Like most everyone else, I found myself here to celebrate a friend’s birthday.(They give you a $ 25 voucher on the day of your birthday). First off, it IS a casino so, yes, expect all the goodies that come along with that(cigarette smoke, gaming machines, etc). That said, we’ve been coming here on and off for YEARS… back when they had pool tables and before the hotel was built. The piano player, Nicki, is total sweetheart who’s been playing here over 20 years. He always recognizes us and plays all our favorites. His presence really gives the place a classier feel in the midst of the slightly outdated décor. Food may not be out of this world but always fresh and flavorful. Portions are large and they have a wide variety of choices not on your typical menus(duck, alligator, frog legs, etc) The conch fritters are some of the best I’ve ever tasted and we always get it as an appetizer. Also, there is no where else I know of in Miami where you can get steak and lobster dinner for just 10 bucks including salad and small dessert. Again, the lobster is not premium but, for the price, it is flavorful and juicy, not rubbery and tough like some places. Throughout our years coming here, service is always average to excellent all depends on who’s on staff. Overall, I would recommend this place for a mini Vegas like piano bar experience especially if you don’t have any plans on your actual birthdate and want take advantage of the free $ 25 food voucher.

The only reason I find myself here is because it’s someone’s birthday and they are getting a $ 25 voucher for their meal. It’s in the middle of the gambling machines floor, so yes, you will leave with your clothes soaking up the cigarette smoke in the air. Don’t order a daiquiri here, it’s pure syrup. The margarita is fair game, and their special Gator Juice will knock you off your feet. Yes, they have $ 9.95 steak and lobster, chicken cordon bleu, pasta, seafood, a porterhouse steak, grilled Palomilla steak, grilled shrimp, linguini seafood delight, calamari. The grilled mushroom appetizer is good. The garden burger is fine, but it comes with way too much potato salad. On the plus side, if you want a full dinner at midnight, Café Hammock is open 24-hours, so you can always cash in for that $ 25 voucher. Side note: The piano player is such a sweetheart and has been playing here for years, so give him a little clap here and there. All in all, they have some good eats, and some mediocre ones. But the prices are pretty decent.

The air is full of cancer(cigarette smoke) and the service is terrible but for $ 10, you get steak and lobster. You make the call.

The food is not bad at all and the prices are fair. Service is fairly non-existent. I went with my mom for her birthday. For your birthday, you get $ 25 off YOUR bill. She had veal Marsala, salad, a glass of wine and a tiramisu for free. Not bad. And like I said, the food was good. The REALLY bad is that the dining area sits smack dab on the casino floor. So you are inhaling all the toxic fumes while you eat.

I thought they offered steak and eggs here. They don’t. But prices are excellent so is the food. One very lingering problem all the smoke you are engulfed by it. I suggest strongly suggest they address the situation if they would like my continued business.

Atmosphere sucks but where else can you get a 3 course lobster and steak dinner for $ 9.99? What makes it even better is when it’s your birthday and you get a free meal! They have alligator, frog legs, or even a filet mignon with 2(yes 2) lobster tails meal!!! It’s tablecloth service on a budget. If you’re in the area and/or want to gamble a bit. this is a great place located in the older part of the casino.
