Great english pub! Our bartender, Eric, is the best! I ordered a greek salad for lunch with blackened chicken. The portion was large & I couldn’t finish it. They have about 20 draft beers on tap! Also they are a sports bar which is greet since I love all sports. Will return for some futbol(soccer) games.

After our site-seeing boat tour docked at Bayside Marketplace, my boyfriend and I wanted to find a local eatery instead of the mass chains in the area. I’m vegan and he’s a omnivore so this place was a perfect fit. We were so pleased to find out that all of the sauces and condiments were made in house. I was especially impressed with the mustard which was super spicy with fresh horseradish. My boyfriend enjoyed the Pig Melt and my Vegan Burger made with a black eyed pea patty was exactly what I was craving. Max, the bartender and Eric, our server, took great care of us. The place was not at all packed on a Friday night which is shocking considering the extensive beer list and reasonable prices.

Elwood’s Gastro Pub is a new favorite pub of mine. A UK themed pub makes for a fantastic evening! I’ve now been here three Tuesday’s in a row. Every 1st and 3rd Tuesday is a FREE comedy night. Stand up comedians try their newest hysterical material. The different beers and combinations of beers accompanied by the laughter inducing material of these comedians is truly a treat. Let’s not forget elwoods fries and other pub grub(can someone say fish n chips!!). Awesome awesome night. In fact so awesome, that I’ve now been here twice for their comedy show! The 2nd and 4th Tuesday are a free trivia night. My girlfriend and her friend actually hosted this night and we all had a great time. Trivia night yields a more team building night for those interested. All in all, Elwoods is great and has easily become my new favorite bar. And I can guarantee next time I’ll even try a day other than Tuesday. Although with free comedy and enticing trivia, who can blame you if you choose a Tuesday night at elwoods too?!

In town for a trip with my boyfriend and we were feeling fish n chips. This place was super cozy and friendly! Beers were $ 5.50 and service was just attentive enough. Food was great too — loved the house made ketchup and spicy mustard. Beer battered cod was really light, crispy, and flaky. Would definitely be regulars if we lived around here :)

The service here was just too cool. Had a concern about my receipt and the bar manager went above and beyond to problem solve for me. He even got the owner into it and they all went above and beyond and sparked great convo. Really personable staff and owners. This place is right near the YVE Hotel where my team is staying and it’s the perfect spot to grab a drink get some solid eats and shoot the breeze.

I would say a lot of the reviews here are fake. I had 2 beers during happy hour and the«best fish and chips in Miami». The happy hour ipa beer was $$ 6.50 each. The fish and chips $ 17.75. $ 33.21 total. The fish was obviously frozen cod fast de-thawed in water due to the texture and they beer battered and fried. The chips where very irregular cut potatoes that where very raw. They where kind of like home fries but only cooked once and beige in color and half raw. It was nearly the worst fish and chips I have had in a very long time. Do not order food here. The bar staff had NOIDEA what beers they had. After looking around I saw the ipa I wanted. During the second pour they reused my original glass. If this was a huge value maybe it would be 3 stars but I would avoid this place at all costs. I should have left when the bar tender at a gastro pub did not know what an IPA was. At least I can advise others to please spend your money at another worthy pub.

I have eaten here three times and have gotten sick all three times. Plus they were closed down by the health department last month! for allot of roaches! You can look it up. Paying $ 9 for an Amstel light is crazy and my dad ordered a Coke for $ 3.50 and they refused to give refills unless we payed for another lol I mean really. That’s all I have to say about that. BEWARE!!!

Fantastic place, a real British pub in the middle of downtown Miami. Very friendly staff and the fish and chips(haddock which took me all the way home to Edinburgh) was out of this world. Homemade chips, ketchup and tartar sauce shows you they are a real gastropub and know their stuff. Draft boddingtons a major plus. Will come back again and again. Well done !!

My wife and I came here for dinner before the Ed Sheeran concert. The place was fairly empty and it looked like it was being reserved for a Hillary Clinton fundraiser(Hillary cardboard cutout). We almost left thinking they were having an event, but we asked and they said they were open for business. I ordered the Sunny Burger and my wife the steak sandwich. Neither of us were wowed by our meals. The service was very lacking. Our server was very nice, but not at all attentive. She messed up my beer order as well as the check. It took forever to get the check and then forever for it to get fixed. I likely would go elsewhere if in the area again.

Unbelievable quality and service!!! Great sports selection, friendly staff(ask for Eric or Vib), food was on point. Their draft selection changes around so there is always something new coming in. If you are visiting Miami, make sure you stop in for lunch! Arsenal Fans: The place to come for the game!

So after a long day of work, hubby and I were looking for a place to watch football which I must say is sadly limited in the downtown/brickell area. We used to be able to drive to Astoria when we lived on the queens/Long Island border and literally there were streets you can walk down with options. That being said I didn’t want to go to Batch as usual so we looked up and I found Elwood’s. When we entered it is a small place, pub like wooden with comfy bar stools, three TVs and a very homely atmosphere. The bartender was very friendly and sweet and offered for us to try the different wines and beer on tap. They had happy hour going on which was $ 5 bites and reduced prices for beer and wine(5 – 8 $) they had a decent wine selection but often did not have the featured wine on the menu. They also do not have a liquor license so they do have a few cocktail like beverages made with abv less than 25%. Since I don’t really care much about sports the most important thing to me is the food. We ordered three appetizers– Garlic cheese fries– fries fried well, not enough garlic or feta and no salt! The garlic was bottled crushed and not fresh garlic. I have to give them credit for making their own condiments that’s impressive. Ketchup and hot sauce had good flavor although hot sauce wasn’t hot. The potato skins– probably 2 halves cut up bacon cheese scallion. Good not great. Missing salt as well and I must tell you I’m a huge potato skin fan. To me this should be perfect. Chicken things– very tender but came out a little soggy and were not spicy. Once again seasoning missing. We decided to head out for dinner because I wasn’t inspired from the appetizers. What I do want to say is id give this place 3 stars for great staff, service, good music selection, cute place for limited beer and drinks but I wouldn’t come out of my way to come here for food.

The food was awesome!!! The service was great … Viviana and Eric really took care of us, just the right attention. Ask for them next time !! Food so I was told this place was known for its fish and chips … Thoughts? SLAMMING !!! Definitely a winner !!! Ahh and dessert get ready … I had the homemade chocolate chip ice cream cookie. You are gonna wait for it but it’s sooooooo worth it. Freshly made here from SCRATCH … Anyways you in the neighborhood want to grab a beer great vibe and some food … Definitely come it will become your local spot. If you say the word(pronunciation — se — lo — sa) To Eric or Viviana you may get them to chuckle ask them about the story !!! Have fun !!

I met up with a friend that I have not seen in 7 years so you get points for being special. We went on a Tuesday night which was trivia, and because the owner was running for political office, the trivia was politically themed. This is where they lose a star. The woman running and having all her staff shove her political agenda in the patron faces is awkward. I didn’t visit the bar for a political fundraiser. I wanted to see my friend from years ago! That said I enjoyed my time there and they have decent beer selection, of course British and European given their set up as a British style pub. The trivia was fun run by a local comedian. We won 2nd place and received women’s t shirts lol. I don’t fit into them but it was funny. I also received a free beer. I ate fish and chips with English peas. It wasn’t the best ever fish and chips but it was very good. I enjoyed it. The fries were great.

At least they had food. We were starving before the concert at Bayfront Park. Expensive and kind of gross feeling. The servers/bartenders were very nice, just not very professional. Place was busy and very slow moving. Got a hamburger that wasn’t very good. I would only go back for happy hour and a special activity like trivia or music. Def would not go back before another concert. Too bad as it’s so close.

Elwood burger was so yummy! Got get that burger because it was really good. The bread was a little to big so I had to take one half off but was still great! Cute place especially to watch a game & have a burger.

We were going to the Ed Sheeran concert(soooo fantastic!) and wanted to be able to park at arena and walk to a nearby restaurant. This was perfect location for that, plus they got us in and out in 40 minutes. It’s a cute small place that has very comfortable feel and played awesome alternative music. Decent menu with decent prices. I ordered steak and cheese sandwich and upgraded to garlic fries for $ 2. The husband got a burger that came with an egg on it(don’t know name) and regular fries. My sandwich was good but not great. I think it was served on a hamburger bun. It did have nice size chunks of steak that were perfectly cooked. Only get the garlic fries if you seriously love garlic. HEAPS of fresh garlic on there. I could only eat half and then we had to buy mints after. The husbands burger was also good not great. But he loved his beer(especially since he got one free for checking in) and he was intrigued by their house mustard which he used. He thinks there was horseradish in it. Our server was nice and helpful, but not efficient. We didn’t see her once from the time she set the plates down till we were done eating. And she got the husbands second beer wrong, as well as our bill. But again, she was nice and apologetic about it all.

I just love this pub! The staff is friendly and service is great. Great place for watching futbol games! Even better if u are and Arsenal fan since the bar is Arsenal supporters. They have a good selection of beers on tap and in the bottle. The ambience is great as well as the décor. The bar stools are most comfortable too. If you are in the downtown area and wanna a pub to stop in, definitely check this place out! They offer brunch on the weekends too!!! Traditional English breakfast and a pint or unlimited mimosas too!

I was pleased with my meal at Elwood’s and think of it «on the better end» of three stars. It’s the kind of place I’d be pleased if someone else suggested, but would probably only return to occasionally if I were picking the restaurant. I had the fish and chips. I liked the fish quite a lot(and I am a difficult person to satisfy with fried fish). It struck the right balance between flavor of the fish and flavor of the fried exterior. And the texture was spot on. The«tartar» sauce was atypical — I am not generally a tarter sauce fan, but enjoyed this sauce quite a lot. The dish is also served with mushy peas, which I enjoyed. Quite good. Now the«chips.» A misnomer perhaps. These were far more«potato wedge» than chip. These are radically different from the more common chips/french fries in the photos on this Unilocal page. I was satisfied with these, but would have preferred a true«fry» more than these wedges. But the ketchup. It turns out that this was house-made. Which ought to be a good sign! Not so, unfortunately. I found the ketchup to be much too sweet. I suppose there might be someone out there who wants his or her ketchup to be sweet as pie, but it’s definitely not me. Good service.

I kept hearing about comedy night at Elwoods for a while and I finally made the trip last Tuesday. For those people who arrive there and end up confused looking for a stage and wondering where the comedy is going to take place, they end up clearing out the tables by the window. So if you arrive for any of their events, a pro tip is to not sit at any of the front tables. Now, the place itself is pretty small, gets crowded quickly, and(from what I could see) is pretty understaffed(or it was on that night). My friend and I ended up taking a seat at a dirty table, and just ended up cleaning off our own seats because it was either that or stand the rest of the night. While even getting a seat in the place was a hassle, I was excited to see they actually had La Chouffe on tap… except they were tapped out as they were with the second beer I tried to order and the third beer I tried to order. I ran into a friend of mine who was there before me, and he complained that he had to wait 40 minutes between beers and he ended up going up to the bartender to get his bill and pay and leave. At that point I was already dreading the wait I would have ahead of me. Fortunately, considering how busy the place was, I didn’t find my wait between beers to be too bad. I would have liked to review the food, but we gave our food order to one of the bartenders and it never got put in. So, I got nothing on that front. They were nice enough to comp me one of my beers and my friend’s soda since we spent the evening starving, but I would’ve rather have had the chips and chili I ordered there than the 7-Eleven pizza I ended up eating. So, if you like your 4th choice of beer and 7-Eleven food, I highly recommend Elwoods.
