Review from February of 2013– I was actually really excited to walk into this place. The atmosphere is great. BUT, the service was bad, and honestly I kept trying to give them a chance. I couldnt tell if it was the waitress that kept screwing up or the kitchen. We had about 6 people with us and almost every order came out wrong. Who messes up a salad? Seriously! I have been a waitress, so I get that with larger groups the food may take a bit longer because you want everything to come out at the same time. ONE we didnt get the apps at all. We had 2 people cancel them because the main course arrived first. and TWO, the food that was supposed to be hot was still frozen in the middle! Complete disappointment!

This place should close down. We come here on Sunday night for the Heat game, the place is empty. I seat down I got the menu. The menu consisted on tapas. I try to order the items and 90% of the items that I want were not available. I call the manager and the first thinks he say, I’m sorry we where very busy on Thursday for the Heat game I finish everything. Today is Sunday and you still not have 90% of the items that I ordered. Really he had an attitude with me. He spoke Spanish with me, why I’m not Spanish. Really I hope you can get better because the closing day is coming soon. Good luck.

A nice place in the heart of downtown Miami. One of my favorite places to eat. Their tapas, like skirt steaks, chicken empanadas and others are delicious. Their house wine are also great. For desert I suggest their dulce leche desert is to «die for». Great place overall UPDATE: Sadly as of July 1st2014 this restaurant has closed its doors.

Nice looking place with good not amazing food but great service! A little pricey. They charge per soda. The things that were not great chicken skewers(veggies were great but chicken was plain) & the miniature fried crab meatballs. The average things were shrimp, mussels & caesar salad. The sun dried tomatoes in olive oil were good but cold just not what we expected. The skirt steak, ceviche, & French fries were really good. Service was on point but being the only ones in the restaurant the food took a while to come out. It’s a great place to watch a game, have some drinks, & a few tapas… just need to figure our which ones.

I usually don’t review restaurants but I had to start with this place. The food is mediocre, yet our waiter was nice. The place should’ve closed a loooong time ago I think. The menu of set tapas is nothing out if this world. Would not recommend even if you’re craving the«tapas» experience. Go elsewhere or once you try it you can say«I told you so» ;)

We had a gilt city voucher and They did not honor it. Our voucher said up to 12 tapas. We had to argue with the manager to pick from their a la carte menu instead of their preselect menu. Once we ordered food it was ok but kind of cold. Wait staff was nice. However at the end of the meal we only received $ 95 off instead of 12 tapas free which our voucher gave us. We will never go back. By the way it is completely empty on a Saturday night. They should be going out of their way to make their customers happy instead of arguing with them and under cutting them. There are far better options for food in Miami.

I little disappointed of this place. Service was too slow. Our meal took a long time to be ready and when we finally got it, it was cold and the flavor was not something to proud of. For the prices and the area you will definitely expect much better.

Very nice place to have a few drinks with friends or your significant other. Very good food and our server David was very attentive and friendly. I will be coming back and recommending it to my friends!

Great little place for Tapas and being across the street from the American Airlines Arena, perfect walking distance for a bite before or after a game/concert.etc.

Party of 9, food took forever. Cozy place, great wine selection. Enpanadas, blood sausage and provoleta were really good. Terrible services, at least from the server. Bussers were attentive. I’ll give it another try cause of the food

I have been several times, some dishes i loved, some were not on a love level, but I can honestly say i enjoy this place very much. You get that urban feel and enjoy the city lights and views. Outdoor seating. Nice staff. Good food. They recently have a tapas menu and was great for a group sharing food. I will continue to bring my out of town guests here and give them a real Miami treat.

The food was excellent. The service was sub-par. Our waiter vanished, for long periods of time. We were waiting for the check for quite a while and he was nowhere to be found. Other waiters at other tables seemed to be much more responsive. We never even got water. Gratuity was included though, so that explains the lack of effort. Even though he wasn’t very attentive, our waiter was friendly, the prices were fair and the food was delicious. I’d suggest this place, but only if you aren’t in a rush.

Not only is staff always attentive, I absolutely love their executive lunch special. For $ 15 + gratuity which is automatically added, you get an app + entrée. The selections change daily which keeps things interesting. Portions are not too shabby at all for lunch. I’ve had their Tuna Steak, Potato Soup, and Grilled Chicken Sandwich. Delicious. Thankfully, this place is great because it’s really all my coworkers and I have in the area. We love coming here. :)

NPS = 2 Where do I begin. I mean… geez. Who do these people think they are. If I learned anything in b-school, I learned this: «the reason for a business is not to make profit. The reason for a business is to provide value.» This place provides ABSOLUTELYNOVALUE. Let me explain. I came here for a night out with my girlfriend with a coupon certificate(one of those you buy for half the price). This was a $ 60 certificate I bought for $ 30. You would think, «Half off? Sounds like an awesome deal!» No. The steak I ordered on the menu cost $ 30. It was NOT a $ 30 steak. It was over-cooked and you can tell the steak was preserved with blood(instead of salt as a really good steak should be). I felt I was getting ripped off even at half-off with the certificate. My girlfriend’s steak was over-cooked as well and needed salt. There was not any salt to be found at the table and we had to wait for the server to see us for us to get salt. The wine menu… there was not a wine menu. The waiter just spat out a bunch of different wines and when we ordered a bottle, he brought out the wrong wine. When they brought out the bread, only 3 measly pieces of bread. Everything was RIDICULOUSLY over-priced for what the place is. The place wants to act very fancy, but really does not provide any VALUE nor deliver on the FANCINESS it is trying to position its brand with. I would skip this one.

Slow Thursday night, service was ok, but the food was bad. Thinest skirt steak ever, looked like Mexican Arrachera. Truffle mash potatoes was sour. Too much hype about this place. Its only a good location a s nice décor.

This is a very good place to get some dinner before or after a game. The décor is Polo basically, which is something Argentina is well known for. No horses though! I got the Mahi with a beet salad that was excellent. Saw the Heat destroy the Bulls and had a great evening. Prices are pretty typical for a downtown restaurant.

We came here on a Saturday night with reservations for 8PM, but probably did not need them as the place was not very full. It was kind of early, but I would think that when the Heat plays it is busier considering it is right across from AAA. The $ 5 valet right in front of the building is the way to go considering street parking is kind of far. The interior of the place is pretty nice, we were seated in a very comfortable booth in the back. The food here is spot on. Since this is an Argentine place, I had to order the the entrana. The steak was pretty large and cooked perfectly medium rare. The red chimichurri was also delicious. I had it with a sweet potato pure’ which was also very good. We also had the home-made gnocchi which was also very good. The bits of meat in the ragu sauce added some serious flavor to an already good dish. For dessert we had the dulce de leche crepes and on the advice of the server added a scoop of vanilla ice cream. WOW. this dessert is absolutely spectacular, and I am not a dessert fan. Doma would probably easily earn a 5 star review for such great food if it were not for some communication problems with the kitchen. We originally ordered the provoleta as an appetizer, but it never came. It turns out we didn’t need it considering how much food we had, and they bought us a glass of wine to make up for it. That would have been fine, but during dessert they also failed to bring the scoop of vanilla ice cream although the server had recommended it. We had to wait a while to flag down the waiter so he could grab it for us. Can’t wait to come back, maybe before going to see the Heat as the food here is great and very reasonably priced.

I don’t normally like to dole out bad reviews, but I have to admit that I have had a much better dining experience elsewhere. To be fair, I’ll give them a 2nd try because I think I was there on an off night for them. It was slow when we got there, and we ate fairly early. It seemed like they weren’t ready to be open yet, and were operating at half staff. It was difficult to get someone to help us when we needed something. The waiter forgot my wine after he served our food and was no where to be found for about 10 minutes. We finally had to stop the first staffer we saw to come help us. There was a small child unattended playing in the booth behind me. So my booth seat was shifting up and down, back and forth because this kid was kicking it. It appeared that he belonged to one of the staffers. It was funny at first, but then it didn’t stop. So then it got annoying. And to top it off, my meal was luke warm! Like I said, not the best experience. I do give props to new businesses that open up in the emerging downtown area, so I appreciate the new ones when I see them. So that said, I’m going to give them one more try and see what happens. It just won’t be on a Monday night.

So after having made dinner the night before, I wanted to go out and indulge in some meaty goodness(story of my life I tell you). Unfortunately, not everyone was feeling Cuban food that night. I literally Unilocaled for«rib eye» near south beach. Most places had a $$$ and we definitely weren’t doing that, at least not tonight. Doma Polo displayed a $$ with 4 stars. We drove downtown, parked our car under a skechylike bridge/monorail type of structure. And came up to Doma Polo. They appeared to have some boujie media event with a bunch of semi beautiful people, camera lights flashing, microphones, the whole bit. Shit. We literally were in our casual threads. I was in a black tank and denim. As a matter of fact, I may have even been in my chucks or chanklas(sandals). We approached the hostess and surprisngly they sat us to dine either way and even offered us some of the appetizers that they were parading around. The interior is very nice, wine rack of a wall, black and dark wood, although the booth seating reminded me of a saloon lol. They primarily served argentinian dishes which I was more than OK with. The complimentary bread was rock solid. You could actually hurt someone with it. We ordered empanadas to start, both chicken and beef. Wasn’t too impressed with the chicken, but I did enjoy the beef one. We essentially ordered two rib eyes(Ojo de Bife a la Parrilla) with mashed potatoes, the roasted half chicken(Pollo Asado) and a side of truffle mashed potatoes. The Rib eyes were cooked well, we requested medium rare and rare. The roasted chicken had crispy skin and was juicy all throughout. Wasn’t too impressed with the truffle mash but it sure tasted like truffles. For the overall ambiance, shwanky feel, notably good food and the nominal pricing, I’d say Doma Polo was a stellar choice for the night.

I can not thank you enough for opening at 900. The other two restaurants in our building ‘Hoops & Miss Yip” are both disasters. And you Doma are just the opposite. Our concierge bragged to us about how rave reviews from residents were coming in and he really liked it as well. Came the other night, greeted by a very friendly hostess who took us to a very large booth. I really liked the décor, dark, sultry, black huge leather booths, nice bar off to the left of the entrance, nice outside patio with plenty tables, and my favorite the wine wall. Literally floor to ceiling, very pretty. Server greeted us quickly, he was very attentive. He seemed to rush us a bit at first but thankfully got better when he realized we were not in a hurry. The menu was nice having many appetizers to choose from, meats, fish, soups, salads, and pasta dishes. The chef Pablo came over to say hello, great guy who was super friendly. We started with an appetizer that we had never tried before. I can not even remember how to spell it but it is on the picture I posted. It was a very unique rolled up meat with capers that was very tasty. Then the chef surprised us with a complimentary meat, olives, and artichoke platter with delicious bread. I ate every bit it was so good. We chose a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, Argentina called 7 Lago’s, paired beautifully with my steak. Rich full bodied, dark fruits, firm long lasting finish. I believe the cost was $ 48. Decent selection of wines representing different regions. I ordered a churrasco steak cooked medium rare. I reiterated medium rare to our server because I wanted to make sure it was cooked properly. Hubby ordered gnocchi. Our food all came out in such perfect timing as I had some time to sit and relax enjoying my wine. My steak was so delicious. It was moist, flavorful and cooked to perfection. I was not liking their chimichurri sauce at all, it was basically cut up tomatoes and onions. Please get better chimichurri it would have made my steak a five star for sure. Hunny enjoyed his gnocchi very much. So thankful it exceeded my expectations. Welcome to the building and look forward to many great dinners. Service good, food very good, décor awesome, prices average for area and concept. $$$ Check this new hot place out, worth it!
