Eduardo Ubieta, D.M.D

So the start of my Unilocal journey actually began with a review of this dentistry a few years back. They’ve since changed their name and I had forgotten it was the same place. I had a terrible first experience but pretty much didn’t remember on my way to this appointment. Anyway, as indicated from my rating, they’ve vastly improved.
I tried to make an appointment about a month beforehand and was told there were no spots, but that I would be placed on the cancellation list. Sure enough, I did receive a spot just a few days beforehand. This was important because I live in New York now and only had a few days home to get the errands and such done. I arrived ten minutes early and filled out paperwork, and was seen by the hygienist a few minutes after my appointment time. She was quick with the cleaning and tried to adjust for pain level. (Previously, I had been in horrible pain from a haphazard cleaning, and this one was better although still a bit painful. I think it’s unavoidable at the dentist).
I was overall quite pleased with the timeliness of the appointment as I had to be somewhere within 2 hours. I saw Dr. Ubieta after my cleaning and he was very apologetic about the service I received from my first review (I had forgotten about it but apparently he remembered). The x rays also went smoothly although I was unable to remove all of my jewelry.
Finally, I received the paperwork for potential wisdom teeth removal — very reasonable price point. I’ll probably come back to get them removed here if I have any time in Miami over the next year.
All in all, good experience here. Not sure if I received special treatment since it was obvious that my negative review was remembered by the staff. Gums were bleeding a bit afterwards but I may just have sensitive gums. Location is not ideal for most people but perhaps the prices based on your insurance may sway you.

I have avoided dentists for almost a decade. I hate being preached to and made to feel worse than I already do. That has been my experience with dentists until Dr. Ubieta. His office staff is warm and friendly and amazing. He returns calls personally. He takes his time to explain and is very knowledgeable. His front desk girl, Roxy, is awesome! She answers any question and goes above and beyond to help you figure out insurance and aftercare. Incredible dental practice. I highly recommend.

I am not a fan of dentists in any way shape or form. So I’m actually quite surprised I can bring myself to give a dentist five stars.
They are just so genuinely kind and the welcoming atmosphere makes sitting in the torture chamber that much better.
Dr Ubieta and his team are possibly the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. They have the most down to earth vibe and know how to make you feel less anxious (if you’re like me). I’ve always bounced around from dentist to dentist but I’m so happy to have finally found them.
They get booked solid for weeks ahead of time so do pencil in early. I really cannot say enough nice things about them!
