Sesame chicken, special fried rice were very good, however egg roll was not to my liking. Will keep trying other dishes.

The food was sub-par, like any typical Chinese take out, except for the fact my order barely had any meat in it. The fried wontons were made of some kind of mystery meat. Also, I was overcharged; they charged more then the prices listed on the menu, without explanation and would not lower the price to the correct price when questioned.

Recently moved to the area, didn’t really like the food when I first ordered– sweet and sour chicken that was mostly oily breading with very little chicken. A disappointment, sure, but last night we were desperate and I got orange chicken. At 3:45am I was vomiting into my bathtub. Needless to say I will not be venturing back to the garden any time soon…

Hadn’t had China Garden in 5 years due to the last couple of orders & an eat in dinner being totally disappointing! The food was horrible! There are 2 other places in the Three Lakes area that have been a big let down as well. So decided to give China Garden another try and so glad I did. The food was delicious!!! We had pan fried dumplings, General Tso’s chicken and egg rolls. Enjoyed every bit of if and will be deleting the other 2 restaurants from my phone!

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in South Miami. Best flavor, consistent, reliable and friendly. Very clean! You can see the kitchen and as a former restauranteur, they are very clean! Camille

I like this place. It really isn’t so bad. The prices are average, delivery is quick, and the employees are friendly. It really is your typical take-out Chinese, so normally I’d give 3 stars BUT I give this place 4 because they do not charge extra for switching out the pork fried rice and egg roll for vegetarian options in the lunch/dinner specials. The other closest Chinese restaurant in the area does, and this is huge since I do not eat meat.

If you live in the area, this is probably the best Chinese restaurant for takeout and delivery. We’ve been customers from this restaurant for a long time — since they actually opened. Over the past few years, it changed ownership and the food is not as good as it used to be and is a bit more pricey. However, it still remains the best in the neighborhood. My favorite dishes: 1. Fried Chicken Wings — They’re usually pretty good with the fryer. Whenever we order pizza at home, we make sure to get the wings from here. They’re crispy and really tasty! 2. General Tso Chicken — It’s sweet and spicy and the chicken is fried perfectly. Before they used to budge and make it with the white meat if you asked them, but now it’s simply the usual dark meat. It still tastes pretty darn good! I usually ask for it extra spicy. 3. Steamed Dumplings — I just really love dumplings. They give you plenty for the price! 4. Sweet Iced Tea — lemony, sweet, and delicious. They’re kept in the white styrofoam cups in the fridge. They also have a really cool Family Special with soup, three main dishes, and fried rice. If you come Monday — Saturday they also have a really cool Lunch Special from 12pm-3:30pm with a dish, fried rice, and an egg roll/crab rangoon/iced tea. The service is mostly geared towards delivery and takeout, so it may not be stellar in serving you. They don’t really do dine-in, however they have some tables and chairs for you to sit if you would rather eat at the restaurant.

Food is very good. Service is questionable. I asked if I may dine in, cashier or hostes she keep saying«take out » .I said no please like to dine in. Charged me immediately and then served me with take out plates no fork or water.

It’s a shame that this place is so unwilling to please customers. I ordered food for my boss and myself while we stayed late at work. Egg foo young for me, honey garlic chicken for him. We asked that the chicken have the sauce on it, and not on the side. They delivered the driest, toughest chicken I have ever ordered. I called back, and was told that they ‘told me not to order the sauce on the chicken’ and ‘we won’t drive to you and bring you sauce because you should have listened to us’…what is that about??? It’s as if they barely put any sauce to spite us. I think it’s childish. As is whomever they have answering the phone. Even when I called earlier to place an order, she sounded very snobby and had an attitude with me. I ignored it since I was starving and this place had good reviews. News flash, it doesn’t matter how good your food is if your staff are difficult to work with and bratty. Mekong Chinese Restaurant will get our business from now on. Save yourself the headache, order elsewhere!

Love this place. Been a family favorite since i was born, maybe even before lol My moms a good friend of the owner and staff. No bias opinion needed in this review because the food speaks for itself. Pros– THEBEST ham fried rice ive ever had. Flavor and seasoning is on point. Usuallyfried rice i try at other places are bland with lots of veggies. Friendly staff. Nice and quite… maybe too quite lol all in all, food is great. I always order wonton/eggs soup to start, wings, egg fu yung, chicken lo mein, broccoli and beef, and ham fried rice Cons– none i guess Stop by

Very clean spot. The fact that I can see the kitchen and how clean it is from the front counter is a plus. Lol. Food was very delicious. Not bland. Will recommend. Oh… no lunch specials on Sunday.

Despite the reviews, I tried them out but unfortunately not impressed. Did not like the fried rice not because of them using yellow rice but lacked flavor and the ingredients very small pieces. The crab rangoon not crunchy and the egg rolls where OK.

A little more expensive than I hoped but the food and service is good & well worth the dollars spent. The food is delicious every time I order from here and the owners are nice. Delivery could be faster than 40 minutes; I live less than a mile away and only order enough for two. Lol. All in all, great Chinese restaurant to order from.

Really! This is not authentic Chinese food. They use yellow rice or brown rice to make fried rice, it was horrible, I can’t believe all the good reviews. Honey chicken had a hint of curry taste, was not impressed, won’t be back. I am Chinese and I know good Chinese food and this isn’t it.

I would describe this as a fairly standard Chinese takeout spot. That is to say that it is tasty stuff, but there is nothing that really distinguishes it from most other places. The general tso’s was nice and crispy, but I prefer mine spicier. The boneless spare ribs had a decent flavor, but were a little on the dry side. Good egg rolls and dumplings. Like I said, tasty, but nothing amazingly spectacular.

I live less than ½ mile from this place and had never tried it! Boy was I missing out. I ordered for the first time last night and have declared this one of the best Chinese restaurants around. The food is fresh and flavorful and very affordable! I ordered crab rangoon, curried shrimp, and Mongolian beef! Everything was tasty… the curried shrimp exceptional! I can’t wait to order again!
