Brought the Man here, because I’m a good wife. We had seen MOAF on TV, and he’d heard of them in his online travels buying and selling dolls… Ahem… I mean«Action Figures.» ;) Their Storefront is in the«Warehouse District» in Perrine, between the Turnpike and US1 off of Quail Roost Drive. Cheap rents, to be sure, but it’s kinda tricky to find and get to. Inside, it kinda looks like the Man’s Attic. Piles and Piles of boxes of 1:6 Figures from Hot Toys and Sideshow and those others I can’t remember. Carded figures from Hasbro and Mattel. Parts for 1:6 figures, too. A few displays, some vintage stuff, mostly new stuff. Everything stacked to the ceiling, hodge-podge style, with no «Categories» or rhyme or reason.(There isn’t room enough for that, even if they’d tried.) It’s a vintage toy fan’s man cave, though. That little kid in you will come out. You’ll find Star Wars(duh) and Star Trek. Doctor Who and GI Joe and Disney and ThunderCats and Smurfs. Bobbleheads, too. Since I am now pretty familiar with the pricing of these Collectibles, I can make a fair comparison to online pricing. Their prices seem fair and comparable to the big online distribution sites, and you’ll save on shipping(But you’ll pay tax.) Also, upon finding some imported Japanese Disney figures, I used my trusty Red Laser iPhone App to compare prices, and MOAF was actually LESS than eBay on these. So, for a thrift-store style of digging through your collectible fetish and hoping to find a good deal on the one you’re looking for, MOAF will do nicely.

I’d heard of MOAF from the Sideshow Freaks board and even browsed their website a few times, so when I was visiting South Florida I made it a point to stop by and check them out. Located in a non-descript warehouse district in Homestead near the turnpike and South Dixie Highway, their«store» is really nothing more than a very small showroom that is jam packed with collectible action figures, including high-end 1:6 scale figures and 1:4 scale statues from Sideshow Collectibles, Hot Toys, Medicom and Enterbay. They have several Detolf displays showcasing some of the figures for sale including some nice custom made figures from The Matrix and The Dark Knight which didn’t look like they were for sale but were still impressive to see. They also stock a fairly good supply of 1:6 parts including base bodies, clothing sets and accessories for all of your 1:6 hobby customizing needs. You will also find a good amount of collectible toy action figures from NECA, Tomy, DC Direct, Mattel, Hasbro Gentle Giant and many other cult licenses here including Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, Doctor Who and others. They have a few vintage carded G.I. Joe figures including a giant boxed F.L.A.G.G. aircraft carrier which I’d always wanted as a kid for a whopping $ 1500. Stacks of Bobbleheads, and pop vinyl toys. It’s difficult to maneuver around the shelves and stacks of boxes but they’ve got the goods. The prices are about par with what you would find online from other sellers like Big Bad Toy Store, Entertainment Earth, Cornerstore Comics and Sideshow Collectibles. I thought some of their prices listed on their website were a bit high which is why I generally order from those other places. If I lived near Homestead I would probably come here frequently to save on shipping costs. It was neat to check out but they would probably do better if they were more visibly located instead of hidden away in a non-descript warehouse district.
