Immediately upon walking in the door, we received dirty looks from the two women working here. As previously stated in other reviews, they advertise 15 varieties of empanada but only actually offer 6. Aside from the attitude from beginning to end from the employees, I would give the empanadas 2.5÷5 stars. However the service is a 0. Stay clear Unilocal

Were I to open a car dealership that adhered to the Half Moon Emapanadas buisness philosophy, I would provide brochures depicting luxurious Rolls-Royce, flawless Lamborghini, glamorous convertibles, roomy SUVs, and clean, reliable, sedans. But when a customer went to select one of the offered vehicles, all I would have to sell(at ridiculous price) was a ten-year-old Kia featuring a flat tire, gum-filled cup holders, susupicious stains on the seats, broken air-conditioner, windows that cannot be rolled down, and car disc player stuck repeating a Barry Manilow album. There wouldn’t even be any windshield wiper fluid. — A real jalopy. That is what Half Moon Empanadas is like — I wanted to order a pulled pork, or steak, or hamburger empandas. None of those were available. Instead(after a significant wait) I was stuck with a spinach empanda. It was little more than a block of half-melted, processed cheese sprinkled with«spinach»(i suspect those green flakes were in fact expired fish food) all sealed within a bland, stale pastry. Shit was wild expensive, too. Do not go to Half Moon.

I tried the location inside the MIA airport at gate D29. Nice little kiosk, the empanadas ‘looked’ perfect in the ‘warming’ case but taste and texture was that of empanadas made a day ago & left out to go stale. I’m pretty sure they make them off-site somewhere and deliver them to this location early in the day and then let them sit in the display case all day with only slightly warm air and lights on them. B4 I comitted to buying, I specifically asked the clerk if they could heat these up if I order some. She said that wouldn’t be necessary as they are already hot. Like a fool I trusted and believed :(If you know and enjoy real authentic empanadas, this isn’t the place for you. Dough was dry and hard, contents dry and tacky. BARELY even warm.

Not impressed! The empanadas look good but when you taste them they dont have flavor. They have a menu with a lot of different flavors but they just make 5 of them. I tried the Chicken, pepperoni and cheese and beef. None of them were good. They were just ok. My fav empanadas are in Patagonia. Unfortunately for people that live around here its too far

It’s weird to me that the Taco Bell right next door has 8 reviews but this place has 0! Amazingly fresh empanadas. I watched as the workers were preparing ingredients. The chicken and steak appear to be of good quality. They did not have all of the empanadas that I wanted to try available hence the 4 stars. The ones I was able to taste(spinach, corn, spicy chicken) were all incredible and my teenage daughter agreed! I would definitely order a dozen to go next visit. These and a salad would make a perfect meal
