I don’t ever actually seek help when shopping so I can not speak on behalf of all other employees of this store but the Dominican Guy who was my cashier was the exact definition of blatant lack of customer service. He had me standing waiting for him to get off the phone so I could pay for 10 min — I let out a sigh when he wouldn’t get off the phone and when he finally did he asked«are you ok?» I was shocked and I said yes. He said«are you sure?» I frankly couldn’t understand his attitude. When he finally finished scanning my three items he said you can pass the card now, completely disregarding the fact I had my hand extended with cash. He then seemed bothered that he had to change the transaction. Usually cashiers ask you the form of payment — not he. He was a bully for no apparent reason, beware.

I bought $ 220 worth of uniforms yesterday but realized that Tax Free week started today. Since I happened to be in the mall again, I walked into the Gap store in Dadeland to ask them if they could ‘return’ or ‘void’ yesterday’s transaction and re-charge me for the items so that I can take advantage of the tax-free holiday. Vicky, the manager first sent a message through the girl at the cashier that didn’t know how to explain to me that it couldn’t be done. I asked to speak directly to Vicky and I asked if they could do it even though I didn’t have the clothes with me. First she tried to say that she couldn’t give me a price adjustment which I understand. I told her that what I needed was for the transaction to be returned and charged again and she actually said that she would take too long because I had bought about 20 items and if my receipt was smaller she would do it. As I looked around the store and saw nobody but me in it, I sarcastically said ‘would it be better for you if I went home picked up the clothes and came back to the mall?’. To which she obliviously said yes!!! Vicky darling, find a new career. Customer satisfaction is not even an idea that crosses your mind so why bring down Gap with you???

The Baby Gap at Dadeland mall closed and they merged with the Gap store located between Nordstrom and Macy’s. The whole back portion of the store is now devoted to baby clothes, which means they have a much smaller selection of both men’s and women’s clothing. And less baby stuff since they now share the store. Also, the last time I was there it smelled just like my parents house did after hurricane Andrew. It seems like they have a bit of a mold issue. I brought it up to an employee and she seemed to not be bothered by it. I hope she’s got good medical insurance.

This store the really big! They have all the collections that Gap offers to the women side. The staff are okay – they are polite. I honestly, don’t come here often unless I have too because they tend to have a bigger collection of women products compared to The GAP at The Falls. Parking here is a situation because not everyone wants to park on the highest level in the garage.

This is by far the best GAP in town. The customer service is great here. They always have great stuff in the clearance section!

What can I say? I love the gap chain: Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime and Gap. Love them! I’ve been to the Aventura, West Kendall, International Mall and the Dadeland Mall locations. I prefer the Dadeland Mall location. I think it is one of the biggest and most varied locations for Gap. The service is always great and everything is organized. I have found Gap to be great for work-wear and outerwear. I also love their shoes and bags. Their collections are always clean and outdoorsy. They have a great selection of undies too! My bf really likes their jeans too. Very clean and comfortable, like all their clothes. I think Gap just stands out from the other stores in that their style is very clean and comfortable. It’s always been that way and they are truly great at it.
