More like Slumlords of America. RUN AWAY!
My husband found this apartment at 500 NE 33^rd St and we thought it was a good find so checked it out, liked it, and signed our contract the next day.
The same night we moved in we started seeing small roaches in the kitchen, and not just on the counters — everywhere! The contract specified the place would be move-​in ready, but it was far from it! Roaches on the kitchen counter, crawling on the ceiling, even inside the (very old) refrigerator. We had to take the refrigerator apart and clean it with bleach. When we asked about getting it replaced, the maintenance guy (a very nice guy, but clearly without the needed funding to maintain the building) told us to talk to management.
The next day I noticed it smelled damp in the bathroom. There was a leak below the sink and there was mold. The roach problem continued even after putting THREE roach bombs before we moved in and many roach traps and cleaning the cabinets. Even with the refrigerator clean, there were small roaches crawling on the exterior of the fridge (mostly at night).
The night before our expected move-​in date, we decided to cancel the move and try to get our money back. I called Idiomatic and told them the problem and they were nice enough to agree to return our deposit and first month rent a week later (less $ 150 application fee). We moved our things out by the next day and the following day my husband went to turn in our contract and receipt to their office. He mentioned the place was in no condition to live (roaches, mold, disgusting fridge, broken screens, etc.), especially with a baby. In response, the manager stated this was a «free country» and people can go elsewhere if they don’t like it. I’m not sure what country she thinks this is, but clearly she is not aware that in this «free country,» we have municipal rules/​regulations (ps. passing a 40-​year inspection in 2007 does not mean the place you are renting today is move-​in ready) that are meant to protect tenants from nefarious slumlords.
In short, please make sure that if you decide to rent here that you inspect the apartment very well during the day and at night and look in appliances, which are old and need replacing– not just brush strokes of paint to cover up disrepair. Once you agree to move in, do not expect much to be done for you by maintenance or management.

As noted by the previous reviewer, the property, which is located at 455 & 500 NE 33^rd street (Midtown), has very unsafe living conditions. I lived there for a couple of months, and was totally disgusted by the how the building was maintained.
Management is ghost. You’ve have broken laundry machines, roaches everywhere — from the kitchen sink all the way to your bedroom. There’s also many illegals and drug dealers roaming around the apartments (that’s if you consider them roaches, too).
Requests for changes go ignored.
Avoid, if possible.
