CLOSED So, I went to get my German pancake fix this past Sunday and lo and behold, Le Café had closed(yes, permanently). It’s apparently being replaced with Segafredo Mozarella and Wine. I’m not happy.

You can never tell when this place is open or not. Calling their telephone sends you to a voice mail box that’s full! The hours on the door don’t match their real hours. You start to wonder about a place who doesn’t take care of the little big things, what’s happening in the back?!

We checked out Le Café for dinner one night since my wife had a Groupon. We found out by accident that on Wednesday if you order 2 entrees you get a free bottle of wine! The free bottle was a house Cabernet which was actually pretty good. I had the Steak Frits which for $ 16 was a great deal. The rib-eye was pretty large, juicy, and delicious. The hand cut fries were also good. The wife had the chicken pasta with feta, olives, and veggies. Also very good. I would say that Le Café is much better for dinner than breakfast, although there is a very small staff here(2 people) so if it starts to get packed you may have a long wait. The Wednesday deal with the free wine bottle is a great deal!

I went with some friends for a late dinner after an event, and first of all I was really impress by the cool décor. I felt like I was back in Barcelona, Spain. Happy memories. Since I was not really sure what to order, I had the vegetarian Quiche. It was warm and yummy, with a side salad. The place was almost empty(Thursday night), and the service was impeccable. Actually the blonde waitress was extremely nice, making recommendations without being ask. This is the type of place that I would recommend for a first date: charming, cozy, cool and good food. Making a mental note…

Went to this place for the first time this past weekend. Don’t even bother. I am a foodie, and i love French food and french Bistros. This is not French flavors at all. The place is in a little strip mall, when you come in, it is actually cool, good vibe and good decorations. They have live music which is always good. The singer was good, great voice. I just thought her singing bits were way too long. So if you want to have a conversation you actually cannot, only when she takes a break. The service sucked to say the least. We sat there with our water glasses empty for far too long and the service was slowwwwww, even though the guy that was our waiter was nice. The food is awful. Ok maybe i’m being a bit harsh, the appetizers(shrimp al ajillo and Baked brie) were really good, but the main course was bad. I had the chicken Marsala which was just plain bad, it was not made with a marsala sauce but rather with a bad brown gravy which tasted like it came from a jar. The potatoes were hard and tasteless. And my Husband’s steak was too hard. Not a fan of bad food and bad service. So not coming back.

They almost had me. Amazing ambiance, fresh squeezed orange juice, friendly service, extensive menu, great flavors, flaky croissant… all the components of a potential five-star review, but apparently the chef was distracted and my Eggs Benedict turned out to be hard-boiled eggs on top of croissant. I had been to Café Bonjour before. Those little things that make you reminisce about how little life has changed in over two years are astounding. I was browsing the vintage store across the street when I turned and thought to myself, «that can’t be the same place.» I then preceded to mobile Unilocal it and sure enough, it was the exact same place. I raced to my car and made an illegal turn into the tiny strip mall. I got out of my car in my hideous sweatpants and walked into the artistically decorated café. I dropped my heavy purse on one of their couches and preceded to plop myself next to my bag. The cheerful waitress handed me a menu and I was excited to know they serve brunch on Saturdays! I ordered my usual choice of Eggs Benedict, but asked the waitress if instead of english muffins I could have croissant, «no problem» she said. NOPROBLEM! she actually said«no problem», Jackpot!!! My order took a little while to arrive during which I took the time to doll myself up and put on a dress. By the time I got back«Mr. Benedict» on croissant was waiting for me on the table next to a glass of fresh(FRESH!!!) squeezed orange juice. But all good things must come to an end, the bacon turned turned out to be actual bacon, not Canadian(not actually bacon), which really threw me off and had to be removed from in between the eggs and bread. With all the excitement in the world I slid my knife though one of my eggs to enjoy one of the simple pleasures of life, watching the yolk run down and into my bread, but, alas, nothing happened. My eggs were hard boiled! How could this happen? How could my perfect meal be ruined by such a disappointing occurrence. What was the chef thinking? I said nothing, or did nothing about it, I finished my hard-boiled eggs Benedict and paid my check. «Was everything okay?» asked the waitress. «yes, everything was,» I said to her. She continued by asking if I didn’t like the side of potatoes, I shook my head and told her I was not really a potato person. She then informed me you can changed that said for a plethora of different options and that next time all I need to do was ask, then she smiled. I finished my juice and water and left, very disappointed, but I really do love this place, and I hope when I do return, the food will more than make up for this experience. Water and bread are complementary and also available during brunch and offered promptly after you are seated. Of course, you’re going to have brunch so you should probably lay-off the bread you little piggy!

I was introduced to this place as a friend of mine thought it was a good study alternative to Starbucks, which I totally agree. I actually have continued to come here as I like the environment… the music and artwork… and the espresso/coffee’s are good. The food on the other hand is just okay, I have been there for breakfast/brunch and lunch, very inconsistent in taste and nothing as ever wowed me. Overall a good place to have a drink, listen to some music, and read or talk with friends.

If I had a dollar for every picture a guy sent me of his«junk» I would have enough for a quiche, a cup of coffee and a German pancake at Le Café. This place is tres adorable with art-lined walls, a 3 pillar candelabra as le piece de resistance centered on their biggest table, and plush seats and couches. But it’s totally unpretentious and very welcoming. The two ladies that served us were quite nice and helpful. The coffee was fresh and refilled as many times as I’d liked. I ordered a Quiche Lorraine and it was FULL of ham. Not little bits but slice upon slice. It was a nice serving for about 10 bucks. My friend ordered a Vegetarian Quiche which he oooh’d and ahhh’d over the entire time. Thee most amazing item on this menu was the German pancake. It was share worthy. We ordered it as a dessert. It came topped with powdered sugar and served with a side of a lemon-type icing that was delicious. Tart and sweet over a egg soufflé, it hit the spot. The German pancake was less pancakey and more quiche-y but it was divine! They have very affordable breakfast served Monday-Friday for 5 or 6 dollars that come with coffee and juice. Their sandwiches look tasty and I can’t wait to come back and give them a try. Le Café you have Le goods.

Our clients selected this place for a meeting. Food was fine but service was craptastic. My water glass sat empty for an hour. There were two other occupied tables in the place. 100% unacceptable. As a local business owner in the same neighborhood I recommend restaurants to clients on a daily basis. I was hoping for a better first experience. I will not be rushing back.

Been here a couple times, and it’s a nice change from the usual scene. The service is hit and miss — always best when the owners themselves are the servers. The food on the other hand has always been very good. Sunday Brunch — the Bacon Eggs Benedict was fantastic! Careful — I think they are closed on a weeknight — not sure of which.

So… met with friends for Sunday Brunch here. Place is decorated with local art, very bohemian. The menu consisted of French-influenced foods, but here were my issues: Food took 30 minutes too arrive. The place was not that busy and all we ordered were breakfast foods, so it shouldn’t have taken that long. Bread was only presented to us after waiting 25 minutes. My friend had ordered the Eggs Benedict, and one of the eggs had not been properly cooked, meaning that the white was still clear, we had to send it back. Big no-no. Also, The Spinach and Brie Omelet consisted of only one thin slice of brie, which in my book, isn’t sufficient. I would’ve liked to give a better review, because the ambiance and people are charming, but the food was mediocre.

Great spot to grab a delicious café latte and post up with your laptop. I’d definitely come back if I need a peaceful spot to suck up some WiFi and get my caffeine on. The food options are decent, and there’s an outside area that’s comfy if it’s not too hot out. Staff is very friendly and are helpful to make sure you’re comfortable.

This was my second time here and I can honestly say that I love this place! Great food, staff and atmosphere. Above all, the food is good and priced right. Today, I got a combo, which came with a cup of carrot soup, a half Chicken Brie Melt sandwich and a small salad. There were several other sandwich options. They make them on toasted French bread. The combo’s aren’t on the menu, but they are a great value. Mine was just $ 8. If you’re on Biscayne Blvd., in the MiMo area of Miami, you should stop in. In addition to the casual dining area, you can eat at the coffee bar, or on the side patio. The staff is laid back and accommodating.

Went a few times last week to work with a group and use the free WIFI. We had some good ideas and the WIFI was fast, so in that regard Le Café was good. As far as the food, atmosphere, service, price, all can be described with the word«ehhh.» If you need WIFI, choose Le Café. If you need anything overly memorable maybe choose something else. Though, where else has free WIFI anymore? Think that might earn them a little extra on the rating. Can I give a half or quarter star? Maria? Answers?

I like it but I just don’t love it. Nothing here is bad however, nothing is crave worthy. I wouldn’t wake up and think how I really want to go to Le Café. Instead, it’s somewhere I’d probably go for drinks and appetizers or a quick solo bite. The staff is polite and quick although not very attentive.

Le Café is one of the most unique places I’ve been to. It has a rotating collection of art(and the art is truly amazing), great coffee, great selection of beer, and awesome food!!! The live band was a fantastic accompaniment to the food and drinks. It was not overwhelming at all and you could carry on a conversation despite it. I truly loved the artsy vibe! It’s amazing that there’s a place like this in Miami. It feels like you’re in another city! It’s a little bit pricey but who cares!!! Just sit back, enjoy the music, the food, and the company!!!

I think I’m in love with this place. It reminds me of a café I’d find in San Francisco, so to have a place like it down here makes me giddy. I adore the artsy yet relaxed vibe this place has. I’ve been on a sangria kick these past few weeks and Le Café has their own delicious batch that definitely hit the spot. Add to that the great artwork, tasty food, and vintage furniture to round out my favorite new hangout spot. It kind of reminds me a bit of South Miami’s Joffrey’s but more updated. The chicken salad sandwich was a treat and whatever dressing they put on their side salad is delicious. A bit tangy but oh so tasty. Overall very fresh and simply cuisine. I also recommend their chocolate cupcakes. They may be small but they pack a heavy chocolate-y punch. I’ll definitely be back to try out the coffee selection and brunch menu.

More information: Food: Freshly baked croissant and baguettes — but they’re not laid out for everyone to see. $ 2 each. Rest of the food consists of few French fare, pasta, crepes, quiches, salads, sandwiches and desserts. They also have a variety of wine and coffee(iced and hot). Brunch also offered a la carte. Atmosphere: Nice«book» environment slash café. Close resemblance? Dynamo Café possibly? But with less books. Still — free wi-fi an added plus. Delivery available. Some food products can also be found at the Vagabond Farmer’s Market nearby. Hours: Monday: 11AM to 5PM Tuesday to Friday: 11AM to 11PM Saturday & Sunday: 10AM to 11PM

I’ve always driven past this place and wondered about it. Like most spots in strip malls, I never stopped to check it out. I guess I have an aversion to strip malls. At any rate this restaurant/lounge does a great job in making the atmosphere cozy w/lots of warm tones and comfy couches inside the café and outside. They offer a lot of entertainment, I think mostly Thurs-Sunday. Check out their website. Happy Hour: 2 for 1 everyday from 5−8pm. I had the meatloaf w/mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables and it was quite good. They do brunch here too!

Le Café offers a wide variety of French-inspired meal options in a cozy setting, complete with a featured artist’s works hanging on the walls, and a cute patio outside. The menu includes your standard French bistro fare — they have onion soup, baguette sandwiches, quiche, and even moules frites. Their sandwiches and salads make up the bulk of their menu, and are priced incredibly reasonably. The prices go up as you head into the entrees. My lunch companion and I both opted for the chicken brie sandwich, which came with a simple salad dressed with a mustard vinagrette. The whole meal was delectable! The salad was the perfect amount(to leave you wanting more), and the sandwich was hot(it had been pressed on a panini-style grill), so the brie had melted into the chicken and was perfectly ooey-gooey. The baguette was great and extra cruncy since it had been pressed. Overall, Le Café is a great place to pop in for a quick weekday lunch, or to enjoy a more leisurely experience later in the day or during brunching hours on the weekend. Check it out!
