If you’re in downtown and are pressed for time, but want something yummy to eat, CLOS is the spot. It is a cute place with a vintage feel to it. It is decorated with old vinyl records and old radios. For lunch, they have a prepared food bar, but you can also order sandwiches and salads a la cart. The empanada section looks amazing! I was famished, so I went for the food bar. They had 5 different options of protein to choose from and you get two sides as well. I went for the chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce, with rice and salad. The sauce was lacking in salt, but that was an easy fix. The portions are hearty and the price is a deal. I think next time for sure I am hitting up the empanadas, because I can’t get over how good they looked.

Yay! Clos! We first found this hidden downtown spot when a Groupon became available for a lunch deal. My work hubby & I are always on the lookout for new Downtown lunch spots, so we were stoked to find this spot. For lunch, they have a prepared foods bar, where you can pick a meat and two sides. We tried the short ribs and the beef, with a salad and potatoes. The meats were tender and delicious and not at all dry or over cooked. I’m looking forward to trying some other entrées there, because these were both so delicious. They also had a chicken and a fish option on the day we went. Clos also has about 10 different flavors of empanadas to choose from. There’s regular and premium options. We had plenty of food, as the lunch is generously portioned, but we wanted to try an empanada anyway and got one to share. Delicious pastry baked up, not fried. Today Jen S and I were downtown early, so we popped in to grab some empanadas for breakfast. We tried the chicken and the mushroom(which was on the premium list). Both were delicious, but I was blown away by the mushroom! The filling was with s creamy cheese, like maybe a Neufchâtel– out of this world delicious! The desserts looked really tasty & I noticed that they have breakfast specials until 11AM! Highly recommend popping in for an empanada or lunch when in the downtown area.

Lunch Review: Great consistent food! This place is great, atmosphere is always energetic. Adriana, the shop owner is really nice as well. It’s always great to see a leader at the store front. Honestly, everything is made with quality.

Great service and food was also delicious! We ordered spinach pie and got vegetable as side dish. You also get water for free. Definitely recommend!

Great(cheap) coffee, homemade pastries and cafeteria style lunch. Came at 2:30PM after the lunch rush. Service was friendly and excellent. Pick your protein and two sides for $ 9.99. The place is Argentinian, so three out of five options were beef, the other two chicken or tilapia. Everything was very well seasoned and I loved the roasted parsley potatoes, non-greasy and crispy. American coffee $ 1.50 is a steal and was excellent. Couldn’t leave without trying a slice of their berry cake with vanilla pudding filling. Almost as good as grandma’s and a huge slice. The puff pastry filled with dulce de leche was a little dry, probably better to get it first thing in the morning. Would come here again just for cake and coffee. I am not sure how they pay their rent with these prices.

I had been wanting to come here for a while, as every time I walked by the place looked full. I finally made it there today, and let me say I was not disappointed. The food was quite delicious, and they had good servuce. What I liked about it was that they not only sold what your average lunch spot sells in downtown Miami– which is salads, soups and sandwiches. They also had a variety of meats, rice, salad, vegetables and empanadas, all for a great price! The only complain I have is that t I felt confused as to what their lunch menu was. They don’t have a lunch menu for people to read of on the wall, as most places do. I think it would be great if they would at least add something on the wall so that people knew what their menu consisted of along with their daily specials.

Awesome. Fresh food — coffee is just a piece of art — every sip makes me happy and stay longer, the attitudes of the guy who took care of us was just outstanding — very kind, felt a lot of care from him. They deliver more than just usual star bucks or aroma expresso bar. Wish more places like this around!

Words can’t describe how delicious the food is here. Tried the milanesa and the empanadas. The staff was so friendly and helped narrow down our search because it all looked so good! Be sure to save room for desert

The empanadas here are terrific; I pick up a few for an afternoon snack several times a week. The other day I got a chicken salad sandwich for $ 3.50; simple preparation yet maximum tastiness. I have not an entrée here so cannot speak as to those, but if you need a snack the chow is well prepared and the service is friendly. The best empanadas downtown!

Went here 2 days ago and loved the flavor of the beef empanadas. Although I wish they were freshly made as the outside was no longer crisp. Also ordered a soup which looked yummy, but it was room temperature! I’m visiting from out of town and had to way to warm it up, but why would you sell that to me?!? Also had a chicken mushroom and rice dish. Chicken was super hard but the sauce was not bad. Would have given more stars but the soup issue was ridiculous.

Honestly, I was originally going to go to another place for breakfast but once realizing that they were closed, I decided to go elsewhere. I was immediately attracted to Clos. I checked out the menu and liked what I saw so I went inside. I do have to dqmot hat I was a bit hesitant at first due to the fact that I didn’t know whether to sit down or wait for someone. I immediately figured out that it was the former of the two. I ordered a breakfast special — 3 pancakes with eggs with a choice to drink of coffee or orange juice for $ 6 dollars and some change. I also had the Spinach Empinaca.(I’m not sure if that’s the right word/correct spelling.) The actual breakfast was decent. The Spinach Empinaca(^) was the highlight for me and I would definitely go back for that itself. The cashier who also served the food was friendly and the food came out sooner than I expected. The décor was different than some places I’m used to in Downtown which I liked. Pretty much a good place to eat and what was great too was that it’s all affordable! Great considering it’s in Downtown.

$ 6.49 for a half sandwich(the equivalent of a 6 inch sandwich), a side of salad and a drink AND in Downtown Miami? I’m sold! I have yet to try their other food options(although all of my coworkers’ feedback about their meat, veggie and fish options has been extremely positive) but with so many tasty options here, the convenience of being close to my office, and food at a decent price point, I will definitely consider coming back whenever I either(a) run out of lunch to brown bag from home or(b) feel like treating myself, like today, for Valentine’s Day.

This was the closest spot for a reasonably priced breakfast/snack near my hotel. I only got empanadas here and thoroughly enjoyed each and every one of them. These aren’t your regular empanadas. They were more on the premium side. For example, instead of just regular beef empanadas, they offer Angus beef and oh what a difference that made! Nice chunks of steak filled in a glorious crust that I couldn’t get enough of bite after bite. It’s a good thing I bought two! We also tried the vegetarian, tuna, salmon, potato/raisin and chicken empanadas. The vegetarian was my 2nd favorite and I wouldn’t have bothered ordering it but the cashier said it was awesome. It was!

This is a cute little place to get a good coffee and excellent pastry for breakfast or brunch while staying nearby in downtown miami. If you are staying at the intercontinental, the epic or jw marriott it’s within walking distance. Their empanadas seemed popular but I didn’t have the chance to eat one. I did however enjoy scrambled eggs, croissant and café con leche. Tables are simple and covered with beautiful brown paper which has been stamped with logo. A nice touch. Décor is a bit strange. It’s also hard to decide whether to sit down and be served or to order and then take a seat. They need to work on this, All in all a great place worth visiting and prices are fair.

These guys have been around here for a few years now and it shows they have a good business model. Their food and service quality is always top notch and they keep the place super clean. –Empanadas are what they are known for. When they first opened up, their pricing was a little high bit they’ve come down since then, which is nice. –They used to do an empanada making class every so often a few years ago but stopped doing it, they should really consider doing it again! –Pastries here are really rich, but super good. My office had ordered on of the dolce de leche cakes and it was pretty incredible I definitely recommend this place foe anyone needing a quick bite and is in the area!

MUSTDRINKTHEHOTCHOCOLATE! I went here for breakfast after reading it’s review on Unilocal and also because this place was right outside the Intercontinental hotel(where I was staying) and is open in the morning. DECOR: Simple and clean! FOOD: I was too full after having a heavy dinner the previous night and did not order too much. Ordered the basics– hot chocolate, coffee con leche and plan croissants. I am totally in love with the hot chocolate, it was super delicious. The coffee con leche was bitter(I don’t like bitter coffee). They have a separate menu for breakfast and they don’t serve empanadas or croquettes in the morning. So, if you would like to eat empanadas, you have to visit Clos after noon. Also, this place is open till 6.30 in the evening and infact, most other places in downtown Miami are open till 6.30 pm. SERVICE: The waiter was super polite and friendly. The food was served within 15 mins from the time ordered. PRICE: Reasonable and our total was $ 8 without tips.

Good surprise for a quick lunch spot. Sort of a cafeteria, quick easy lunch to go. On the daily special«cooked» meals, they offer skirt steak, salmon, beef and chicken. For the sides you have rice, vegetables, roasted sweet potatoes, mashed potatoe and salads. $ 10 choose your meat and two sides! Unbeatable. I got salmon, roasted sweet potatoes and salad. The salmon is HUGE and the sweet potatoes are delicious. Roasted with the skin they are very soft. Service is very nice because they take the time to explain how it works and what the dishes are.

Before I get started I have to say I love Clos but why do they have an open table thingy? It’s not the kind of place you need a reservation(just saying). Yes, I love love love this place! Having them right down the street from me is a blessing and a curse. One of my favorite things to do is get a little pick-me-up in the form of a freshly made empanada(ground beef and cheese and onion are the best) and café con leche. If my sweet tooth is raging I know I can get a delicious mini alfajor or arrollado de dulce de leche. Mmmm Argentinian pastry heaven. The BEST is going early in the morning when the empanadas are hot and fresh out the kitchen. The smell is wonderful and they’re nice and warm. I also love that they are open until 6pm(M-F) and open on Saturday mornings. Oh and the customer service is always friendly, you always get a community vibe from them. My husband enjoys their lunch special too. For me you can just keep those empanadas coming…
