We ate here during a layover for a flight to Spain… The food was okay(kinda bland) once they brought you what you actually ordered… But it was ridiculously over priced and left you feeling sick for your entire 9 hour flight! Worst guacamole ever!

Waited FOREVER for our food which was just chips & guac and tacos. The chips & guacamole was so tasteless & boring we didn’t bother finishing it. I’ve never had a guac so bland. Tacos were soggy. Gross. Waiter never asked us if we wanted refills on drinks & did not once ask us how we were doing. Took our order as soon as we sat down, delivered it 40 minutes later and never came back. When we were finished with our meal we waited 30 minutes to get the check. Terrible service, terrible food and waste of time. Sandwich at Starbucks nearby would have been more appetizing.

Should’ve checked Unilocal first. Menu clearly says«fried egg» for the huevos rancheros dish, yet was served scrambled eggs on a tortilla with some fkn salsa. I mentioned as much to the bartender and was told that’s the way it comes. Potatoes were garbage as well and couldn’t even get chips and salsa. Avoid at all costs.

You’d think being located in an airport the food would be better! I do suggest the drinks! Great bar area and bartender helpful and friendly!

The food seemed like frozen dinner. They had plastic utensils and charged like a 4 stars place. Everything was bad.

FIRSTOFALLITDOSENTMATTERIFTHISPLACEISINANAIRPORT… i’m paying my money for good food, good service, and I expect better out of a chain facility such as this… Airport or not! Menu sucks, food a bit bland, service could be better if more wait staff were on duty. I was focrced into the burger aft my trusty old standby, taco salad, was delivered to the people sitting next to me and looked bland and kind of stingy on the ingredients… Then another seat had the three chicken tacos… More bland! Come on now this is Mexican food… Where’s the pazazz, the healthy portions, and the visual appeal. I can’t even catch a whiff of food coming out of the kitchen!

Caveat Emptor(Buyer Beware)! For a seasoned Unilocaler such as myself, this was a huge rookie mistake. Rule #1 when traveling is pretty much, always, always, always check the Unilocal rating before eating. But I was caught up in a conversation and blinded by a fairly common brand and threw caution to the wind. Jose Cuervo is indeed a strong brand but this restaurant is doing its absolute best to dilute the brand equity as much as possible. After a miserable lunch I checked the Unilocal rating and it was 1.5(or less) stars. As my dining companion aptly said, well, they sure have earned that rating. Overall, the Miami airport is a dump, don’t know how else to say it and this place is the handle on the toilet. Started with chips and guacamole. Chips were out of a bag, guac needed salt and came in a to-go cup(charming). We made our way through the app and waited, and waited, and waited for the server to come back. Finally flagged her down or I may still be sitting there. Typical airport menu with only a handful of items to allow for quick service. Ordered the fajitas and the pollo enchiladas. That’s when the real wait began. 45 minutes later after numerous inquiries, the fajitas came out. Rice was cold, beans lukewarm and only two small flour tortillas for what was enough filling for four or five tortillas. My pollo enchiladas arrived four minutes later much in the same shape. Asked for extra salsa and they generously offered up a two tablespoon sample container– mucho gracias! Overall food flavor was maybe a two star but given the chance again, I’d visit that famous little redhead down the way(Wendy’s) — she’s a pretty loyal Ginger, and who doesn’t like Gingers? For eating utensils, we were treated to the finest plastic cutlery afforded by the Dollar Store, even Rubio’s gives you real silverware for crying out loud. In fairness to the wait staff, they have these slick little paging devices that allow you to hit to order or to pay. Maybe the wait staff has been dumbed down and respond ala Pavlov’s dogs when they hear the bell and food drops into their bowl. So today I’m setting aside my typical MO to not review restaurants under three stars. In this case that simply wouldn’t be fair. Traveling is hard enough, putting up with bad service and bad food is something Road Warriors can do without. Avoid this place like the one-year old boarding the plane in front of you.

Like the other reviews have stated, the food was bland and fake tasting. The server wasn’t entirely friendly and didn’t realize we needed napkins and silverware until about 3 minutes into setting our food down.

This is a review of the bar! We had a four hour layover. My sister is a tequila fanatic so we decided to try out this place:) We both had the Ultimate Margarita. It was well worth the $ 15. The drink was very strong, and mixed well.

Party of three, seated promptly. We ordered mojitos and the layer dip and it was not bad. Read reviews after we ordered the dip so we decided to stop there and not take any chances. Stop in for a drink at least. Just got check… Mojito was 13. 49 $ damn

Airport Mexican food is typically sub-par. Although this is par for the course, the corn shell veggie tacos«American way» are simple and yummy! Bonus points for yummy salsa and the fun travelers sitting next to me at the bar drinking tequila at 11am:)

I mean, you are in an airport, not some 5 star place off of the beach lol. This place is ok. Pretty pricey, but it’s the airport where they like to over charge and a pack of gum is $ 5 lol. The margaritas are ok and the guac and chips are decent. I think it’s a bit overpriced for that little ass cup of guac they give you, but this place and the service i had at the bar while waiting on my flight was nice. If I’m in this terminal again I would most def stop on in if time permits

This is acceptable Mexican food at an airport in Miami. I didn’t have high expectations. I ordered the nachos to go.$ 15!!! Very pricy, but it is the airport! Order was ready quickly. They used Velveeta style cheese instead of melting shredded cheese on top. Chicken is brown and white meat. Good size portion for one person. The salsa is fresh and very good. You can dine in or take away.

I was happy to see a Mexican restaurant in such an international and busy airport. I came inside without reading the reviews; I was just magnetically attracted by the decoration and music. By the name of the place I can tell that this place was meant to be a bar, or tried to be a cantina. They have a big selection of tequilas and cocktails, but the food menu is limited: 2 soups, quesadillas, tacos, nachos and that’s about it. I asked about the soup of the day and the waitress told me chile, I asked chile how, and she just repeated chile, so I opted for the tortilla soup and carnitas tacos. It took less than 5 minutes for the food to arrive. When I first tried the soup it wasn’t bad, but definitely it wasn’t authentic at all. I couldn’t finish the tacos because the tortillas were huge, and the pork was boiled and dry… I wouldn’t recommend them. The place got busy, with a constant flow of smart people who just ordered nachos. So, I just advice you to stop by if you want a shot, margarita or nachos, not a good meal.

What exactly are people expecting when they come into this place? My co-workers and I enjoyed dinner here last night while waiting for our flight out of Miami and I was actually very surprised to read some of these reviews. One ironic caveat: I didn’t actually order a drink, so I had no tequila at the tequileria. Oh well. We started with an order of the appetizer guacamole. It came with a large order of fresh, hot tortilla chips with a medium sized cup of guac. My only complaint is that the cup was on the small side, because it was actually very good. It had fresh, large chunks of avocado and was topped with some queso fresco. We were all in agreement that this was good by any guacamole standards, let alone airport food. For dinner I ordered the burger, which had some onion and some type of chipotle sauce, I guess to make it at least a little bit Mexican. The burger patty itself was fine, though not the most flavorful. There was a lot of cheese, and all of the toppings seemed very fresh. I asked for avocado on the burger and they gave me a small side of guac, which I was more than happy with! They also gave me a small side of sour cream, though I’m not entirely sure that most people would want that on their burger. The fries were mostly good, though could have used a little bit of salt(something I rarely ever say!) Overall, I was very happy with my dinner! Come with realistic expectations. If you are looking for the most authentic Mexican joint in all of Miami, this is not it. If you are looking for a Jose Cuervo owned Americanized Mexican meal in the middle of an airport, then come here and plan accordingly. You will be satiated and you will get fresh avocado and a fun atmosphere. You will not walk away talking about the best tacos of your life. Duh.

So under I read reviews after I sat down… Realizing it was too late to leave. I was forced to order. My strawberry margarita sucked. I regret not eating at Ku-va! Nachos were not bad though, The quesadillas were plain though. Músic i Did love, nice place but just okay food. Our waiter Oriolis was very nice!

Wow this place is pretty terrible. Ordered chips and salsa, chicken fajitas, and carnitas tacos and all 3 were subpar to terrible. The chips were actually decent(hot and fresh tasting) but the salsa was flavorless and watery. The chicken fajitas were likewise flavorless and rubbery. The dish came with rice and beans which tasted, yet again, flavorless and were also cold. It brought back memories of high school cafeteria food. And finally, the carnitas in the tacos were covered in this awful sweet sauce. I was so repulsed. Imagine combining sweet BBQ sauce with salsa and guacamole… Gross. :( On top of it all, our food took almost 45 mins to come out. The waitress was very nice and kept apologizing. But still. Blah.

Mwahhh! I should have checked Unilocal before going here — but I really wanted tacos and this is about the only place in the Miami airport that has them.(Lots of Cuban food, not so much Mexican). The service was amazing. Seriously, the woman was so genuinely polite and friendly. I even saw her running through the concourse an hour later to give someone a phone they’d forgotten. But…the menu and the food were horrible. First, the prices were crazy. It was like $ 7 or $ 8 for a Corona. Come on! I ordered the«Street Taco» appetizer(because I didn’t want the rice and beans that came with the dinner), and it was 6 tacos. SIX! That was way too much food! I took half of it with me… but ehh. I would have preferred half the price for half the tacos. They were also pretty mediocre. Like the type a midwestern family would make on a Wednesday night. Sorry guys, the 2 stars is warranted. It would be just one, but the waitress was so nice.
