Not too bad, not too good. First time here and ordered two sushis and fried rice. Service was very efficient, but the food didn’t impress me too much. Price wasn’t too bad either, but like I said, nothing much to go crazy about. It is in a very touristy and loud place, however, place inside is rather quiet and low key. I expected the fried rice to be a lot tastier, but it was plain and not too tasty. The reason we tried this place was due to the fact it was the only restaurant without a wait time prior to our movie time, so maybe I’ll give it a second try– depends on the circumstances.

Absolutely the worst sushi restaurant I have ever been to. The sushi was beyond subpar and portion sizes where tiny for the price. The service was atrocious. It took an eternity to receive our food even though the place was pretty much empty. The server never came back around for anything. It also took a very long time to get the check. To add insult to injury, the check already included an automatic 18% tip, which was clearly why the service was so shitty.

This place is tucked into Dolphin mall with many other restaurants around it. It is a very touristy area where people were eating with multiple suitcases around them. We went to the Habachi and I got the combo with scallops and sirloin steak. We first started off with a salad with some sort of pink dressing. I am use to a ginger dressing for Asian places and I am not sure what the salad dressing was but it was very sweet. We then got a miso soup with mushrooms. The miso soup was not very flavored but the mushrooms was a nice added touch. Then came the main course with our chef. We had chef Jeff who made a great show with the fried rice I was waiting for the beating heart beat trick but he did many other ones instead. He did a volcano out of onions and water. There was steam coming out of the the onions. Very cool. Chef Jeff was a super monotone guy who kept making jokes and it was funny when I caught the joke but he was very quiet too. It was also nice that he gave us extras we possible. For example, I did not order fried rice or shrimp but there were extras when he grilled it and he asked if anyone wanted extras. Then he finally made my scallops and steak. It also came with two sauces: one white and one brown sauce. I am not sure what it is made of but the white sauce was delicious and I even brought extra home. Anyways, the steak I asked for medium rare and it was more medium than anything. I need a pink center! The scallops were made nicely though. At the end of the dinner when chef Jeff finished making it for us we bid him farewell. I said thanks in Japanese and then he was like,” I’m Korean.” And walked away. Haha the way he said it was hilarious in his monotone like way. He was a good sport. It was just that the steak was so disappointing to me as it was hard, chewy and medium that I had to give it a 3 stars. Also the servers were mad at us for adding other friends to our table. We made reservations on a Thursday and were the only ones that did. The place was empty and they were mad that we said more were coming because they wanted to put strangers at our table. All the other grills were left open. They just didn’t want to have the chefs work or something. It was very rude of them for giving us such sass for that. Other than that, I had a great time.

Kobe was delicatessen disappointment. The salad dressing tasted Fruit Loops. The wonton soup had stale mushrooms and the meat looked like it was purchased from Walmart. I will not go back. Very overpriced as well.

I have to say that waiting for my girlfriend do her shopping in dolphin mall was quite fun. However, 6 $ for a large Asahi is not good. I had a good 7 piece hamachi sashimi and filet mignon. Sashimi was really good for the money. Quite fresh. Beef was very tender but had that over-aged flavor Over all 75 $ with a tip a way too high.

Best filet mignon and pink sauce. Better than Benihana and Samurai, in my opinion. Also not as expensive. Location is a bit off, since it is in Dolphin mall, so both parking and crowd are close to impossible to deal with, but if you find yourself going to a specific store here(which is how I discovered this spot) then it is worth visiting Kobe(no relation to the Orlando Japanese steak house restaurant chain.)

We are fans of Samurai and Benihana, so why not try Kobe? We frequently go to Dolphin Mall to meet friends(usually tourists from overseas), thus one night we decided to try it out. Unfortunately if you are used to Samurai and Benihana you will notice that Kobe is not exactly the same«thing». The selection is smaller, portions are not that generous, and overall the spices and taste is not up to par. We had good service and in the end it was a fun experience(we had kids with us), but a bit on the expensive side for what you get. Cheers!

Great lunch specials with gigantic portions, but definitely not the place to come if you’re really hungry, want to eat right away or don’t have all the time in the world. Spent an hour here for lunch the other day when it was pretty empty. Mostly a lot of waiting around. Staff appeared to be moving at snails speed. My husband and I came in starving, and to our dismay, we had to wait until there were enough people seated at our hibachi table before they began cooking our food, which took quite some time in itself. On top of that, for some reason, we were the last people to actually get our food on our plates. We had to sit there in starvation, while we watched everyone else, who arrived much later than us, eat first. I guess it’s to be expected at what I assume to be a touristy location such as this one. Overall, not a terrible experience, but far from a great one, as well.

My Husband and I are torn about this rating, we like the show put on at the hibachi grill, but its so expensive for what you get. I feel that anything ordered at the Hibachi can be made at home, however the sushi roll’s are decently made. Don’t forget to wash it done with some warm Sake.

I went last night for a girls night dinner. We were sited immediately at a hibachi table with two other couples. They took our drink and dinner order quickly. Drinks were served right away, but we waited at least 15 – 20 mins for a chef to start cooking for us. It appeared that there were only 2 chefs available and they were busy with two other tables. We were waiting for them to finish so one could come to our table. It’s a good thing that the six of us strangers got to talking and knowing each other because we actually ended laughing a lot and having a blast! This has never happened before as usually everyone just keeps to themselves. Chef Roger finally appeared and he he hilarious! He did a presentation and make great jokes throughout his cooking. It wasn’t the same old jokes and script that some Chefs keep repeating. We had the teriyaki chicken, filet might and fried rice. Everything tasted great. The dressing on the salad is so yummy! Everytime we go shopping at Dolphin Mall we always come to Kobe, as its a nice treat and you get a good amount of food, plus a show! Skip the food court. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 just because of the long wait for our Chef to start cooking. Skip the food court. You can get food court crap at any mall. Cheesecake Factory always has a 45 minute wait for a table. We walked out of Johnny Rockets last year when we saw 3 roaches running along tables and the counter.

This place was amazing and great service. Hibachi chef was funny and it was not awkward at all. The miso soup and the salad was delightful and fresh. If i had any problem, the manager/owners were always there to help. It looked like a family business and Even though it is food chain. The rate for the sushi and hibachi is the standard rate for Kobes all over the US. I love Kobe Food and Service!!! Please order the SUPER dragon roll.

This hibachi restaurant was surprisingly delicious and delightful to my palate. I went during lunch hours 11:30 am — 3:00pm. Prices are very good and quite inexpensive for such a sophisticated dinner. The hostess guided us to our table immediately, and our waitress took our drink and food order within minutes of sitting. The attention was great! We didn’t have to wait long before they refilled our cups. I ordered the Hibachi Sirloin Steak, Fried rice and lunch also includes mushroom soup and salad and you also have the choice of choosing between veggies or noodles. My boyfriend ordered the churrasco and chicken combo, which was absolutely fulfilling and required a to go box. The sauces and fried rice are very similar to Samurai. Which is a plus for me, since I really enjoy that restaurant. Overall, I gave this place 4 stars. I personally love great food and precise attention, and I think this restaurant contained both.

This place was whatever. It had the feel of cubanized sushi, if there is such a thing. There was not an asian person in site, which i found that weird, considering its a sushi place. Anyway, the service was just as bad as the food and it was way overpriced. They should change their name to, «Shitty Sushi and Steakhouse.» First and last.

Bad service & food… Never will go back there and I’ll suggest you the same… You could find the same food in the mall food court for half price. I ordered«avocado tuna tartar» from lunch menu and it was a paste tuna extremely spicy, nothing like what the menu said. Then the server was lazy with lack of costumer service skills. Told him politely to take the plate back to the kitchen and ask chefs if they could chop some tuna and make it a salad, he answered with attitude«we don’t serve that here, this is the only way. You can mix it with your entrée salad». Let that go and kept waiting for the food that it was not very good when it got to the table, portions were small for the price. Then at the end, the check had an 18% tip included (party of two) The server«Ismael» knew that he would get paid for his bad service so no problem, too bad for him because I usually leave 25%

A poor man’s Samurai, only it wouldn’t be affordable for said poor man. I’ve visited this location twice and also tried the Orlando location about ten years ago. Believe it or not, nothing has changed since then. In short, they do a good job of cooking the steak to your desired doneness, but it could benefit from a little more seasoning. The ginger steak sauce is the same as Samurai, but the shrimp sauce is vastly inferior. Lastly, the fried rice could also use a little more flavor(I think the secret ingredient at Samurai is their garlic butter). I’d give it a solid 3 stars since we also had a sushi roll that was pretty tasty.

A group of us came here to enjoy some Hibachi. Our chef and waiter for the evening were very nice and made sure that everything was cooked to order. Food I upgraded my steak and accompanied it with chicken and shrimp. They cooked the fried rice and vegetables and then served it on my plate. I was kinda bummed because it was then I realized that my rice and veggies would get cold by the time the chef finished cooking the protein. I really enjoy serving myself all the food on my plate so that I could smother that amazing sauce all over. The chicken was kinda bland and rubbery but the shrimp and steak were amazing.

Service sucks! There were only 2 tables outside with customers and it took the waiter almost 25 min before coming to take our order AFTER we told him we were ready to order. I had a Philadelphia roll and fried rice. The rice was not fresh and the food was just ok. They also automatically put gratuity on the check for lunch and it was more than I would have liked to leave
