Convenient & good selection but HORRIBLE Customer service and extremely overpriced!!! The employees will stand there and have 10 min conversations while totally ignoring customers. I’ve been coming here for years and Never once received friendly, on time customer service. Forget this place and order from instacart

Well as a person that lives on the island it is convenient to get some things there sometimes just for convenience but other than that it’s expensive — there is no such thing as customer service — unorganized — the foods are dry and tasteless — it is just convenient to get that orange juice or bottle of wine or that milk that u forgot to pick up while u were out … They deliver to people on island — but I wouldn’t recommend it everytime I have ordered something for delivery there whether it was a sandwich or carton of milk — or just some eggs. They never get to me before an hour has passed fastest time of delivery was 45 mins and I live directly across from them. People that work there are not polite except for maybe one or two people … Only reason this place is still running is the convenience of it’s location for Island residents if this place was off the island it would have closed down a long time ago.

Prepared foods are dry and carelessly prepared. Service is inattentive and or non-​existent. Prices are not reasonable. Do yourself a favour and only buy goods off of the shelf so you don’t need to wait for anyone (because they ain’t coming anyway). One exception is the sandwich counter; there is one lady who works there and is attentive, but I’ve only seen her twice. Excellent wine and champagne selection, and nice Italian goods.

Salad Bar, Salad Bar, Salad Bar… Yummy! They have several types of veggies, proteins and greens to choose from. They charge $ 8.50 lb and you get to make your own salad just the way you want it!

My wife constantly goes to buy food or to eat lunch. I never saw why she would but until Saturday at 1:00 P.M., I was bored as hell and the TV wasn’t working. Then 5 minutes later my wife asks me to go and get groceries with her and I thought «should I or not go with her?». But why not, I’m bored as hell. So we walk to place and first thing I see is a café and tomatoes painted on a wall. I go inside and first thing I see is a huge section of candy and chocolate. We looked at our grocery list and it said lettuce, broccoli, American cheese, turkey, steak, tomatoes, white bread, milk, cocoa puff cereal, potatoes, eggs, salmon, sausage, cream cheese, and dog food. The space was a little problem. The atmosphere was not fit. We got everything we needed here. But before I got to go back home, I grabbed a chocolate Hershey Bar. But for some reason I rather have gone to Publix.

They have everything! Customized salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and all kinds of hot foods. Everything is fresh!
Also the added bonus of a wonderful location in Brickell Key!

Very convenient location for people who live in Brickell Key. Good variety of groceries and they also have prepared meals ranging from pizza to soups and salads, which tend to be very good. Might be a little on the expensive side, but it’s worth it! Outside terrace is very nice.

I love this place so so much, the food is always fresh and the selection is huge, all kinds of exotic groceries from all over the world, specially from Brazil! Coxinha, kibbeh, brigadeiro, catupiry, batom, serenata de amor and even Brazilian style milanesas. The chicken curry salad is ooooh so good and the salad dressings are all yummy too! Hard to pick one! The have inside and outside seating w free drinkable water in case you want to eat right a way. For me this place is a perfect ten!

Don’t plan on coming to the islander market if you don’t speak Spanish. Aside that no one speaks English, the service is pathetic and the cashiers are straight up rude. To top it all off a piece of pre-​made lasagna, that’s right, pre-​mad lasagna cost $ 14.
If it weren’t next to my girlfriends apartment I would never go back, but until then I will be forced to stop in there and again simply because it’s the only choice on bk.

The Islander is a great place to pick up a quick and healthy lunch. Especially if you work on the island! I usually love getting their soups to add onto my salad. Their pizza is also amazing. The only con is that their prices are a little overpriced due to its convenience.

I absolutely love this place! I always walk here to get a quick bite to eat and it always is satisfying. Food is fresh and delicious. A bit overpriced on things like wines though they have very good ones. The people are always nice there and the location is beautiful.

Worst service!
Over priced, every time we order the order always comes messed up.
Today we find out that not only the prices increased, the portions are significantly smaller.
I ordered dinner including mix veggies that came to me looking like some one puked that stuff out.
I do not recommend them anymore as their service went to the dump

A little bit pricey, but it’s convenient. I work on Brickell Key and frequent the Islander almost every day. I’ve tried pretty much everything there and it’s all delicious. The customer service is top notch and everyone is friendly. I love their café con leche. :)

Nice place… had no idea this was on the key and I live very closeby too.
It could server other Brickellites as well; however, I’ve seen no advertising from this place.
MIght stop back for a sandwich or a quick dinner. This place is a good alternative for preprepared foods. For convenince, I’d shop here instead of the Fresh Market in the Grove.

For those of us who live here you will understand where I am coming from when I write this. For those of us from the north (like me originally) you may not.
When you live and work in Miami many of the blessings of living here are lost on us; not because we do not appreciate them… but because we are seldom ever there. We go to the ocean the same number of times as visitors (if we are lucky) and actually enjoy the great climate only once in a while. We head elsewhere to vacation.
The Islander Marketplace has that feel of tranquil vacation that I knew growing up. Miami is a big city and has that big city hustle and bustle in most parts. When you are a local here you never get to enjoy that relaxing outdoor meal by the water. This place gives you that feel.
When I go I usually order a pizza or a calzone if they are offering them that night. Their gelatto is outstanding and their selction of take away items are tasty as well.
Like everyone else has said… the place is a little more expensive than other «marketplaces» but if you think of it as a restaurant it is actually quite affordable and quite enjoyable.
Great for a quiet night alone, with kids or perhaps even a date.

Brickell Key folks are very lucky to have this great Gourmet market on their island. I find myself coming here often for some quick items. Since we moved to the area, this was one of the very first places we found. Sure the prices on grocery items are higher than say Publix, but it is a matter of convenience.
So many night’s we would come here and grab coffee and a desert and sit outside. They have great desert’s, fresh sandwiches, meats, groceries and even a very nice selection of wine and Champagne. They run specials frequently and you can find some great deals.
I popped in the other day just to grab their baguette’s. They make an awesome baguette that is so fresh and good. The store is clean and the staff are very nice and helpful. Good service! Glad we can take a quick drive over, just wish we had a nice gourmet market here in the downtown area that would be in walking distance.

Working on Brickell Key, there’s not many dining options around, but luckily Islander is around to provide some great grub. I’m not lying when I say this place sells everything. A self-​service salad bar, a sandwich station, hot food specials, by the pound food options, pizza made to order, burgers made to order and a good selection of desserts are only some of the goodies at Islander.
I stick to the salad bar on most days, but I’ve tried a great deal of the food and it definitely hits the spot. No matter what you have a craving for — Islander can hook you up.
Downside? This place is EXPENSIVE. No surprise as it’s the main food locale in Brickell Key (unless you want to drop some serious bills at Azul at the nearby Mandarin Oriental).
The staff at Islander is always pleasant and helpful, often joking around with the customers and quickly attending the large lunch crowd.

The Islander is a must-​have for people living on Brickell Key. It’s a great spot to pick up some missing essentials if you’re cooking at home, or to pick up some prepared foods.
They have a pizza oven and they make a decent slice. They have some nice baked goods as well.
This location used to be a Gardner’s and was then sold and became the Islander Marketplace. Some things have changed, but one constant remains… the sandwich station. They really do make a great sandwich and it could possibly be the best deal the store has to offer.
Many items you’ll find here, like milk, eggs, cheese, wine, etc. are overpriced. I’m sure that’s due to two things… a captive audience of people living and working on the island and to cover what is undoubtedly high rent.
As I just mentioned, try not to go here for the essentials unless absolutely necessary (as there is no value in these things), but be sure to try a sandwich and some of their prepared foods. Although, another warning is that their prepared foods used to be a much better value and now have become a bit pricey for a food that is not coming «made to order.» You could have a sit-​down meal for the same price.
Overall, the location is clean, friendly and offers a great service to the people of Brickell Key.

The Islander Marketplace provides the great neighborhood market that we all need. You can stop in and pick up a few necessary basics but also find fresh sushi, soups, salads, and hot sandwiches. Simple outdoor seating is available for those wanting to grab a quick bite. A small but impressive sweet selection is also available.
