Located smack dab east of the center of Brickell is a fabulous little man-made island known as Brickell key. Apart from some little shops, lots of condos and the delicious dining options of the Mandarin Oriental, it boasts a gorgeous view of the city. Plus, it has a lovely path for jogging, and makes a great place to stroll with your child or pet. There is a little grassy area to the South side of the island that makes for nice picnics, a little playground area for kids, and benches throughout the little circle trail if you just want to sit and admire the view. Since Brickell Key is surrounded by water, you u sally get a really nice breeze. If you don’t live nearby though and want to come visit, parking may be a bit tricky, so I’d recommend try to find something on the mainland if you don’t want to splurge for valet.

Brickell Key is a small, circular, man-made island just off the mainland. It’s also one of the best places for a solo stroll to clear your thoughts, hit the pavement for a run, or just grab a bench and enjoy a conversation all with a million dollar view of the surrounding areas and neighborhoods. This is one of my favorite places in Miami because it’s never crowded, there is no parking to deal with, it’s just a long and winding road with a water view. But sometimes that’s all you need.
