Honestly the food wasn’t that great, the service was so slow I could go eat somewhere else and come back and i still would be missing my drink. I don’t know if it was because they were short on staff or what it was but I wouldn’t go back. The tables look filthy, yet the hostess told us to take a seat. Plus the gratuity is included and the server did not acknowledge is that. I have been to many Peruvian restaurants and I love Peruvian food but this place makes me feel like I wasted money when I didn’t enjoy my experience while dinning.

I think is just amazing, the waitress are very nice! Whatever you’d like they will get it, fast, cheap and amazing food. I’ve been in many Peruvian places but I had the best mixed ceviche.

One word… CHURRASCO! Delicious. I stopped by with friends on the way back from Ultra Music Fest. We all loved it so much day 1 that we returned back the next 2 nights :-p This Peruvian spot in the heart of miami is authentic to the max. Your best bet is the churrasco(marinated skirt steak) and the Peruvian specialty, rotisserie chicken. For the sides, get the manduros(fried plantains) and yuka(french fry like consistency starchy carb– perfectly accompanied by the homemade yellow peruvian pepper sauce). The mouthwatering portions are HUGE and filling not to mention price point is very reasonable. Talk about ULTRA amazing! I still have dreams and cravings for this stuff…

Worst example of Peruvian Food in Downtown. The only thing they are good for is Café Con Leche and Empenadas. There soup is just OK, too. Ordered 2 soups and 2 orders of Rice. Ordered at 2:10… They are RIGHTACROSSTHESTREET… At 3:20 they gave my wife an attitude and said it would be right there. At 3:49 it was still not here. Called back and they said it left already… A few moments later it was here, but they didn’t run the credit card and demanded cash. I told them I’m not giving them Cash cause I used a Visa Giftcard and can’t tell if they charged me already or not… He made a scene in our Lobby and left… With reviews about BUGS and ROTTINGFOOD, I would just avoid it as I will be doing from now on…

I found a dead bug inside my food today — all the way at the bottom which means I ate pretty much everything before I discovered it. WTF?! Disgusting.

I have been coming here for 6 years and I loved it until today. The service was bad and the wait staff was outright rude. I will not be coming back here.

La licuadora is a gem, super friendly staff and authentic Peruvian food. Lunch specials are great! Downtown folk hang out here, and you’ll oft see the same faces. I rec arroz con pollo, tallarin verde, ceviche pescado, arroz chaufa, lomo Saltado. really there is nothing you can’t go wrong with here.

About a year ago I ordered delivery and they sent me a rotten(yes, rotten) churrasco, the stench came through the bag. I called and they replaced it, so I chalked it up to a fluke. However, the belly wants what it wants and I just couldn’t think of a good reason to order from them again until very recently recently. After several deliveries(their food it’s pretty good and cheap when it isn’t rotten) they still disappointed me by changing my order of piononos because they’d run out — but they never called me. Sometimes the driver said would tell me they had run out or, if not, I called. I never made a big fuss, it’s a small business and what’s the point — the replacements were suitable. They kept doing it so the effort of calling back became tiresome — they don’t charge for delivery and their food is good and cheap, when it is not rotten. The last time I ordered from them, they(again) had run out of piononos and sent me a tres leches, a dessert I love, instead and that they had sent before. It smelled weird, but I tried it anyways. When I tasted it, it was fermented/rotten. I called to complain but the manager was not there and I left my phone number. Although I called again, and left another message, no one ever called me back. Obviously, La Licuadora has a systematic hygiene problem. I should have reported them to the Florida Division of Hotels and Restaurants. I checked with the DBPR and out of eight inspections, four required follow-up inspections — two of them in a row. Presumably because they failed those inspections.( ) Order at your own risk and, if you do, invest on some Pepto-Bismol and a good air freshener. Just in case.

I go to La Licuadora almost everyday. It’s the perfect place to go for lunch during a work week downtown. The prices are unbeatable when it comes to their lunch special which is a full Peruvian meal course. You can expect something different and delicious every day. They also have morning pastries like empanadas and tequenos at the best prices you’re going to find. Even cheaper than Publix. Their pickup speed is between 5 – 10 minutes. Their only notable weakness is the décor which could definitely get a makeover. But for pick up and delivery, this is the right spot!

Bad service! Girl on the phone couldn’t speak correct Spanish or English. After an hour waiting for my food… I called asking for my order“they said delivery guy had wrong apartment number” but never called to verified 20 minutes later food never arrived.

Their Pescado a lo Macho is really good. Portions are big and has plenty of seafood sauce covering the fish. Fish Ceviche is also quite tasty. The very important reason I’m not giving it more stars is because it’s not the cleanest place in the block.

Best place in downtown Miami for a morning café con leche($ 1) and pastelito. Lively counter service and curious people watching outside. Fresh fruit smoothies at $ 3 are also a steal.

We were walking around in the morning and decided to stop to have breakfast here around 11:20am. We waited over 35 mins for a sandwich and by the time we got our food it did not have any flavor at all, all ingredients were very low quality, coffee was nothing but water and the tables outside were dirty. The staff is friendly but it doesn’t compensate for the mediocre food.

Used to be a great place for lunch. Lately the rice has been overcooked, the food not so well seasoned and not very good at all. Good luck!

Decent food. But worst service ever. Our server never even looked at me. When I ordered water she brought me bottle water and when I said I just wanted water in a cup(so I didn’t get the extra charge) she said they didn’t offer that. But then I see she brings out water in a cup to the group next to us… Also, I ordered a pollo saltado and she brings out a lomo saltado(which is a special for that day). I tell her I ordered a pollo but she insists I ordered a lomo, so I just accept it because it’s $ 2 cheaper according to the special for that day. When I get the bill, I am charged the full price for lomo which is way more than the pollo. The entire time when I am asking about the bill, the server keeps doing her thing at the register without even glancing at me. The guy who I think was the owner was a little nicer but he should not have hired such a grouch for a waitress.

Came here for lunch before our event! It was yummy! We chose the outside seating so it was nice. We ordered several items and put the green sauce on EVERYTHING! Lomo o Saltado– It was soooo gooood! Fries and steak Arroz Con Mariscos– Fried rice with seafood, the portion was huge! Had to take the rest togo and it was still good! Tres Leche– it wasn’t too bad but the whip cream was too thick for me Coffee with milk– it was good & sweet here Our waitress was a bit feisty but i’m sure that’s just how Miami women are. Overall, everything was delicious here.

The food here is not that good, I find other places around to have better food than here like Mar y Tierra around the corner. However, I usually order the breakfast in here which are decent, cheap and done fast. Also, perfect place to have the on the go cafecito con leche or colada.

This place was a surprise — the best part of my trip to Miami! Really great food, really reasonable prices. If I accidentally found myself stranded in Miami, I’d hide out here until I was able to find a way out of the city.

Ordered delivery here with friends and were highly disappointed. The yucca fries were the best part. My fried rice with beef was gross. The pollo milanese was okay. My friend is allergic to seafood and her yucca was clearly fried in seafood oil but when we called to ask they ensured it wasn’t and were not apologetic or accommodating at all.

I visited La Licuadora while at Ultra Music Festival back in March. I came here when the festival was letting out at midnight so there wasn’t much open and the transportation lines were a bit long. I ended up ordering a Salad, Lomo Saltado with fried Yuca instead of french fries for a $ 1 more. I also had a Coke. This Peruvian place remained open after Ultra closed for a couple of hours. I didn’t have to wait to get a table. There was trance music playing on the street. It is a nice place to rest the lower back and feet after 7 hours nonstop dancing. It is also walking distance from Bayfront Park. The food is pretty tastey but the portions are smaller than what I am used to. But hey, beggars can’t be choosers and to find a restaurant open at 1:30 am in downtown not serving greasy fast food is a plus. I also must confess that I love fried yuca. The texture and taste was perfect. I aspire to cook my own yuca to that consistency. The food came quickly and the workers were pleasant. :-)

DOWNTOWNLUNCHSPOT La Licuadora is someplace that I won’t hesitate to have a Peruvian luncheon everyday. It’s nothing fancy, but their meals are surprisingly bountiful and authentic making one forget the minimus décor. Their multiple choices of lunch specials will make a lunch miser smile from ear to ear while rubbing his tummy. There’s a walk up coffee and takeout counter that permits the warm humid affternoon breeze to circulate into the back windowless dining room. Wait staff is most pleasant and never insistent on turning the tables. That’s not always the case with majority of downtown restaurants. Not unusual to have to ask more than once for the check.

From the outside looking in, the restaurant doesn’t look that appealing but I’m glad I ordered anyways. I ordered the pescado saltado to go and that was amazingly good. Normally when I’m eating Peruvian I go for the rotisserie chicken. The dish I got was kinda soggy due to the box being closed, so my fish and fries were not as crunchy as they should be. The fish was flavorful and lightly salted. While I was waiting I was looking at all the different types of food that the servers were bring out and they all look so appetizing. I definitely will be back.

I can’t believe I’ve walked past this place thousands of times(literally) and haven’t stopped in until today. I thought it was empty which deterred me from entering… but it’s not empty at all! You walk in and it’s like you’re entering a secret world filled with everyday people, a place that’s subdued and humble with Peruvian music playing in the background; if Ceviche 105 had an overshadowed sibling this would be it. We ordered the pollo tamale and arroz chaufa de pollo, both were great. The tamale had a bit of a spicy kick to it and the fried rice was a very generous portion. The second time we returned, we tried the ½ chicken with 2 sides and a bowl of chicken soup that’s HUGE. I mean, it’s like 4 bowls of soup in one. It’s deliciously satisfying and the perfect cure for a cold. The chicken was very moist and for the 2 sides we chose tostones & salsa criolla. Ten minutes later they said we couldn’t have the tostones as a side(there are a bunch of sides listed on the menu and it doesn’t list which ones you can have with the special), but we said just charge us for them — so it was a $ 2 addition. Overall, prices are very affordable and I definitely recommend coming here.
