Great place located in the back of Wood Tavern. The selection is just right: one of each meat and a vegetarian option that doesn’t suck. I was a little afraid moving down from Chicago that I wouldn’t find a lot of great Mexican here. I am glad to say I was wrong.

I really like the idea of having a taco joint inside the bar, and as much as I wanted to love the tacos(based on the quirky counter and cool feel), they were just OK. Thankfully, there are plenty of jared spices and sauces available, which make these tacos more enjoyable. However, without the added kick, these tacos are a bit bland and leave you wanting something more. Perhaps I’m expecting too much from a taco stand in the middle of a bustling bar? … At the end of the day, if you find yourself at Wood Tavern and you’re hungry, but only want a snack, Panchos will hold you over.

Decent tacos and really tasty quesadillas for an affordable price at my favorite bar with reasonably priced drinks and many beers to choose from with amazing music and a great atmosphere? Sold!

Great, cheap drinks. Food is perfect for price range and atmosphere but could use more work into it. Meat on tacos was a bit flavorless and bland. Still, the place is great. Great, funny bingo and food ambiance.

Hanging out at the Wood Tavern and got a little hungry so I ordered a couple of tacos. Loved the concept, but the tacos were dry and flavorless; a bit lukewarm as well. Hoping they’re having an off nite. Still curious about the Taco Tuesdays… I’ll modify(if needed) when I return…

How often is PT ignored on its own and just absorbed into the hipster-dom of Wood? How rude! PT is its own business, serving up its own spin on Mexican flavor… but staying true to the hipster-in-pearls-and-a-walker vibe Wynwood’s known for. I mean, c’mon. You’re eating tacos out of station wagon. No amount of skinny jeans, ironic mustaches and PBR can come close to the hipster full house that is food out of a car(trucks are 2008). Even though the word ‘taco’ is in the title and I, invariably, order them(chicken or pork), I always wish I’d ordered the quesadillas… and I never do. I don’t know why. The tacos, no matter how many I order, never seem to satisfy my hunger but the piping-hot, cheese-filled goodness of the quesadilla always seems to give me food envy. Despite writing the previous, you can put good money on me getting the tacos. Each taco comes with onion and cilantro and at a couple of bucks a pop, you won’t break the bank chowing down on a set. Just be prepared to wait. As mentioned, PT is set up in the back of Wood and open late. That means there’s a line for people who’ve been drinking for a while(I presume) and they want food. A lot of it. The service behind the dashboard ranges from nondescript to ‘typical Miami’ but this isn’t a walk in & out sort of joint. It’s a scooped-put car that serves cheap tacos. Expectations, people. Speaking of expectations, expect to go to town on the various hot causes lying about. Get a bunch of tacos so as to experiment with what suits your taste buds best. Or, you know, just eat a lot of tacos. I won’t judge.

Located in the back of the Wood Tavern in Wynwood, Pancho Taco makes great tacos for only a couple bucks. $ 2 tacos and $ 5 quesadillas are tough to beat. Highly recommend going with the Carnitas(pork). On Taco Tuesdays, tacos are only a buck … three of these are more than enough food for an adult. The Wood Tavern itself has a nice beer selection and cool patio area with picnic tables. Overall, I recommend checking out both places … Hipsters Rejoice !!! Simple, fresh and delicious! I had a quesadilla and a few chicken tacos… the chicken was nice and moist, topped with a salsa verde and fresh cilantro. It wasn’t anything fancy(…it’s being made in an old station wagon), but it sure was, well, perfect. I couldn’t get enough of the salsa verde, it’s what MADE the quesadilla so rico! Without that salsa the quesadilla would have been plain Jane. I’m not a hot sauce fanatic, but the selection of hot sauces were a nice addition to the taco tasting fun. I arrived fairly early on a Friday evening, so was able to grab a table for a bunch of friends perfectly positioned between the Pancho’s Tacos and Wood Tavern’s beer selection. The tacos are all outdoors… open-air, so it’s definitely weather dependent! …just keep that in mind when planning your evening adventures during Miami’s summer!
