down our server(who was very nice) to get service. Another thing that I didn’t like was they brought each dish out one by one. The tempura ice cream was good but the spoons were very small(think espresso spoons) so we ended up grabbing silverware off of the neighboring table. The end question is «Would I come back?» and the answer is maybe. I wouldn’t actively avoid this place but I would try somewhere else first.

While it may not be the cheapest option, Bonding remains one of my favorite places to eat in Brickell! Impressive selection of soups(must try the hangover soup) and Thai dishes that I crave time and time again. My absolute favorite is the Massaman curry! I do tend to stray away from the Japanese options, simply because the Thai food is better. Great lunch specials too

I don’t understand how this place is rated 4 stars. They don’t serve sashimi or nigiri and their rolls were so sour my face automatically cringed. Their Thai food might be okay but if you are looking for anything Japanese — avoid this place at all cost. Service staff were friendly.

We came to Bonding based on the raving reviews. However contrary to the other reviews, we found the food and service rather disappointing. We came in on a Friday night at 7pm, there was no other customers inside the restaurant(was this a sign?) Yet, somehow we were pretty much ignored for our whole dinner by our server(a young woman). The food was okay, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. This restaurant is a fusion of Thai/Japanese style so maybe the sushi wasn’t their thing and we should have ordered thai food instead. We started off with a few small bites, but didn’t want to order anything else after what we tasted… We had the: Cuba Ocho Tuna — ahi tuna didn’t taste very fresh, guac was flavourless Snow Roll — we enjoyed this roll especially with the seared snapper on top. Sleepless in Seattle — there was something that this roll didn’t taste right and the crab salad didn’t taste fresh. Overall, this was just A-OK. PS. This restaurant is more of a $$$ than a $$. Sushi rolls are $ 15 and up, Thai dishes are $ 18 and up~ most are $ 25.

Such a cute, chic restaurant in Brickell! Love the pink and white interior! Very trendy restaurant to go with friends for food and drinks! I celebrated my birthday here and all my guests loved it! The location, the service, food, drinks and ambience are all a plus here! Highly recommend to try this place out! :)

I’ve only ever ordered takeout from Bonding. I always get Red Curry or Pineapple Fried Rice. I have to say that the portions they give are pretty great and the food is delicious! It’s a tad expensive but can’t ask for too much in Miami. Overall, delicious and their delivery service is always on time.

Sushi/Thai/Japanese restaurant Bonding is Bond Trisransi’s foray into the Brickell market. And since I’ve remembered Bond’s Mr. Yum very well and kindly when it first opened, I was happy to see that he is doing well and is able to set up another restaurant. But I’ve noticed that his other restaurant seems to suffer on Unilocal as he turns to focus on this one more. Not sure what is going on, but I hope he’s careful enough to not let it turn into another Sushi Maki. The food is not authentic, but it’s light, fun, and tasty. You can say it’s Miami’s twist on what sushi is usually perceived to be in other cities. The place is still clean, casual, and modern. Bond’s presence is always to be seen(just look for the tall faux hawk), and his hospitality, at least to me, is second to none. It’s not cheap, and especially now that it’s located in Brickell. Pricier than when Mr. Yum when it first started out by maybe around $ 3, but still affordable enough to entice a continual flow of the Brickell crowd. But really, considering all things, it’s pretty reasonable. Some things have changed over the years as Bond transitioned and let his restaurant mature into the Miami market. No longer is the crab/tuna ochi(with crab/tuna and guacamole) on a fried wonton chip in the menu, but it has been replaced by the CUBAOCHOTUNA(fitting since this came into my radar in Mr. Yum’s Calle Ocho location). Cuba Ocho Tuna comes with fresh tuna, sushi rice, avocado guacamole, eel sauce, and wonton chip. The SUSHIROLLS have gotten more creative, if not in ingredients, then by name and presentation. You won’t find the commonplace rolls here anymore, such as the dragon roll, but instead you’ll find the dragon ball roll(completely different set of ingredients) — but these rolls are still tasty and can compete with the other popular sushi restaurants in Miami. Again, these rolls are not the best, but they’re satisfying. Also any FRIEDRICE has always been great, at both Mr. Yum and also here in Bonding. They’re some of the better ones that I’ve had in Miami, and I wouldn’t skip over them even though it’s not really Japanese nor Thai. It’s pricey for what it is though, but it won’t disappoint. I’ve also had Thai food, and I thought them to be good, but they’re not as creative. So really, this spot is good for those who may not be wanting something strictly Thai or strictly Japanese. Good job, Bond — and keep up the good work.

I have ordered here a few times and in between wasn’t satisfied but then decided to order again today. It came in 40 minutes and was piping hot and fresh. Green curry– excellent very tasty with a nice touch with the eggplant Drunken noodle– very flavorful Popcorn Shrimp– was awesome because they put the sauces on the side didnt get soggy Gyoza– tasty Pineapple fried rice– always a good entrée given the large shrimp. Definitely am going to start ordering here again.

This place is AMAAAAAAZING! Not only is this food excellent but the atmosphere Mr. Bond provides is so much fun! My friends and I started with the tiradito, spicy tuna salad, and gold trio and later moved on to the pad thai and a spicy tuna roll. Every single thing we ordered was so damn delicious. When you bit into the food you could immediately taste all the effort that went into the flavors. But my favorite part? Their homemade passion fruit sake. OMG!!! I was trying to be careful bc I couldn’t stop drinking it! No, seriously. I ordered like four bottles. And if you’re lucky enough Bond will be there that day passing around sake bombs! Will definitely be coming back and trying everything off the menu!

YUM! Hands down our new spot in our hood! I went to Bonding with my girls and we had such an awesome time. The food is amazing! Some of the must haves are the Pad Thai, Bag of Gold & Tiradito — trust me. And the best part … ready … Passion fruit sake. You’re welcome. The owner, Bond is such an awesome guy. He hung out and drank sake bombs with us! Very cool dude. Check this place out!

The good… I went for my birthday and had 16 friends with me. The food was great as expected except that some dishes came out in 3minutes and others took 20 minutes. I understand that we were a big group but it would have been a bit better to try to serve the dishes somewhat together. Everyone enjoyed their meal I bought a bunch of appetizers for the table and they were good, but small. I also ordered a nice malbec. The bad… Shortly before my wine glass was dry, the waiter asked if I wanted another. I said yes that I did, so he brought another one shortly. While placing it on the table, he gladly announced that the wine was«on the house»…meaning a gift. I thanked him, of course. However, when the bill came, he charged me for 2 glasses of wine. When I confronted him about it afterwards, he said«oooooh» and kind of cowered like someone caught in a lie. He told me «yea, sorry it is already on the bill…» So I pushed him again, «so why did you offer me the second glass if you then charged it? I can pay for it, but I do not agree that you offered it to me and then you are charging me for it.» He did not have a good answer; and he did not apologize, nor offer to remove it from the bill. After much awkwardness, finally the manager came by and I explained the situation. He offered to rerun the bill without the second glass of wine. It was shame that this mishap occurred, because the evening was nice otherwise.

The décor is cute. The owner is always there and a character. The food is on point. What’s not to love. It is pricey but that’s what happens when you live in Miami and especially in one of the more pricey spots of Miami. My favorite dishes have to be the lobster roll and the seafood salad… The lobster roll is fried goodness covered and spicy mayo all in one role. If I could I would eat this every day and be a happy camper. The seafood salad is also amazing… Don’t think it is healthy though. It is an arrangement of fried seafood on a bed of spinach, if I remember correctly. Yeah, it is definitely not healthy but so worth it. There pineapple fried rice is also delicious and worth trying come here with a group of people, the rolls are big enough to share and it is a very fun environment. I tend to come here for girls night out, we always have a great time. There is hardly any street parking in this area but they do have a parking lot located in the back. To make things easier though I would just walk here if you live in the area or take an Über.

I dined last nite at Bonding. I didn’t try the Thai food which I should have, apparently. My opinion of the food I tried — was that it was just ok. Lacking major flavor. I will say though that the food was very fresh which is why they get the 3 stars. This is what I had: — tiradito(all citrus flavor — not good) — cigar shrimp rolls(this was perfect) — Gyoza fried(eh — I’ve had better) — Mylender roll(this was ok) I will go back and try the Thai food next time so I could update my review.

Bond, the owner, has a wonderful establishment. The food was delectable and the service was on point. The servers knew exactly when to clear our plates and utensils. The owner joined our table and made small talk. The experience there was priceless. Parking is $ 10.00.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! Definitely some of the best Thai in Miami! The experience is tons of fun also. A few of my favorite dishes are pineapple fried rice, pad Thai, and their pad see ew. For an appetizer their pockets of gold and quite tasty. They have some fun and delicious saki drinks also. Not to mention, the owner is pretty bad ass and has cool hair!

I had been meaning to try Bonding for a while and finally convinced the husband to go. It was on a slow weekend night. There was only one more table besides us probably because of the construction site surrounding the restaurant. We decide to order the Duck Buns as a starter and were immediately cut off by the waitress saying they were out of buns. Ok so we go for the safe choice, Popcorn Shrimp. Once the dish arrives, the portion looks generous and the plating is nice. Unfortunately the taste was SO disappointing. The batter tasted like only plain mayo. I felt like trying the Drunken Noodle and once again was told that they were out of Rice Noodles. Mind you, it was a Saturday night at like 9pm. weird. At this point we were considering leaving after such a rough start. We ended up ordering the Crispy Duck Salad with a Thai dressing and the Dynamite Cupcake with baked seafood. Fortunately, both were really good! The portions were good enough to share and they both made up for the mediocre Popcorn Shrimp we ordered before. The service started out well but then when it came to dessert it was suddenly non existent. We ordered the Mango Sticky Rice and we waited at least 20 minutes for it to come out. Something so simple shouldn’t take that long especially with a nearly empty dining room.

Pad see ew here is the best. The service is great, very fast and efficient. Sometimes the staff comps drinks when we come for dinner :-) Prices are on the high end for Thai food, but it is delicious.
