I have gone 3 times and I have tried different things every time I go. Everything has been great the service is great. You can get a discount if your a student. The slice of cheese pizza is huge 2 people can eat from it and the classic burger is the best, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and I get it cooked medium rare. My parents love the wings; if you’re a fan of spice food you’ll love the buffet wings, if your not the BBQ are awesome. I will be returning for more!

Live a few blocks away from their grove location and decided to try these guys out on a rainy Monday… Delicious lasagna and garlic rolls, as well as adequate delivery time. Portions are also quite large. Definitely will order from here again :)

I’ve been having Groovy’s pizza for a long while, this one since it opened up next to Jimmy Johns. I’m very picky about my pizza crusts(in other words, I never eat them) but with Groovy’s, I order the pizza ESPECIALLY for the crust! Tastes like a dinner roll with a buttery hint. The garlic rolls are pretty yum, and I’m not a fan of excessive garlic either. My favorites are the meatball sub and their wings! They’re delicious, and their french fries are heavenly. Their cheese fries ACTUALLY have generous amounts of cheese, while other places have fries with a drop of cheese! Their customer service is also top-notch. They made a mistake on one of our orders, and gave us a fresh medium pizza to make up for it, free of charge. The workers already know my family since we’re regulars, and I’d never have another pizza place over this!

I think this place is a front for something a little shady. Won’t last long. Go to jimmy Johns next door. A lot friendlier.

This Groovys a pizza is right down the street from my Condominum so it’s just a short walk and extremely convienant. I had previously eaten at the Lincoln road location and had a horrible experience, so was interested if the chain was just something to avoid. I’m glad it’s not the case. I ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza and a lasagna and was surprised how big the slices were. The pizza looked delicious but was nothing to write home about. As a child in NYC I got all the pizza I wanted from my family’s store so I know all about good pizza and this doesn’t come close. On the other hand the lasagna was pretty tasty, $ 4 cheaper than Lincoln Road location and was served with garlic rolls. If it wasn’t ice cold in the center I probably would have given a higher rating to this review. I think this location has great potential though, it’s brand new and they’re probably still working out some kinks, employee turnover, etc. I would definately go back and give it another try.

Decided to stop in after MTB riding for dinner, ordered a 14″ pie took about 11 min to bake. No complaint on that. I ordered a sausage and«fresh garlic«pizza. Ok here is my take on their pizza. Very nice soft buttery like crust little on the doughy side my my liking, very little sauce and way too much cheese ! So it makes it a knife and fork eating experience because it’s too soft and the toppings will run and fall off the slice, great anger will come if I let this happen. I asked for some more pizza sauce because this is in no way NY style pizza ! It’s all about sauce to me, that’s part of the flavor. I found this pizza to have no flavor except for the toppings, mind you, I could have just bought toppings and eaten that instead, but you come to eat pizza and in my opinion it better be crafted right in the first place. So I asked for pizza sauce in a little solo cup and it’s cold, he says I can heat it up, sure and said that’s the way it’s supposed to be ! Duh? Miami has a tendency with some so called pizzerias so claim they make pizza, but anyone can make cheese on dough and that’s what I don’t like ! If this is no problem for you enjoy it, others wise I don’t care to pay for that if it’s not made correctly or this new so called pizza style omits the sauce. I don’t consider that to be pizza with flavor just some extra fattening cheese and no real culinary skills other than getting you full. Stick to Casolas pizza not far away for good NY style pizza or head south to The Big Chesse. The my both might appeal to you that wanna bee pizza restaurants.

Welcome to the neighborhood! Exactly what we needed, great menu from their pizza(best creamy mozzarella cheese)! The burgers are tasty as well as a sweet treat — the delish«Bombas» ice cream with a hard chocolate shell wow!

I came here because I’ve looked at this place for months and never wanted to get pizza in a town with so many other healthier choices, but today, I was going to find out what was happening here. Walking in, I thought it would be decent, almost, but not quite fast food(pizza joint style). The first surprise was that they have more than pizza going on. I asked for what’s good. I was given skirt steak sandwich, wrap, or plate options with salad/rings/fries. I took the plate with salad and mahi instead of the steak. I was asked how I wanted the mahi? I said«cooked?» Got a cup and a buzzer, went to sit at one of the many large booths in the place. Three big screens up high with something for everyone on them(cartoons, sports, and something else). The instrumental music had a nice catchy beat that apparently never ended(Dom Dolla). The place was clean, low key and nice inside. The buzzer goes. I get my plate(more like bowl) on my tray of a very good sized salad with even more mahi in the middle. The mahi was so plump that I thought it was chicken at first. The dressing came in a little cup perfectly portioned for this meal. I spread it around and enjoyed.(see pic) I meant to give my compliments to the staff, but they were busy… So all they got was this review. I will definitely be back now that I know I can get healthy food in a pizza place.

When you first walk in you get caught up with the south beach style beats in the air. The cashier was very sweet and she answered my questions about the Mahi Mahi, oh so fresh, which was recommended by the manager on the Greek salad. Superb! Very fresh. It’s enough for at least three people to munch on. It’s a clean looking place and the free wifi is a nice touch. I’ll be back to try that sweet looking pizza with the flaky crust! Now the table is a bit High like at chest level. and so is the soda machine.

I had a slice of cheese pizza and french fries. The one thing that I don’t like about certain pizza places is when they drizzle fresh cheese on top of already baked pizza. Also, I did not like the sodium or salt content of the slice of pizza.

The place is laid back and super clean. The staff is amazing and they have great deals depending on the night. We ordered a meat lovers pizza and the chef tonight was Harold — it was on point ! We had wings and cheese sticks and you could taste this food is fresh. If you want to enjoy your self and eat some good food — make sure to stop in !

Discovered this new spot after recently moving to the area. After eating at the restaurant the first time we gave delivery a try as well. Customer service is great, super nice staff and delivery drivers. They even came back one time to give my fat self a dessert. Pizza is pretty standard with great taste. Pasta sauce Alfredo needs a little work, its way to thick and plain. Bomba Gelato is heaven on earth, especially the crunchy outter layer with vanilla and chocolate ice cream on the inside. Only recommendation for restaurant w/this is don’t put a cherry in the middle or cherry sauce on outside. Some people are allergic or just get sick from it :) thanks!

Wanted to check out the new Groovy’s, near my house so it was convenient. We had a coupon so the damaged was not that bad but the food was. We ordered a slice of cheese pizza, the dough was undercooked and it had that doughy taste. The wings, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and fries tasted like frozen food that was fried out of the bag. No original favors, I can do this at home with Ore Ida. Meatball sub was OK. My picky thing: Soda machine is soo high up there that I had to stick my finger in the cup to know when to stop pouring. I like to help restaurants in the neighborhood but not coming back. With so many different options to chose from, Groovy’s Pizza & Grill really needs improve on food quality to match their prices.

***NOTE: ITAPPEARSTHAT3OFTHE5STARREVIEWSFORTHISBUSINESSMAYHAVEBEENPOSTEDBYANOWNEROREMPLOYEE. This Groovy’s Pizza and Grill location just opened several days ago in a new building near 27th and Coral Way, adjacent to the Coconut Grove Metrorail station. I’ve long been a fan of the Groovy’s Pizza location on Miami Beach and have been excited for this«Pizza & Grill» location to open. When you first arrive, you go to the registers where the menu and prices are listed on a few large video screens behind the cashier. You place your order, pay and give them your name, have a seat, and when your food is ready they bring it to your table. This place offers plastic cutlery. Napkins and some condiments like jars of dried peppers are available at each table, while others like sauces and spices are served in small pre-measured plastic cups that one can see stacked along the window peering into the kitchen. The good: It’s nice to see Groovy’s expand their offerings beyond just pizza. This location also offers salads, appetizers, pasta, wings, burgers, sandwiches/wraps, and even some entrees like steak, chicken and fish. They also have a few dessert offerings. The pizza is exactly the same as their beach location which is a good thing IMO; Groovy’s makes their pizza with a buttery croissant-like crust which really adds a unique taste and texture. Prices are also reasonable: I had a drink and a slice of pepperoni pizza which was so large I was unable to finish it, and the cost was $ 7.49… Even their entrees like steak, chicken and mahi mahi with fries or onion rings and a salad price out at only $ 13 on average. The not so good: Parking in this area is lacking, with really no street parking, and the lot this restaurant shares with the sandwich place next door is pretty small. If you’re only stopping by for a quick slice, don’t expect the same Groovy’s experience you get at their«pizza only» location where you order a slice, grab a drink, they heat up the pizza you ordered and you’re quickly on your way. On this day there were only I think 3 others seated in the place when I arrived. I placed my order and the guy took my name… Though I could see through the window looking into the kitchen that they had a pre-cooked pepperoni pizza that they were parting out into slices and there were 2 people working in the kitchen, I still waited more than 10 minutes before my single slice of pepperoni was heated and brought to me. Maybe they’re trying to treat this as more of a «sit down and take your time» restaurant vs. the«order and fly» experience on the beach? Anyway, the entire time I was eating, there was another man having a beer and apparently waiting on his order. As I was leaving he was up at the counter, peering back into the kitchen and shaking his head so evidently he also wasn’t crazy about the wait? The placement of the soda and drink dispensers makes little sense… They’re mounted up on top of a higher countertop, and one must reach UP to try and fill your cup(see the photo I posted). There’s no way that anyone can see the top of your cup or down into the cup to tell when it’s getting full, I guess people are expected to judge by weight? Heaven help children or shorter adults, as they’ll have a difficult time reaching.

If you have to decide whether or not to order pizza or eat here, do yourself a favor and order instead. This place is extremely over priced for the quality of the food. I ordered a burger medium rare with no onions to go. When i got home and checked the food, the container was obviously not the correct size for the food and squished my rock hard burger with onions. Also ordered«garlic» bread that was basically a huge piece of bread with two pieces of tiny garlic. I laughed because this place is like a bad joke.
