Right off the Dolphin Expressway(836) and LeJeune Road you’ll find a rustic looking sports bar where you will be delighted by the fresh seafood and comprehensive menu of appetizers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and a wide array of beer, wine and spirits. The service was top-notch by Judith, and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. We tried a variety of delicacies, including a crab dip salad with mariquitas(thin-sliced plantain chips), fish and chips, seafood tapas, red snapper and finished the night with key lime and flan. We thought for sure we’d be returning until we got the bill, that is! Whoa!!! I cannot in all consciousness, recommend this place– it would be like eating at Boston Market, but paying Bone Fish Grill prices. We got SERVED! :(

I hadn’t been to Catch of the Day in many years. When I found myself in the area I thought it would be a pretty good place to quell my seafood craving. The only parking, they have in their lot is $ 3 valet parking, but they offer additional free parking next store. We went with the free parking. It was crowded but we managed to snag a table inside. There was a good mix of locals and tourists. They offer happy hour everyday from 4 – 7 pm, and there are additional specials if you sit at the bar. I ordered a $ 6 mango mojito which was pretty delicious! As an appetizer we ordered the fish dip. The fish dip was served with plantain chips, carrots and celery sticks… I would been much happier with JUST plantain chips. The celery and carrots just didn’t really jive with the fish dip. Regardless, the fish dip was good and tasted fresh. Nothing unique. Now for the main meal… I was pretty indecisive(as I usually am) but decided on the«Admiral’s Scampi Feast» which is grilled shrimp, scallops and a Mahi fillet in homemade scampi sauce. For sides I picked yellow rice and fried yuca. Of the entire entrée the only thing I enjoyed was the Mahi. The scallops were too chewy and the scampi sauce was not flavorful. The yellow rice was alright but the fried yuca bites were subpar. I tend to take home any and all left overs, but this is one of the very few times where I did not. I did notice that at the table next to me a group of ladies was seriously enjoying the oysters Rockefeller… If I found myself here again I would definitely order those. But nothing left me wanting to return. I would give this place 3.5 stars because despite the food the service was excellent!

Came to this place looking for some seafood. I ordered the snow crab legs. It was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is on the corner of a busy street. It was great to sit outside and eat dinner. The only reason why I did not give this restaurant 5 stars is because there were cats walking around while we ate. I would come here again only because the food and service was great.

Well, I went and I ate because I was hungry and based on reviews near the hotel, there really wasn’t anywhere else to go, especially since I was in a rush. I decided 3 stars, can’t be that bad if I just get some seafood… I can handle bland seafood as long as it’s fresh. I ordered the appetizer with shrimp, snow crab legs, raw oysters and an order of conch fritters. Fritters were okay. Shrimp was bland. Snow crab was good. The oysters had a strange metallic taste and I probably shouldn’t have eaten them, but I figured I’d just drown them with a squirt of lemon and some cocktail sauce and they’d be just fine. I was hungry and in a rush and so I shoved everything in my mouth like a big ding dong! Annnd 4 hours later, everything was coming out of my mouth again. I knew those oysters were weird and I painfully paid for it all night long. Food poisoning… death by bad oysters. DANG. You get one sad star for that god awful experience.

Great place near the airport for seafood and drinks. Happy hour is good as well. Apparently, gets very busy after 9pm.

Service was good Food was Not. Had the fried platter And it was totally overlooked. As well as pricey. I don’t mind paying for good food but this was not good. Quality has really gone down since I was here 2 years ago:(

Great portions and good fish. They should put less pepper on their bloody marys but overall their drinks are good. Prices are good they have a great selection. staff is very friendly and nice, they let you know a lot about what you are eating and i think that’s cool. Outside seating is good with Tvs if you are a sports fan. Parking is very small, that’s a con. I will check out this place again, I’ll keep you posted.

Staying at the Fairfield near the airport, and was struggling to find a place for a decent meal. Many of the reviews nearly scared me off from this place, but I am glad we went. Seating and getting a server took longer than usual. It appears that they don’t really have a system for what server covers what tables, causing confusion and some tables to slip through the cracks. Once we got a server, our service was excellent. We enjoyed fried calamari(they were out of oysters) and my wife had a shrimp wrap while I enjoyed crab legs. Food was excellent, however the ambiance was very loud, both inside due to the loud music and outside due to the traffic on the very busy road. Several times, we were unable to hear the server over the music, which was seemingly abruptly changed every few minutes. Parking appeared to be valet only. Wouldn’t say it was my favorite seafood restaurant I have ever been to, but given the area and convenient proximity to the hotel, it was not a bad meal.

Worst service ever had ! Our waitress only took our drink and food order. Never and ever came back at all. Asked for napkins from other server, ordered deserts from the hostess. Even the end of the meal, we need to wait for her to drop a tap. The bill was $ 101.48, to avoid the waiting time again, we rather pay cash. She just picked up the money and NOT even say ANYWORDS(NOTHANKYOUATALLATALL) how poor of the service ? I asked the hostess«Who is the manager today ?» Not giving me an answer . To manager: my server was one of the twins that worked there, I really suggest you should hire someone else.

Outdoor dining, massive projector on the outdoor deck, $ 12 bucket of 5 bottles ALLDAY, EVERYDAY. Waitstaff is very knowledgeable on market pricing for the fish. I’ve included a picture of the absurd mountain of fried seafood you can buy for under $ 23. Oh, and it’s insanely delish. Two criticisms: While they have a parking lot, they cone off EVERYSINGLESPACE so you have to Valet. You could also park around the block on street parking, but it seems like an obnoxious move for a casual greasy spoon kind of place to make the lot valet only. When I was ready to leave I asked for a box and my server insisted on putting the food in a box when I requested she let me do it — in her stubbornness, she spilled a sauce I did not like on half my food and left with only half of what I had left to eat. Of course, she apologized profusely, but that didn’t change the fact that I was leaving with less food. 3 stars — if it weren’t for the poor wait-staff and the valet, it would be a 4.

This place was great! From the outside it may look like a regular seafood spot which might be promising. We’ve driven by it numerous times but never made it in. When we finally did, wow! We asked to be seated outside, since the inside area was a bit crowded. The waiter came really fast brought out water and took our drink orders. The menu is extensive, has a lot of verity and the daily special apparently does change everyday. We all ended up ordering the fried yellowtail and for appetizer got the cod fish fritters. The appetizer could’ve been better, they were a little on the small side and the taste was a little doubting. But when the yellowtail arrived it took the show! Huge fish, cooked to perfection. They also do a live music show which was great. The performers were very talented and in tune with what they were singing. The only thing is that the TVs were playing these funny videos as they were singing instead of maybe a video of the performed song. This was a little distracting and the choice was indeed questionable. Aside from that great atmosphere, great food and overall awesome experience

Peel and Eat Shrimp, Mahi Mahi wrap, shrimp wrap and a bucket of beer– awesome! A beautiful day to hang out and watch life pass us by. Our wraps were tasty, the peel and eat shrimp was extremely fresh– and our server Paola came back for every beer in our bucket to give us an icy glass on a warm day! We loved the coconut flan and would come back for the service alone! Thanks Poala

This is my go to place for casual seafood. I always start with the fish dip appetizer. It comes with plantain chips, celery and carrot sticks. I recommend eating the dip with soda crackers for a more flavorful taste. The mahi sandwich is also great although it seems that recently the portions have gotten smaller while the price increased. Never the less it is very tasty. I can’t forget mention the happy hour drink special. $ 1.35 for domestic mugs. Not bad.

Service has been terrible on all three of my visits. Food is marginal at best. Only reason we go there is because it is right next door to the hotel we stay at. Otherwise I wouldn’t go there again. Have tried several different meals. The best one was well below average and was the Ribs and Shrimp. The ribs were boiled and tasteless although they were tender. Three measly shrimp came with the ribs. *Poor Service *Tasteless food *High Priced for the meals you get. And those are the highlights.

El lugar está casi siempre lleno, pero tiene una terraza donde el servicio no esta mal. El pescado es muy fresco y las sopas son deliciosas. Buena cerveza. Un sitio informal donde comer a gusto.
