Ok Italian restaurant in Kendall. Located in a small strip mall where Scullys is. The décor doesn’t seem to fit a Italian restaurant or café. It’s a whole lot of frames and paintings side by side two rows deep. Looks more like a art gallery or framing store than a Italian restaurant. We started with some calamari, beef carpaccio, and a mozzarella burrata with sliced tomato and balsamic reduction sauce. The calamari was chewy and tough and the beef carpaccio and burrata were ok. Then we had the cod with risotto, linguine with white clam sauce, and a veal scallapini. The cod and linguine were ok but the veal was tough and returned for another dish. They have a decent wine list and bar. The service and staff was good.

This place has a great atmosphere. The menu is very small, you will probably order of the specials which range from a stuffed pork chop to filet minion and a variety of fish dishes. I had the stuffed pork-chop($ 30) it was very good. Don’t get scared about the specials because they are normally priced, there isn’t any $ 70 dish surprises. I give my review 4 stars because the service was slow, food did come at a responsible pace. Overall happy with this place and I will return. Buon appetito!

This place is very nice in the inside but not very much so on the outside. The food was good but very overpriced. They do have the best risotto I have ever had but that’s about it. Based on quantity and quality I give it a three star, there are other hidden gems around that area that are better.

I didn’t expect to find this very interesting small restaurant in a neighborhood strip mall. The art décor is absolutely fabulous. The food is out of this world. Great service.

this place is truly a hidden gem. My husband and I had dinner here on Saturday night and we were not expecting the food to be as good as it was. this restaurant is located in a shopping center, right next to Scully’s. The décor is warm and intimate with tons of paintings hung on almost every inch of the walls(I am not exaggerating). It is definitely a unique taste. As an appetizer, we had the beef Carpaccio which was DELICIOUS!!! That was the first sign of a great start. We also ordered the house wines(pinot noir & malbec) which were tasty and priced well. For the main dish, I ordered the lamb which was accompanied by mash potatoes and veggies. The portions are not big but just right and the quality of the food was great. You could really taste it in the food. My lamb had a semi-sweet glaze that was to die for. Lamb is my favorite dish and this is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. My husband ordered the veal and he was also very pleased with his dish. For dessert, I had the classic tiramisu and he had the guava pastry with ice cream. My dessert was delicious but his was very unique and tasted amazing! That Saturday I got called into work and my previous plans got spoiled. This gem made up for it as we left with full bellies and happy hearts :)

Amazing food, and service. Wished the menu had more options. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it! Great for big parties!

Nosotros elegimos pescados y estaba delicioso. Los postres increible. La tsrta de chocolate un pecado

Loved the food. Wait for the daily specials, they have a lot of options, more than the main menu. Excellent wines and great ambience.

2.5 Not a bad place, but wasn’t too blown away by this place either. The menu is extremely small. The waiter rattled off more specials that seemed like were longer than the regular menu. Kind of odd. I thought the food was of average to good quality. Prices I thought were high for the area. The bread was just ok(not homemade) and I tried a drink that was weak. Not sure I’d recommend or return.

If you’re under the age of 40, have any culinary or service industry experience, please read my honest review. Miami is an amazing place for culinary arts, there are so many fantastic restaurants to choose from, this place is not one of them. I am new to the Kendall area, transitioning from my apartment lifestyle in Midtown and I had hoped to find a suburb neighborhood gem in Caffe Di Notte. We called ahead and thank goodness we had, it was packed with couples, none of which were under 45. Older demographics prefer less flavorful food and this restaurant has catered perfectly to their crowd. The server brought us two glasses of house chianti and we started with the seared scallops for an app. Served with a strawberry and mango sauce, all three scallops were overcooked and not very fresh. Stringy and rubbery are two adjectives you don’t ever want with seafood. Main dishes were brought our very quickly, $ 23 lobster ravioli and the $ 30 rack of lamb. I wanted to include the pricing because when you start to go above the $ 20 threshold on dishes, you should expect to be impressed. The raviolis themselves were very thick and chewy. Ravioli pasta should have a texture similar to that of a soft cotton bed sheet wrapping the stuffing, this was more like a winter comforter. The lamb was cooked well but there was NOFLAVOR. Served with over steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes and a bland mint jelly purée, I couldn’t recall one single bite of this dish. Dessert was somewhat redeeming, coconut cheesecake was very lovely. Hate to sound like snob but for these prices, I will drive the extra 20 minutes to other parts of town for good Italian. TL;DR: Older crowd, decent décor and attentive service. No flavor and poor execution on all dishes, should expect more for these prices!!!

Did the executive lunch and was so impressed! Great and quick service… I’m always in a hurry at lunchtime. The bread was warm and served with a cream cheese mixed with olive, sesame and Parmesan. The salad was great to start. It was super cold and the dressing was made with sesame, which I love! My entrée was the fish special. It was a white fish stuffed with crab meat and topped with lobster bisque sauce. The fish was served over a bed of champagne risotto. The risotto was creamy and delicious! To end, I had the coconut flan. They could add more coconut flavor to the flan, but it was still good. Not gelatinous at all. Would love to come back!

I have been here twice for the Executive Lunch. The food is quite good and prices are reasonable. The service is friendly and courteous. I did not like their salad. It appeared wilted, and did not like the house dressing either. This is an area that needs improvement.

This is a little piece of heaven on sunset drive. Nicely tucked away from the main streamers. I absolutely Love this place with a capital L. These type of restaurants are very hard to find in Miami. The place is alive with art everywhere, and the service is next to no other and of course the food is just fabulously delicious. Everything is worth a try and I have never been slightly disappointed. Don’t let the plaza it’s sitting in fool you!

If you’re looking for exceptional service and an unforgettable meal, look no further. Tucked into the corner of a strip mall on Sunset you would never even know such a gem exists in this neck of the woods. I have been coming here for about 12 years and I have NEVER once had a bad or even mediocre meal. I have had my sons Baptism lunch here and my daughters first communion and they were phenomenal! Everyone raved about it. Their menu has been the same for a long time but they have daily specials which the waiters go over with a lot of detail. I am a big fan of their set menu though. You can find the classics like linguine a la vongole(excellent) lamb and filet mignon. I like to think of this food as Italian with a hint of Latin flavor. They pair many of the dishes with guava, chocolate and Demi glacé sauces. The Latin flair can be seen in the use of plantain chips. They have a great wine selection as well. Service is always top notch! The waiters have been there for ever which is a good sign. They are not over worked and seem to enjoy their job as they out so much pride into pleasing the clients. Try it! You will never regret it!

I love this restaurant, but it there are good points and bad. First, this is Italian, with a Cuban twist; realize that before you go. Wine is priced well with generous servings, but the food is expensive. In Miami, it seems most places are, but while you’d expect to pay that at Abbracci in the Gables, you wouldn’t expect it in a crappy strip mall. Inside, the restaurant is classy, cozy and darling, with lots of art, all for sale. The hostess is a bit clueless and rude. The bussers are very nice and very attentive. Most of the waiters are usually a bit slow and/or hard to understand(I’ll explain why this is important later), but all are very eager to please with custom requests. I’ve never been to a restaurant more willing to make something exactly as you want it. THEMENU: The PRINTED menu is very limited; ok to look, but don’t bother committing to anything in there. There are as many specials as there are menu items and the waiters will whip through all 30 of them in 3 minutes. Try and pay attention because the specials are totally where it’s at, if you can hear(restaurant is very loud when even half full), understand(accent + speed = huh?), and remember it all. Don’t stop him while he’s reciting, because if he loses the momentum, he’ll forget some; just try and follow as best you can. At which point you start him over again with«What was that first one? And the next?» It’s ridiculous that they aren’t written down on a daily menu, or even written on a board some place for all to clearly see. I’m guessing it’s because they don’t want to list prices, and most people don’t want to ask. The food is amazing, and it’s great having such a delicious place close to home, without the pretentiousness of the Gables or the beach. I know I can take the pickiest of people there and they will ALWAYS find something they love. If you hear parts you love and parts you don’t, tell the waiter and they’ll fix it for you. Do you remember something you once had as a special there? Ask and they’ll try and make it for you again. Everyone I’ve taken gives me the stink eye when they see the mall(I passed it for years because of the outside), but everyone raves about the place being one of their favorite places when they leave. EVERYONE. That’s gotta say something about the place, right? Take the good with the bad, and realize that the food is totally worth it. That being said, don’t go. This hidden gem is getting more crowded all the time(my friends taking their friends, taking their friends) and I don’t want to have to start waiting for a table. Maybe you can get take-out. Thanks!

We had just finished sitting and our bread was already being served. They don’t provide you with butter or oil, but a cream cheese and black olive paste, which is delicious. The service was impeccable and friendly. To start, We tried the shrimp salad with a Asian chili glaze with mango and cucumber over a bed of arugula. It typically comes with two shrimp, but since we were three, they provided a 3rd and never charged us! I ordered the veal chop medium rare. It was perfectly cooked, and complimented with a blue cheese mushroom sauce. My mother ordered the pork chop stuffed with cantimpalo, and dressed in an orange honey glaze. Mm mmm mmm! My sister ordered the mushroom parmigan risotto with gulf shrimp. That was heavenly! My Godson while only five eats like a 50 year old man. He specifically requested the half order of pumpkin ravioli, which came in a delicious sage and rosemary cream sauce. All was complimented with a bottle of Viña Mayor Ribera del Duero. can’t go wrong with that wine every!
