Not as good as you think it may get be. I came to this placing hoping to find a cool and new hole in the wall but this place was a disappointment.

YUM!!! I had the chicken Cuban bowl and this is not a chain restaurant type of flavor! Super authentic. Don’t forget to ask for the pastry things… to DIE for

For any college student or anyone low on money or if you generally just want great, quick food: THISISTHEPLACEFORYOU! I always cringe at the thought of Cuban food being fast food, but Cuban guys does such an amazing job. Prices are suuuuper reasonable, there is a good amount of food options & their bowls are pretty easy to customize to your liking. If you are feening for some pastelitos, Cuban guys has bakery options(most types of pastelitos, juices, etc.). It is in a small shopping center that has a good amount of parking. My favorite about this place is that there is both inside and outside seating. On a cooler Miami day, when you’re not dying the death of a thousand sweats, it’s so nice to sit outside in their little patio, with a vaca frita bowl, a ham croqueta & passion fruit juice.

First time here and I had the double Frita burger with regular fries. It was very delicious! Don’t forget to check in and get a free fountain drink with your meal. The only con was that I was hoping they had Oreo churros which I saw advertised on their website but this location didn’t seem to have it.

This is literally the only true Cuban version of a fast food chain in Miami, complete with disgusting bathrooms and employees who obviously hate their jobs. It’s almost like the owners took five guys name and were like, «let’s Cubanize it!» That being said… the food is excellent. The Cubans sandwiches are always perfect and the yukka fries are the best in town. They give good prices already with deals Monday-Wednesday. They have outdoor seating and a walking window on the one that I frequently attend on sunset. They are always playing pop music. Although I have only ever heard Pitbull. I wish they wouldn’t In summary best real local fast food chain.

My wife and I had been wanting to try this place since moving to the area over a year ago. Unfortunately, Cuban Guys wound up being a big letdown. We arrived to find dirty tables and two female employees who looked like they didn’t want to be there. My wife ordered a steak sandwich, but the lady who took our order messed up by charging us for two such sandwiches rather than one. As for my meal, I ordered a Healthy Bowl. They were out of brown rice and mariquitas, and they put cuts of platanitos fritos in my bowl, which, to my knowledge, shouldn’t have been in there. The only dressing they had available for my bowl was Balsamic, which I don’t like all that much. Thus, my meal ended up being far less healthful than I’d anticipated. They were also out of Diet Coke. It’s as if management hatched a plan to get me to consume as many calories as possible. Much to my annoyance, the other female employee started sweeping the floor and came awfully close to me while I was still eating. Their only saving grace was the fact that the food, however mediocre, was ready quickly. Still, it came at the expense of lackluster service. I would rather wait a little longer for my food if it means I’ll be getting outstanding food and service. To be frank, I’ve had better experiences at myriad Cuban restaurants in Miami, from Sergio’s and La Casita to La Carreta. We will not be returning, I’m sorry to say, and won’t be recommending this place to anyone we know.

I was a bit hungry after work and decided to stop in and give this place a try. I ordered the Mariquitas with the garlic sauce and a Frita with cheese. The Mariquitas(fried thin slices of plantain) were delicious! I enjoyed the garlic sauce that accompanied them. The Frita was good. I thought it was a bit too much bread per bite for my liking. The flavor of the patty was very good. The chorizo doesn’t overpower the meat and the little shoestring fries gave it a good crunch.

Great food and prompt service. Clean and comfortable. Their menu is varied and I’ve gone many times trying different items, all have been very good.

I have been here several times and it never disappoints! I have had their media noche and their fritas before. And both were amazing. I went again a couple of days ago and decided to order the Cuban Guys Sandwich which states that it is their award winning sandwich. And let me tell you… ITWASAMAZING. I made it deluxe and it was delicious! It is my new favorite sandwich from there and I will definitely be going again to get it!

First and last time here for sure. Out of the fifty seven THOUSAND Cuban places in Miami, this one is definitely on the lower end of quality. It’s like two Cuban guys saw the success of American fast food places and were like«omg… We could be rich.» As with anything, going for a faster cheaper option, results in lower quality. This is certainly no exception. Ordered: Healthy Cuban bowl with pulled pork(I know… Not really healthy. It’s ok hahaha) Cheap. $ 5.99, get what you paid for. A ton of rice and beans, a handful of pork and a small side of tasteless tomatoes and lettuce all in a bowl. Beans were well seasoned, rice cooked nicely. Pork, eh. Very fatty and not something that I would ever order again. Frita. Places nowadays think that if they brand their logo on the bun then they’re cool… And trendy… And legit. Sorry cuban guys… Not even the pound of patitas you throw in each sandwich can mask the DRYYYYYY meat you use. DRY. Flavorless. That’s all. Good place for people on a budget or in a hurry… Kind of like Taco Bell. But ew, who would do that. SOMANYOTHERCUBANPLACESGUYS! steer clear from this one.

After leaving work late, this was the only place that had decent Unilocal reviews and open in the area. I was delighted to find that Cuban Guys has a special on Monday’s where they offer $ 3.00 pan con bistec(steak sandwich) and for 50 cents more you can make it deluxe(mayo, lettuce, tomato). Not only that, but when you check in, you get a free soda! Sold! Although, I have driven by on several occasions I was never tempted to try it. It looks like just another cuban food place. I have to say you get your money’s worth. The french fries were tasty. The palomilla steak in the sandwich was nicely seasoned and the little crunchy onions were a nice touch. They offer different specials on weekdays, so check them out!

Very excited to have«healthier» options now! Tried my first healthy bowl with pork and it was really flavorful! The portion is pretty big too for under 500 calories! Must try!

Random find at 11:00pm, we were not disappointed! The food was delicious and came out really quick. We had the frita! It was very good and filling. They had a little outdoor sitting area that was nice however full of ducks begging for food… Overall a 4star experience.

Cuban Guys is the fast food version of cuban food and it’s done very damn well. The place itself looks like a knockoff 50’s diner with Cuban American flag colors running rampant, but so long as the food is good, nobody gives a damn. Pretty small little joint that offers up quick versions of some Cuban meals with sandwiches being the primary focus. I got the Original Cuban Sandwich. You know how it is. Roasted Pork with Ham between two buttered slices of cuban bread with pickles, cheese, and mustard. Slap that baby onto a sandwich press and we’re good to go. The sandwiches here are surprisingly really good despite how quick they whip it up for you. The bread was so damn good and the the meat was good enough. They put a nice little portion where you can stuff it down your gullet shamelessly. I really liked Cuban Guys because it’s quick, easy, cheap, and good. The food isn’t meant to be really be analyzed and questioned cause it’s a great quick lunch for those in the area. Parking can be a pain sometimes, but turnaround is quick so a spot should open up relatively quick. If you’re looking for a sit down place with the family, drive to La Carreta or some other place. This is for when you’re running from the cops, but still need that Cuban sandwich fix.

First time here. On a Saturday afternoon I expected it to be packed but it wasn’t. Maybe due to memorial weekend and people going away for the weekend. It was roomy and it looked uncluttered however the tables were dirty. Both my husband and I ordered the vaca frita bowls, my son ordered the chicken bowl and my youngest a chicken sandwich for kids. The food didn’t take long to receive. We ordered to go so it was fast. The bowls can definitely use more flavor, the yuca fritters can use for seasoning specially a little salt. I ordered the Churros which were extremely greasy but it’s expected as they are fried after all but they could place them on paper or something to soak up some of the oil. Both my husband and eldest son thought their bowls we’re ok but nothing to brag about. The girl who took our order looked like she really didn’t want to be there, of course when so asked her a question she answered politely but I think she could have been just a little bit more friendly.

UPDATE after a few more visits: The Vaca Frita & The Chicken are the standouts for the main dishes so that’s what I recommend. I wish the papitas had more flavor, might be better if they switched over to potato sticks instead. The Flan is excellent! Original Review: It’s tough to stand out when you serve cuban food in Miami so I wanted to give this place a while to prove itself before I gave it a shot. I had passed by it a few times, saw their ads in the flyer & read a few reviews. That was enough to hit that bookmark button. I made sure to have an empty stomach so I could try a few different things. I chose a rainy night for my first visit which I figured would thin out the crowds a bit as I have heard it gets packed. Upon walking in the first thing that caught my attention was the vibrant colors & artwork. I really enjoyed the modern décor on the walls. The second thing I instantly noted was it was clean. There were no dirty tables, the kitchen looked organized & the staff was ready to serve. The menu is on the wall in a digital format & it’s pretty well presented. We opted for a vaca frita sandwich, a chicken sandwich, & some yuca fries. After ordering I noticed there was a frequent visitor reward program. It wasn’t mentioned to me so that ball was dropped but no big deal I grabbed a card & registered it. You basically get 1 point per visit & after certain point levels you get rewards. I also noticed my purchase generated a coupon for a future visit. Offerings rewards is a nice way to show you appreciate your regulars. After getting our food I snapped a few pics & dug in. With the first bite I immediately was impressed with the flavor of my vaca frita. So many places either overcook it to where it’s dried out or saturate it in so much grease you have to put paper towels on it to make it edible. Thankfully, neither was the case here. The chicken sandwich was great, the yuca fries had the perfect texture & the sauces served complimented all the food. The level of customer service shown by the management was top notch! Enrique, you were an excellent host. When I asked him if he recommended any sauce in particular to go with the vaca he told me exactly how to set it off. When I was debating taking home some papa rellena to go he handed me one to try. They were great & I took home a 3pc along with two different types of flan. Overall, it was a great meal & fast casual experience. Would I go again? 100% Yes!

A friend of mine kept posting this unbelievable food porn on another site, and every single pic would make me drool massively. He would repeatedly induce a case of food envy in me. And every time I checked to see where he was, he was at Cuban Guys. So when I drove by the location on Sunset Dr., I just had to make a stop. Arriving, this place reminded me of Palacio de los Jugos. There were a lot of people sitting outside, drinking coladitas and smoking cigarettes. Being later in the day, no office workers were here, and everyone was of very distinctive blue collar characteristics. And there were a lot of seniors too. I wondered if the big sign with the *$ 2 frita night* had anything to do with this. Once inside, the space was sparse. I don’t know why they didn’t make better use of the space, or why they chose the style of furniture they did, but Cuban Guys looks very plain, much like a very old fast food joint. The staff is very attentive, and maybe a bit too much. While I was trying to pick something off the menu(displayed in a large flat screen on the wall), one of the cashiers kept talking to me. Sensing that I just wanted to look at the menu, she finally called me over, just a few steps away, and handed me a printed menu, and told me that«it was easier to see the menu on print». I thanked her. But she didn’t stop talking. More people came in, and I got distracted. But not her. She didn’t flinch and kept chewing my ear. More people came in, and she politely told everyone to wait while she helped me. The whole thing was nonsense. Even though I could use the flattery, I had to pause our brief romance, and I told the waiting customers to order. And while other people ordered, I was able to make up my mind. After spending considerable time with this very nice young lady, I waited for my food to be made. Through the open kitchen I could see the staff running around like mad chickens. They were all very animated, but all of them were extremely focused on making the food right, and getting the orders right. For example, when my frita came out, the guy assembling the order double checked it and sent it back because they didn’t put the extra condiments I had requested(lettuce, tomato, mayo). Nice catch and good job. With my order ready, I moved outside to ravage my treasure. First things first: the fritas are really good. The frita patties are well balanced, with a nice ratio of chorizo to beef, and that creates a patty that is not acidic, like most of the fritas at other places. Cuban Guys makes a nice, juicy, soft patty, and when you bite into it, you don’t think«too much chorizo»(at least I sometimes do, at other places). The patties are basically flavored burgers. The other components of the frita(bread, lettuce, tomato, string fries) were not so good though. I am not sure if the ratio bread/patty was off, but my first bite was almost tasteless. Lots of bread, no sauce, lettuce, tomato, a tiny bit of the patty, and very under seasoned string fries. I grabbed some of the fries that had fallen out and yes, they were not seasoned well. This almost killed my frita experience. However, once I got to the middle of the sandwich, things changed. The center is moist, flavorful and tasty. I almost felt that I should have cut the sandwich in half and started eating from the center on out, and leave all the extra bread for the ducks. I will remember to do this next time, I shall. I also ordered the Cuban Guy Sandwich, the steak topped with ham and cheese, listed as an award winner sandwich. Now, that thing was magic. It was a bit heavy on some of the seasonings and the sauce, but it gelled perfectly and it was good from beginning to end. If it wasn’t for this sandwich, this place was a two stars for me. I also got a batido de mamey. It was delicious. And I also got a tamal. The tamal was not so great, but I was able to eat it. To close with a bang, I got a flan. I picked the cappuccino flan, a coffee and milk rendition of the frothy drink from Italy, and not to be mistaken with the Cuban pastry that is a conical golden yellow cake drenched in heavy syrup, and also called a cappuccino. The flan was a bit above average, but very creamy. Other types of flan offered here are the regular flan, guava and cheese, and dulce de leche flan. For my bottom line, I would like to say that if every sandwich had the quality and taste as the Cuban Guy Sandwich, there would be no stopping the Cuban Guy. Dale! Yes, and the fritas are good and tasty, but you just have to play a bit with it and the seasonings. Other than that, nice place to stop by and have a frita.
