I feel like people who eat here and think it’s great only do so because they work in brickell and our other options are so limited. Jimmyz is decent and nothing more. However, for Brickell, it stands out as not being a national chain or super expensive. It’s edible, better than many other walkable options here, but is never go out of my way. The recipes are all very average in taste and execution, no particular menu item stands out in taste or inspiration. The salad dressings seem at least to be fresh and homemade, but not particularly delicious. The sandwiches are small for the price, only moderately stuffed, and with no real sides included. A backup option when I’m sick of everything else walking distance from the office.

3.5 Jimmy’s Kitchen is located steps away from Mary Brickell Village and sits about 25 people inside and out. It’s a great lunch spot but be aware the kitchen takes 15 – 20 mins to deliver your order. I’ve tried several items from their menu and their Mofongo is by far the best. JK offers a great selection of sandwiches and salads too. I’ve oddly found their sandwiches to lack flavor. All their portions, however, are substantial. With such diverse menu options, JK is a casual and convenient spot that won’t disappoint.

This little shop is about 5 minutes away on foot from my job I stopped by cause I wanted a sandwich that wasn’t from my usual place. Although it is small it is nice and definitely one of the freshest sandwich spots I’ve been to around the Brickell area. I can honestly tell you that the food was so good the first time I had to come back the next day to try something different. The first one I had was the steak sandwich that was basically an unloaded philly but don’t take that as a bad thing because it was extremely tender and hot. Then I came back the next day to try their Club panini which was fantastic. As a side not they ran out of turkey and they didn’t mind adding chicken in to replace it and by all means that was most appreciated. I definitely can tell you this little shop is great, fresh, and friendly. A must try for a city sandwich and I will be going back another time to maybe try one of their entrees

This place is awesome. I’d never had mofongo and tried the churasco mofongo. Loved it! It was delicious, fresh and plenty for my wife and me to share. The kids had a blt panini and they loved it. Said it was the best blt ever. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and patient with us as we asked what mofongo was. Highly recommended!

Jimmyz is a great addition to the Brickell fast-casual dining scene. The restaurant is located on 9th Street between Miami Avenue and SW1st Avenue. These are the items that I love that are consistently good: Jerk Chicken Salad: mixed greens, mango, tomato, avocado, almonds. So delicious and fresh, and the jerk chicken gives the salad a nice spicy kick. Fajita Salad: like a fiesta in my mouth! Combines mixed greens, tomato, cheese, sautéed onions, peppers, black beans, tortilla strips and you have the option to add chicken or steak. So delicious! Soup of the Day: today was white bean and chicken, but the soup options change regularly. The vegetable soup is also very good The service is great, the restaurant is spotless and my order has always been right and delicious. Thanks Jimmyz! I look forward to future meals.

Vegetable roulette. That’s what you pay at Jimmyz Kitchen. There’s always something that’s spoiled and it’s a fun game for the whole family to guess which one it’ll be prior to ordering. Today I ordered the jerked chicken salad. It was the tomatoes! I guessed it would be the cucumbers like it was the last time I went — but alas this time it was the tomatoes. To top it off, I got a business call today which I stepped outside to take. My coworkers left to go back to the office and told the wait staff to leave my meal there since I was returning. Slightly unnerving to leave my food unattended due to the perrenial insects which are always on the tables buzzing around the food, but neither the call not my coworkers could wait. I needn’t have worried since the helpful guy working at the counter promptly the out my meal and told me he thought I had left when I returned to finish it. I will be cutting down on my rotten vegetable and fly intake and avoiding Jimmy’z from now on. I’d suggest that any reading this learn from my experience and avoid it like the plague — unless you really enjoy a good game of vegetable roulette.

AMAZING fries just like homemade cut fried potatoes, not a lot of options besides sandwiches and salads

Great food! Questionable service! My wife and I went to Jimmy’z for dinner on a Sunday night and would probably have given the experience 5 stars had it not been for the service we received on this particular occasion. We arrived to a vacant restaurant and were barely greeted by the staff member present. We came with the Gilt City deal and were ready to spend our $ 40 for a big dinner feast. We asked the staff member about their appetizers and we were informed that the Brickell location did not have any of the appetizers besides the guava cheese balls(which are incredible). We then asked about the soup of the day and were again informed that they were out of soup. Doing the quick math to get to $ 40, we then decided our money would be best spent ordering two entrees, a sandwich and a side dish. I ordered the seared ahi special and my wife ordered the chicken portabella. We then opted for the blackened chicken panini and the garlic roasted potatoes. The staff member was kind and offered to bring us a pitcher of water to the table. Besides this, the staff member unfortunately did not excel at customer service. About 10 minutes later our feast arrived. The seared tuna was perfectly cooked. Sitting a top of avocado-tomato salad and served with a side of fluffy white rice. Seared tuna can often times be slightly overcooked and thereby ruined. However, the tuna was amazing! My wife simply could not get enough of her chicken portabella. She cleaned her plate and even used her fork to lap up the remaining mushroom sauce that was sitting in a puddle on her plate. The side of potatoes although unneeded were excellent. The garlic flavor permeated, and while I usually prefer my potatoes well-done and crispy the side dish hit the spot. The blackened chicken panini, although on the smaller side was a true delight. The combination of blackened chicken, sauteed onions, melted cheese and roasted pepper aioli will keep this selection a favorite of mine. Being that it was impossible to finish the mass quantity of food we had ordered, I ventured over to the staff to request a to-go container. For some reason my request was met with rolling of eyes like I was bothering them for some unreasonable request. The food at Jimmy’z is always consistently amazing. Had it not been for my run in with this particular staff member, my experience would have garnered 5 stars!

My first visit to Jimmy’z Kitchen in Brickell did not disappoint. I came in for lunch with a friend and was cordially greeted by none other than Jimmy himself. He was extremely friendly and attentive. I decided to order the Blackened Chicken Panini and it was brought to my table very soon after placing the order. Everything about this panini was awesome! The bread was crunchy, the chicken well seasoned, and the provolone cheese warm and melted. The marinated grilled onions and red pepper aioli were a delicious touch and brought all the flavors together perfectly. My friend ordered the Chicken Pomodoro Panini and was very pleased as well. Everything about my trip here was pleasant. I will for sure be coming back to explore more of the menu!

Maybe I called on the wrong day for a delivery, but no one answers the phone at the Brickell location.

I’ve tried their chicken mofongo twice now, one time dine in and the second time delivery. I’ve never had mofongo anywhere else so can’t really compare, but I’m happy with what I got. The restaurant itself has a modern vibe and is very clean. The best part about this dish is hands down the chicken broth soup/creole sauce that forms a moat around the central tower of plantains. I soak the plantains in the sauce, or else the plantains are on the drier side. The chicken strips swimming around in the sauce are tender and juicy. The portions are huge for 1 person so I always have leftovers.

Best mofongo I’ve had. There are quite a few other things on the menu however I can’t bring myself to order them. It’s clean and nice inside. It’s basically like fresh/fast restaurant model where you order at the counter and they bring it to your table when ready. I’m partial to the chicken or churrasco. It’s a large portion. I don’t think I’ve finished it. Pro tip: They deliver in Brickell. You just have to call and ask ;) The staff has been great every time I’ve been there as well. Request: Would be great to see Jimmy’z get on Eat24 or Grubhub for easy online ordering/payment.

Stopped in tonight to try Jimmy’z for take-out. The girl behind the counter couldn’t have been less interested in taking care of customers if she tried. She just keep picking at her hair! Placed an order for 2 sandwiches and were told it would be 10 minutes. Nothing was really going on in in the place and there was only 2 other people in there. 25 minutes later I had to work hard to get her attention to inquire as to where our food was. Thankfully the chef was kind enough to get her attention and to tell me that it would be up shortly. I will say that both sandwiches were great, though the pork with ham and bacon had a slight edge. I will give it another shot since the food was good, just hope that the service improves.

The staff is seriously amazing and friendly– very refreshing in miami hospitality! I love how they remember me as the soup girl, and how accommodating they have been to me and my staff as we work right by them! Ok the food: also amazing! Fresh and made to order! Great portions and ready quickly for pick up! Everything tastes great so far on the menu, and the quality of the food is excellent! So happy to have a convenient, tasty place nearby with plenty of healthy options! Ps– try their soups! The selection changes regularly!

love love love the jerk chicken salad! I watched Jimmy do a cooking demonstration at an event in March, and he was awesome. I loved how down to Earth he was and how fresh his ingredients are!

Jimmyz Kitchen is now in Brickell! Woohoo! Huge fan of Jimmyz and all of their locations. Food is always fresh and the Jamaican Jerk chicken salad is one of my favorite meals in town. Everything is cooked to order here. Small place and they deliver too. Welcome to the neighborhood!

As a faithful customer or SoBe, US1, & Wynwood locations, I was excited when a location opened in Brickell. Unfortunately, I’ve ordered delivery twice and each time there’s been issue. First go around, I ordered the churassco only to find the meat quality extremely subpar(by other location standards) and my sides lackluster. Yesterday I ordered the mojo pork and it was awesome! However, my sides of avocado and beans did not arrive with the delivery. When I called back I was told they’d be sent immediately with the same driver. One hour and twenty minutes later they arrive with a piece of guava cheese cake pie. Second go around food was much better overall just incomplete. I’m betting Jimmy’s Kitchen Brickell will iron out the kinks and live up to the Jimmy’s Kirchen standards.

AMAZING! Food is authentic, fresh. The store chef is super nice and staff is friendly and welcoming. Food was served rather quick, nicely cooked and perfectly seasoned. Very tasty and different than anything around Brickell. The cheese balls with guava delish! So was the pork mofongo and the caribbean stew soup. Sooo tasty. Mofongo entrée is not cheap but serving is large so 2 hungry people can share 1 entrée and leave very satisfied. Will be coming back for sure!

First time ordering delivery tonight. I tried the chicken mofongo dish as I’ve had the Churrasco mofongo at the restaurant. The mofongo was very moist in it’s red sauce that was so tasty. The chicken was delicious!!! Service and delivery were great. as I usually don’t tolerate late deliveries! I recommend that you try Jimmy’z. Definitely a must for any day or night!
