Well, this is a new one for me. First let me say I do enjoy the food here. The service is average for Miami but I think we know we can’t be too picky about that. I recently ate here and when I received the bill I noticed that I was charged an extra dollar per glass of wine. I let my waitress know and she informed me that the pricing was correct so I had her grab a menu to double check. She came back 5 minutes later after speaking with her manager, who by the way didn’t have the gall to come speak to me him or herself, and showed me on the other side of the menu where it stated that prices were subject to change. Wow. Are you that lazy or cheap to not just update your laminated menu?! And you couldn’t simply take two dollars off the price since you stated it incorrectly? Maybe they should price everything on the menu ‘mkt price’ from now on.

First time here, good attentive service with a smile. Ample menu with a French flare, try the Spanish Omelet and the Waffles… AWESOME!

The service was slow and terrible, I ordered the chorizo and potato omelette, wasn’t an omelette it was more like a quiche… They brought it out COLD! Yuck. Also ordered the soup and sandwich(tomato basil & salmon sandwich) soup was very watery and bland, salmon wasn’t fresh and didn’t taste too good. Can’t say I wasn’t loving their bread assortment basket, that was delicious. Their homemade jelly is good but too watery!

LOVELOVELOVE this little gem of a place! Think New York Deli meets Diner and births a French bakery/café. The staff is warm and friendly, the food fresh and absolutely delicious. We came for Sunday brunch and indulged(very appropriate word) in the quiche Lorraine, homemade bread basket with homemade jam, café au lait bowl(yes, bowl), and fresh squeezed apple, orange and pear juice! Pure decadence! Oh and we couldn’t resist the homemade merengue to go for later! Calories don’t count on Sunday! Ambience is very relaxed, not fancy and no bells and whistles but the food speaks for itself! Will most definitely be coming back!

Amazing place, I really enjoyed my lunch here. Parking might seem a bit challenging, let me start saying that, but inquire for a reserved lot and just give a couple of dollars to the gentleman on the entrance on your way out. It is just half block from the deli. Service was not superb, but they were humble, simple people. And they will try to accommodate your requests. We wee five, and ordered all different things, Panini and salads and even pastries, everything was seriously good, great flavor, clean presentation and excellent portion. This is not a place for a fancy outing or date, but for friends and family is a most if you happen to be in the area.

I love this little hidden gem. The bread is amaze and I have never had a bad panini. I usually get the Brie Chicken with the salad and that awesome sauce dressing(homemade) and pay extra for the chips since I’m a glutton at heart. Although the parking can be difficult and frustrating(especially if you’re «hangry»), I hold this area dear to my heart because I am an alumni of Archbishop Curley ’04 and the progress of the community is heartwarming! One of my fave Sunday Funday brunch spots!

Not sure why people give this play such high ratings. The service is a ZERO. The staff were disengaged, and uninterested providing any level of service. The food matched the service. I ordered a chorizo and potato omelet and a side of sausage. The omelet was not a traditional omelet but came out like quiche. If I wanted quiche I would have ordered quiche. The sausage was sad. The server brought it out late, in a bowl and dropped it on the table and walked away. The sausage looked like it had been nuked to death. The entire experience was pitiful. Needless to say, I will not step foot in this place again and I recommend others avoid the place as well.

My first time in the deli. I’ve been to the bistro and had a great experience. In is however, it loses the organization when there are bigger crowds coming in. The bread is so good! Loved it! The serving was sort of quick and the people were very attentive. At the end the messed up on the change… twice! Really I mean! Come on! My only suggestion. Is why don’t use less plastic? We got the jelly in a plastic to go container and the butter in the individual wrap. Maybe it could be to be more efficient but I feel it is unnecessary. It adds up more trash, which those are not recyclable. That was my only feedback and also they need to get a calculator or something… I mean… messing the change twice…

The food here is meh. Nothing special. I was going to order an omelette and I asked if the eggs could be cooked soft and was told that no changes can be made to the omelettes because they’re already pre-made…like sitting in the back already waiting. Disgusting. I got coffee and a croissant instead and was underwhelmed.

The Napoleon was really good as well the strong espresso. The Chocolate Duchess was disappointing made with really poor quality chocolate. I will definitely come back because the atmosphere is very chill and i am sure ill find something else on the menu thats worth coming back for.

My favorite place to hang out, relaxed atmosphere. Even the service is relaxed, no hurry but It participate to the no stress ambiance. Have the quiche and a salad, keep room for the dessert!!! My personal favorite is the swiss apple tart. BVD, I’m your biggest fan!

Horrible service, horrible food. Do not recommend never will return to this place We went for Sunday Brunch All waitress need training and a bit of grooming! The Manager was not aware of the overall bad service. The food was wrong. Not what we order yet 30 mins late. The breakfast awful, the tortilla was microwaved!!! The bread from the croissant sandwich in a «French» place looked was bought in Costco. The floor, windows looks filthy!!! I dont even want to think how is the kitchen inside. They charge a «service charge» in addition to the taxes & later disclose«the tip is NOT included». I DONOTRECOMMEND this place.

The pastries, baguettes, and food in general is five star. Everything is fresh and delicious. It is a little over priced for what it is. We went last Sunday morning and the service in this place was pretty brutal. The food comes out slowly and it took forever just to get change back from our waitress. We ordered some pastries to go and the waitress was so lost because she packaged them, and then couldn’t find them, all while she was trying to get me change as well. I will only come here to grab stuff to go, but never eat in. The restaurant has the feel of a dingy old diner as well.

To begin the place itself is not very inviting. I personally hated the table cloths I felt as if I were in a cafeteria that was set up in 1989 and never updated their décor. However, it was clean. I had the Buena vista corque-Monsieur sandwich. To begin, it had too much bread and the quality wasn’t very good. I could’ve made a better sandwich at home. I also had a veggie juice, but i think it’s pretty hard to mess that up, it was exactly what I expected a veggie juice. I also a Strawberry Napoleon, once again this definitely did not meet my expectations. I was quite disappointed. The service was fine I was helped as soon as I entered and checked on periodically.

On balance, I found Buena Vista Deli a poor choice. I had a croque monsieur and a greek salad. The greek salad was marginally better than average. A good amount of feta, appropriate amount of dressing, and good lettuce. Croque monsieur was very bad. Way too much bread. Multiple slices of bread. The ham tasted«lunch meat» style cheap. The cheese tasted like swiss, I thought. There was no bechamel sauce — none. Obviously this is a key ingredient. But there was none. So this was basically a toasted ham and cheese sandwich with extra layers of bread. Not good. Other aspects of the visit were subpar. The restaurant was extremely hot. Service was below average.

It was Sunday and I had my exceptionally cool and intelligent brother and sister in law to entertain with a simple yet stylish breakfast. Enter: Buena Vista. I have been to BV before, but it was so many years ago it hardly counts. Escargot my car go not very fast at that point. It was good and we were the only ones there. My how times change! BV is hopping these days, and with good reason. Prices are reasonable and the food is good. The service is adequate with typical minor Miami annoyances like too long to get the check and food arriving in waves. The ambiance is superior. I really hit a home run on this one with my family. We were all so impressed with the quaint outdoor patio and talented French jazz band. I do, unfortunately have some disappointment to report in the food and beverage arena. Mimosas were mostly OJ, which I expect at bottomless but not when $ 8 a pop. And I ordered eggs old fashioned style, in which eggs only come«over easy.» Perhaps it was a trainee in the kitchen, but my eggs were over hard. The yolks were overcooked to the point of turning 50 shades of gray. My husband’s steak(he reported) was underseasoned, which shouldn’t happen at a $ 19 price point. On the plus side, the smoked salmon was divine and the accompanying mixed greens were dressed with a deliciously tart vinaigrette. Bottom line: worth a visit for the cool factor on a Sunday morning but not a food-centered staple I’m in any rush to return to.

The paninis are really good, ESPECIALLY for $ 9, you can’t beat it. Glimpsing at what all my friends were eating, all their dishes looked great too. The reason this doesn’t get 4 stars is the lack of atmosphere. It was so nice out and we sat outside, but there was something lacking. The service was slow and it was absolutely dead. There wasn’t any energy in the restaurant. I’ll have to come back during brunch to see if it’s different when it’s more crowded.

This really is a gem. It is a relatively small place that packs a lot. It’s the kind of place you bring your out-of-town friends to show them that Miami has a lot to offer other than just latin food. I come here for the quiche. If you love eggs as much as I do and enjoy egg based dishes, you’ll love their quiches. They’re moist, cheesy, delicious and are the best I’ve had around Miami. If I were a glutenous cretin, which i can be, I would order all of their quiches just for me. By the way, their croissant is fantastic. Nice crunchy flakey outside with a soft pillowy inside. It’s great for picking up the leftover pieces of quiche. What’s even more amazing about this place is the price. A lot of the items, if not all of them, are under $ 10. You can have yourself a smörgåsbord here and not be broke. Parking can be an issue but hey it’s part of the adventure in eating here. They do have a lot and if it’s packed you’ll have to drive down the road to find a spot. It’s got an authentic french feel to it. The owner and waiters are french. The inside décor gives you a home-like feeling. Like i said, it’s a pretty little gem.

well where can you shop for baguette, croissants, pain au chocolat, pâté de foie, trippes a la mode de caen, duck confit, pâté en croute, cornichons, PIssaladiere, Paris Brest, chouquettes and drink an Erdinger beer, really!!! I know there is no other place like this in Miami. And let s not forget the Madeleine, the frangipanier, the only thing I really miss is a flan, but the french one, not even a flan aux pruneaux just a simple flan, maybe one day. I love that place, guys give it a try, I know those guys are French but then again, nobody is perfect!!!
