A beautiful unpretentious gallery with frequent updates on the newest installations and paintings.

I really was not impressed when I entered this gallery and why would I be? There was like no art! I don’t really consider a section of a wall covered with a bunch of normal printed CVS pictures or random people art… It looked like someone passed around a disposable camera at a party, developed the film at CVS and pasted them on the wall in a square?!? There were two other pieces. I barely considered this an art gallery. However, it was packed… due to the fact that the gallery had a stand offering free drinks inside!

The Yay! is for the complimentary Mezcal shots, but ask me in the morning just how Yay! I feel. Butter is a small gallery in Wynwood, but it packed in the peeps for the Jipsy opening tonight. All of the usual suspects in the neighborhood were there, but most ended up outside due to the small space.

Like Buttah Baby! Butter Gallery is a regular stop during Second Saturday gallery nights for me. It’s intimate space is that cool loft space where you can check out art from graffiti to modern Chinese. There’s usually some free spirits to free yours, and the dripping«butter» painted on the outside wall is always a fun sight. Tonight, then, was a pleasant bonus to the regular fiunkiness, as Jipsy had the opening of her photo exhibit chronicling Miami nightlife and helping us recover fuzzy memories of evenings and venues gone by. Mezcal shots were the libation of choice, and the intimate space provided the perfect conversatiom starter. It was good bumping into a couple of familiar faces from the scene!
