Love this place! So far the best pizza in Miami that can come close to my hometown pizza joints in New York! And the Calzones are awesome! I get them with meatballs. Thank you Johny for bringing a little of NY to Miami!!!

Great place and great pizza! The owner is super nice, the place looks clean and recently they expanded the restaurant. It was a great experience when I went there with my boyfriend and they asked for our name and when he said Tony everybody including Johnny starting yelling Tony Tony Tony it was awesome we felt really at home, we felt welcomed. My boyfriend is from New Jersey and he really loved the pizza. I love the place, hopefully in the future the price will go down and we can enjoy this succulent pizza more often.

Way too overrated. Not like authentic ny pizza. Miami’s version of ny pizza. Not the worst not close to the best. In the range of sabarro but worse. It depends on your taste.

This place is REALLY good. The boyfriend and I decided to order online and as soon as I stated I was there to pick up my order and gave them my name, Johnny screamed«Rebecca is here!» And everyone responded, «Hi Rebecca!» The warmth in their hospitality alone made me change my mood and want to dine in! They reheated everything for us without even being asked and the young man at the front assured me to kick back and relax that he would bring us our food. Mini pepperonis are my new favorite thing. I had never had them, nonetheless on a pizza and they were so tasty and crisp yet still chewy. The perfect texture! Small but mighty in flavor! The crust was delicious and tasted like it was freshly made just for me. Their pepperollis(garlic bread with pepperoni) are extremely good! I loved everything overall, but the customer service in itself warrants a 5 star review. I’m happy to have found a good pizza place nearby!

I believe this is the best pizza in Miami! The store has a limited seating, however, most of the time we just pick up our pizza. The owner, Johny, is the coolest guy. He always greets every customer, asks how everybody is doing, and immediately takes orders. All the employees are very friendly as well. It really feels like they are one big family. The atmosphere is perfect. And the food is so delicious! If you are in the neighborhood you should definitely try it. You won’t regret it!

Pizza was tasty. Place is under construction and it wasn’t that clean. Some dust and crumbs from food laying around. Hope they improve on that.

We just moved to Kendall and ordered pizza from here based on the reviews. Unfortunately, the pizza took about an hour to get here, it was cold and not crispy. We also ordered the pepperoni garlic rolls and those were cold too. I wouldn’t order from here again. Overall — disappointed.

Amazing tasting pizza! And they are soooo accommodating! Made me a special slice on the pie with out cheese for my nephew that can’t eat cheese. Funny thing is, I was ordered pizza for pick up to surprise my pregnant sister who wanted to celebrate National Pizza Day(she might have made that up) and when I get to her house with the pizza, she had just ordered from Pizza Johnny’s for delivery!!!

I always order Dominos or a pizza chain because it’s convenient/cheap, but eating Johnny’s made me realize that It’s SO worth it to pay a little extra. Huge slices, fresh sauce, and ingredients GREATQUALITY. They were really nice when I walked in, and also hooked up it with some extra treats! I will be back!

I really wanted to like pizza Johnny. Especially after all the fantastic reviews. I ordered for pick-up since they don’t deliver to my house(south Miami) and called a delivery service(bring 2 me) to pick it up. The order was available in 20 minutes and delivered within 30 minutes. The pizza dos have a NY taste to it, which the reason for the 2 stars. I ordered a half cheese and half margarita pizza. They brought me a half cheese and half tomato pizza. That was disheartening. I really wanted a margarita. We also ordered the garlic rolls and a the chicken cilantro salad. The salad was very good; however, the garlic rolls were drenched in too much garlic oil. I most likely will not order from them again. Sigh.

I discovered this place here on Unilocal, and after reading all the great reviews I decided to try it today for myself. I ordered an extra large cheese pizza and when I arrived to pick it up, I received a warm greeting from Johnny himself. What a nice guy! He made me feel extra welcome, and that genuine kindness is so rare nowadays. The girl at the register was also sweet and genuine. The pizza was delish, nice and thin with a good amount of sauce and cheese. A little pricey, at $ 16, but that seems to be the going price for a quality extra large pie these days. I also tried the cannoli, which was also pretty good, though I am a chocolate fiend so any dessert without chocolate rarely wows me. It’s a small place, not well suited for dining in, but that’s ok with me as we usually get our pizzas to go. I am looking forward to trying some of the other dishes they offer, as it all looks yummy!

Small pizza place but quite interesting and unique. I was in the area since my pregnant friend had some cravings and decided to stop here and have some pizza with the kids. We ordered a large pizza, half cheese half pepperoni and some drinks. The girl that took our order was very nice and so was the gentleman making the pizzas. It was a fun experience as they really interact with the customers. Pizza was done quickly and it was oh so yummy. They even cut the kids’ slices in smaller pieces to make it easier for them to eat. We noticed they have good lunch specials some days of the week. They also have other items on the menu… calzones, sandwiches, wings, salads, wraps and even desserts. Will definitely return when I’m around here.

Fantastic pizza! Loved it, loved it, loved it! We had a large half pepperoni and half cheese. Loved how thin and crispy it was, it was perfect in every way. The staff was friendly with our kids, and anticipated needs(cutting kids pizza into pieces). Can’t say enough great things about the pizza, it was also affordable. The only reason why it’s a 4 stars and not a 5, is because of the location. There is not enough seating(few tables inside and two outside) and place is very small and cramped. I am 7 months pregnant and had a hard time going between the tables to my seat(as did my non pregnant friend). Also, we purchased a soda and a water, and they had no cups. I dislike drinking out of the can — adding cups for customers who request it would be awesome. Honestly though, the pizza was so good, that I wouldn’t mind returning during non peak hours, as I imagine it gets pretty packed during lunch and dinner(we ate around 5 and all seats were taken). The food and warm customer service really won me over —- be back soon!

Good pizza in Kendall and they Deliver. It’s hand tossed thin New York style pizza. Located in the strip mall where Latin House and Sweetness Bakeshop is. The pizza sauce is not to sweet and has the right amount of cheese and toppings of your choosing. You can also place an order using your Unilocal app. I usually have them delivered to my house and it’s usually under an hour and it’s fresh and hot.

Sad to say it, but I do want to update my review because the last handful of times I’ve ordered, I’ve noticed a drastic decrease in quality and taste. The food just seems bland all of a sudden. I’m not sure if it’s because there seems to be less consideration, like the employees don’t make the food the same way Johnny did(?), but something has changed. I will still order from here, but only because it’s still a notch or two above the pizza chains in the area. The chicken wings are really good, but very fatty. I always insist on them being well done/extra crispy, yet it seems like whoever cooks them doesn’t seem to care about the request.

I’d only knock off a star because this spot is so far from me but that would simply be unfair. I ventured to Pizza Johnny’s on a special mission. I was picking up pizzas and garlic rolls to share with some media folk. After all, this spot was number TWELVE on Unilocal’s Top 50 Places to Eat in Miami. It didn’t seem right to leave without trying some first, so I ordered a slice of cheese to sit and enjoy. There are only a few hightop tables inside, as this place clearly thrives on takeout and delivery. No bother though, I grabbed a spot and within minutes, Johnny himself handed me over my piping hot piece of classic cheese pizza. Oh, the smell… It was agony waiting for it to cool down. Thankfully, there’s lots of eye candy on the wall which really transported me to NYC. Eventually, I deemed my slice ready to eat and chowed! Now, I’m no pizza expert but this stuff was GOOD. No frills, thin crust, delicious sauce, tasty dough. Everyone was super friendly and it’s all very decently priced. If you want something on the healthier side, they have an array of salads and sandwiches, but that intoxicating pizza smell can make it hard to stray. I will find an excuse to make it back soon. Until then, I’ll be recommending this place to all my New York friends that complain about the lack of good pizza in Miami. Pro tip: During weekday lunch, it was extremely hard to find parking. This isn’t really a tip, but just be ready to be aggressive and don’t let anyone swoop in on your spot!

The first time I ordered from Pizza Johny’s I was like«OK, it’s good pizza». I wasn’t blown away, this was just ordinary pizza, but it was made right. I didn’t like the garlic rolls, so I wasn’t overly enthusiastic about my pizza experience, unlike many others. But then, as time goes by and the inevitable happens, meaning you crave some pizza, you begin to see the name Pizza Johny’s pop up in your head and shine intermittently like a neon sign, and you know where you must go… Now, I have a list of pizzerias to order from, and another list of pizzerias that I want to try, but for straightforward, traditional, no nonsense pizza, I have to say Pizza Johny’s has become my top option in the area. To begin with, the dough is pretty good. It is well seasoned, thin, not too chewy but pretty resistant, and a bit crunchy on the edge. The sauce is awesome pizza sauce, so delicious if you can taste it. And the toppings are all really good and tasty toppings. For example, the meatballs are really good. All this and the right ratios/balance make a great pizza. I normally pick toppings for my pizza, but of the specialties I like to order the«four meats» specialty. It is a normal meat lovers type pizza. And one day I would like to order the«buffalo chicken» pizza. I am not ordering a pie only for myself, so when I get a quorum, I will get one of those. Heck! I may just order for myself. But the five stars are not just for pizza. Pizza Johny’s also offers calzones that explode with cheese. They have a nice combination of cheeses going on for the calzones, I must say. Also, they have a lot of pasta dinners available. I have tried the chicken francaise(pretty good) and the parmigiana(really good). I would go back for both. And the subs are also pretty good. All of this happens in a tiny space off of Sunset Drive. It is like a slice of Little Italy somewhere, they say New York has a Little Italy… Come to Pizza Johny’s. You won’t be disappointed. The people are super nice, the place looks like an old NY or NJ pizzeria, and there are lots of pictures that tell a nice story of where this pizza has been. Trust me, this is a cool place.

Ok after reading all the great Unilocal reviews I had to try Pizza Johny’s. Now I didn’t start off wife a pizza which I hear is fabulous, that will be on my next visit. Today I tried the meatball sub(on whole wheat), garlic rolls, a lasagna and the traditional spaghetti with meat sauce. Everything was delicious! The service was great. Has to wait a little longer than expected for calling in ahead of time but that’s okay the food made up for the wait time. Only downside is the place is small with VERY limited seating. Not the best if you have kids. Can’t wait to go back for the pizza.

I’ve been wanting to check this place out and I finally got around to it-very happy I did! It’s a small pizza place located in the same shopping center as Latin House and Sweetness Bakery, so don’t miss it! Parking, parking, parking-a mission. We came on a Friday night, so hopefully it’s not always that difficult to find parking because it was super tight and crowded. THEREISNOPARKINGBEHINDTHESHOPPINGCENTER! We thought we got lucky, but you can’t park behind the building. Finally, we just decided to park at McDonald’s. The place is pretty small but you can always just pick-up or get it delivered. The staff was super friendly and made you feel like family. The man taking our order recommended the famous pepperollies,(garlic bread with pepperoni inside) and they were delicious. I will definitely be coming back! I want a pizza everything!
