I had an incredible experience here, start to finish. I made an appointment and was running slightly late(Miami traffic). I called in to ask if they would need to reschedule me and was given a leeway of 5 to 10 minutes. Not recommended, but considering the circumstances. I got to the store and was greeted by Rosa, whose smile beamed as she said, «You made it!». I apologized for being late(5 minutes) and she wasted no time to prep me for the exam. I sat with the Doctor, who is incredibly friendly and thorough. I had my exam and have never felt so visually fine tuned. We discussed lens wear and options, this man is top notch. He suggested I not rush into buying contacts until I had a chance to try the new lenses and prescriptions. I feel this is relevant as other reviews claim them to just«want to sell». Truthfully, I could have been pushed to buy a lot more. I was now back with Rosa as she was processing my prescription. I have a hard time with glasses as I have a wide head. Rosa stepped from the back of the desk and spent more than an ample amount of time with me. Showing me options, adjusting and offering solutions. She really went out of her way to make me feel that she was focused on my requests. I asked her for her advice, and truly felt satisfied with what I selected. To be honest, I have gone to other vendors in the past. This is my second time with this Optical World location, and as a Miami local in the customer service industry, my experience has always been top notch. Kudos, Optical World, you have a customer for life.

My husband had a problem with his eye glasses during warranty period. After complaining to the manager that they were defective, the manager got upset but finally he was able to solve the problem and replaced the glasses. Now he put us in a black list!!! I went to get a new pair of glasses and the employee advised me that If I want to buy there, I have to speak to the manager. It seems that he believes that their glasses are free and the manager chooses with whom to do business!!! I will take my business somewhere else. Be aware that if you complain about defective glasses during warranty, you will find resistance to help you and that you will be in a black list. Worst customer service!

Walked in to see if they can tighten a screw in my glasses. I have european frames. My glasses also had another issue with one of the folding pieces were kinda loose. what do I get in return broken glasses. The guy bent the titanium in my glasses to «adjust» them, a day later the titanium snapped on my frames. Careless workers they tightened the loose screw but could have just come back to me and said hey we cant fix the other part. but no just lost $ 500 glasses that are not repairable. I would never buy anything from this store or ever take anything there for repair. this is not a high end store this is lowest of the low. i would never trust buying high end frames for them to just break them

Business must be booming if Optical World can afford to walk customers. Young man at the counter couldn’t be bothered to look up my girlfriend’s insurance carrier, so we drove down to LensCrafters at the Falls, where they were happy to look up her insurance. They got our business for good.

My experience with these people was terrible. They made me wait over two hours to complete my exam, while they saw walk-ins instead of attending to me even though I had an appointment. I asked them to call me back to schedule an appointment twice, no one ever called me back. They took my payment and would not give me my prescription; I had to get my insurance involved. I had to find a new doctor and pay the fee again(it was worth it). They seem to specialize in high end customers mostly foreigners who come to Dadeland Mall to shop and spend a lot of money. They are not suited for a long term relationship with local patients. Also their equipment is dated, they apparently don’t keep up with new tech. Avoid this place…

Optical World in Aventura Mall WILLNOTMATCHPRICES. That caused me to realize they were overpriced. I researched it … They are double what the manufacturer recommends we should pay and they want you to pay it because they think you have no options. This is why much bigger companies than Optical World are not around anymore. It’s obviously being run by out dated thinking. Their greed will see them go by the wayside very soon. Hey Optical World, it not sell for a high profit vs sell for a lower profit, it’s sell for the lower profit or go out of business. You call your customers ignorant, illiterate fools by thinking they are too stupid to go on-line and price items directly from the manufactures. Ray-Ban, Italia Independent, Etc, suggest we NOTPAYMORETHANTHEIRFULLRETAILPRICEANDYOUAREGOUGINGYOURCUSTOMERS. You refuse to match them? THEMANUFACTURERSUGGESTEDRETAILPRICE? Really? You will have to match not only that but advertised Internet pricing or you will lose your business. I tried to defend you against nightmare customer service stories from colleagues and friends but I’m joining those who know. Optical World is not for the customer. They don’t get that we have the last word, not them. You say no to us and we say no to you being in the malls we support. Bye Bye Optical World.

I’m going to keep coming back here. ENVIRONMENT: it’s a small store located in the back of the mall. It’s clean and functional. PRODUCTS: A small but great selection. The small selection is actually better because the store only carries current styles. PRICE: I cannot compare prices because this is the first time in 10 years I bought glasses. Military have always provided me with glasses. SERVICE: this is the reason why I will always come back. I went to lens crafters first and they barely talked to me. Rosa that works at optical world was very accommodating. I did not know what I was looking for and she spent the time to figure out what was perfect.

It doesn’t get any better than Optical World. There is a reason they have been so successful over the years — top notch service, incredible selection and genuine, intelligent people to assist you in store! I personally have shopped at more than one of their locations and have ALWAYS had an A+ experience. I highly recommend Optical World to anyone I know and have been proud to send friends and family in over the years. My experience at Optical World was like a roller coaster(ups and downs) but the selection and service I got from one of the employees kept me from rating a single star. They have my favorite brands there, i.e. Tag Heuer, Mont Blanc, Cartier, Prada, Porsche Design, etc. and an endless selection. I’m very picky and indecisive(bad combination) but the staff was very patient in helping me select the perfect eyeglasses and Rx sunglasses. The store manager and Oscar worked really hard to get me the best deal by combining my insurance(VSP) with in-store promotions. I ended up choosing rimless Tag Heuer eyeglasses and Prada sunglasses. Here is where things went sour: I picked up the sunglasses but they were the wrong shade so they had to take them back. One week later, I come to pick them up and one lens is a full shade darker than the other lens! So, that was another wasted trip. While I wait for those, I come to pick up my glasses, try them on, but something doesn’t feel feel right. It turns out, they were not the right size lenses. I asked for 50 mm wide lenses but received 54 mm wide lenses. Because these had to be made in a special offsite lab, that was another two weeks lost. Finally, one month later, I receive my sunglasses and eyeglasses and they come out perfect. What upset me was I didn’t get an apology or any type of compensation for wasting my time. Even something as cheap as a lens cleaner would have been a nice gesture.

After going to a completely different Dr’s office, and seeing what GOOD service is like, I stand 100% by my original post. Optical world didnt even BOTHER to fit my glasses to my face & omitted a BUNCH of tests to my eyes that would’ve determined I had DRYEYES. I have made very sure that NONE of my eye glass wearing friends go here.

Optical World is the best place to go for an eye exam, hands down. The store always carries the best selection of glasses with all of my favorite designer labels, and the customer service is incredible. The store is a family owned and operated business and you can tell: they make you feel right at home! I have never had a better experience with an eye doctor and I can’t wait to go back!
