So my initial impression when I walked in was that it was super cute and super divey. Drinks were good and cheap and bartenders were awesome ! They had pool which my hubby loved so that kept him busy and I must say it was the best karaōke night I have ever been to! Most Random crowd of people which made the songs awesome ! I was not crazy about the the smoky smells on my clothes and in my hair when I left but that’s part of going to bars ! The only other thing I would change is I wish they had some drunk munchies and they only take cash which was kind of annoying. But we had a blast and would go back for sure ! On a full stomach next time and hit up a bank first !

This place is a true classic! And you never get the same experience when you go here! The crowd is awesomely mixed with young and old, and every type of person you might find in miami. People from all walks of life can get into this place. The drink prices are reasonable and the vibe is unbeatable. If you go on a karaōke night, the place will be packed(usu that tues thurs and sat I believe). Any other night there’s a good sized crowd but not nearly as packed. If you’ve never wandered into this gem of a miami bar, don’t keep pushing it off

I don’t ever go to bars, but my best friend took me to seven seas and I fell in love! The ambiance was really cool and comfortable, and people really friendly. I went on a Saturday night, which we all know is karaōke night: D! The crowd is very involved and supportive with those who go up to sing. Yes they allow smoking, but I hardly noticed the smell. I think the only downside(which I think everyone will agree) is that it’s a very small space, so when it gets packed, it can get a little hot and sticky. But if you don’t mind that sort of thing then this place is absolutely perfect! Will definitely go back very soon!

This is a dive bar and possesses all one would expect from such an establishment, except for one crucial thing: they water down their drinks… alot. I had two shots of Patron and two vodka tonics within about 90 minutes and was still stone cold sober… and I am not a regular drinker. I walked to the sports bar on the next block, had a few shots of Patron(for about half the price) and was properly buzzed. Also, I am a former smoker. I went here for karoke to celebrate a friend’s birthday and eventually gave in and had a few cigarettes. Days later, I still feel physically awful, can’t get the smell out of my hair or clothes, and deeply regret it. I would consider coming back(after first spending some time at the neighboring sports bar to drink), but I just can’t deal with the cigarette smoke anymore. The crowd was fun and unique(exactly what I expected) and I had a great time, but it’s time for either a non-smoking section and for the love of all that is good and right and just in the world of alcohol, DON’T FREAKIN’ WATERDOWNTHEBOOZE!

7 Seas — a gem near blue lagoon and coral gables. Melissa is AWESOME and the vibe is very laid back and fun. Will definitely come back!

Definitely a DiVE bar, it needs a little bit of cleaning up, therefore I give it 4 stars. But the vintage style is on point. The people that go are quite amusing and you WILL have an amazing time as you observe the crowd and sing. Do be aware, you will step out smelling like an ash tray, but its well worth it!

Holy smokes! Definition of a dive bar. Karaōke nights are a blast. Fair drink prices. If only we could do something about the smoke and the stink. Had a good time, but can’t get past the smokiness.

Almost 2 years ago, for 2 nights and 3 days, I was given a tour of Miami Hot-Spots that became known as the«I DON’T KNOWWHERETHE F&CK I’M GOING» Tour hosted by Natasha A… My arrival in Miami on a Friday night was along the lines of «Arrival at Natasha’s home… dropped off my bag… got into her car… got yelled at for asking where are we going». From this point on, my weekend was planned(without my input) for everything from morning to middle of the night, all meals, all shops, all communities, all parks and all bars. So why am I wasting your time telling you about this and not sharing information about SEVENSEAS? Simply put… By the end of the weekend we visited 27 different establishments and the HIGHLIGHTOFTHEWEEKEND… you guessed it… SEVENSEAS. * * * SURPRISE ! ! ! * * * We leave one of the many weekend stops, it’s very late and frankly, I’m hungry, when Natasha says, «you’re going to love this next stop»… We pull up to a small building that looks somewhat distressed with what I think is ocean memorabilia… I’m thinking it’s one of those iconic seafood markets I’ve wanted to try like La Camaronera, Don Fernando or Garcia’s Grill. At this point, my mouth is watering like Pavlov’s Dog. As soon as you open that door, a cloud of cigarette smoke hits you like a truck… and I realize there is really loud music coming from inside. I understand now why the girls giggled at me when I mentioned food here… it’s another bar but not just a bar it’s the KINGOFKARAOKE bar that Natasha told me about in the past… apparently they either have no SEVENSEAS sign outside or I totally missed it. * * * LIKE A VIRGIN * * * So I don’t do Karaōke but I do love to watch… been going to Friday night Karaōke Nights at Coffee District in Delray Beach for years and have yet to ever sing a single song. I will say this though… of all the Karaōke bars I’ve watched, this is the only one I’ve gone to that EVERYONE stays involved all night long. Everyone there is there to either sing or watch others sing. Other bars, yeah, you go to watch but you end up talking it up with friends and barely even notice anyone that takes the stage. Since I don’t sing, I thought it was mighty cool that Natasha let me in on picking a song for her to sing… LIKE A VIRGIN… but first she a couple of other songs… granted this review is about SEVENSEAS, I should let you know Natasha kicks butt on the microphone. * * * HOMESWEETHOME * * * I’m still quite hungry but I’m having so much fun watching the Karaōke entertainment that I have no interest in leaving. Plus they have a full bar and a variety of beers so I’m good for awhile. I don’t want to mislead and say the inside is comfortable… it can be but the place gets very packed(at least during the Karaōke nights) and there are a limited number of tables. The interior is old and sketchy… run down but in a good way if that makes any sense. It’s truly a dive bar… including the smoke… apparently smoking is allowed and well, YOUWILLSMELLLIKEANASHTRAY when you leave. Granted I left that night and I smelled awful… actually our entire entourage smelled awful. For fun and great people this place is hands down the best of Karaōke and the best of Dive Bars in general… well worth the nauseating stinky clothes.

pretty sketchy place, smokers everywhere, parking is also sketchy almost rapey, oh and sketchy characters at the place getting to damn close and personal to your business, the karaōke is why people go here, you will hear blond girls sing f-ing problems, and rockers sing system of a down classics so it is very diverse becease there are oldish people singing songs you never heard but they know the lyrics like the back of their hand, if this sounds appealing to you, go for it.

Okay, so this review is LONGGG overdue. I have been going to this bar now for 3 years. My boyfriend introduced me to this place when we first began dating. Now we are regulars! This dive bar is great! There are all kinds of people and everyone is free to be. It’s one of the realest places I have ever been to. You will definitely make friends here. The bars busiest days are Karaōke nights with Bernie every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. Thursdays and Saturdays are typically the most packed. Karaōke with Bernie is a big hit in this bar. People usually come here just for that! The main bartender, Vanessa, is the sweetest. That girl works hard and never slacks off! With as busy as the night is going, you are promised to be attended within 3 minutes of waiting at the bar. She is QUICK! The Karaōke DJ, Bernie, is well known. He has thousands of songs to pick from. He is constantly updating his books and he usually always has the song you are looking for. Smoking is permitted inside the bar so if you don’t like smoke(like me) then you have 2 choices: Go outside between songs to get some fresh air, or just don’t come at all. On busy days it can get a little irritable, but you are welcomed to sit outside for a bit. There is no food being served; however, there is a Duffy’s right next door or 1909 Café can deliver. You can bring food inside the bar if you’d like. There is a pool table but I have to warn you: people can get a little competitive. There is a chalk board where you put down your names for the next game(Use it or you won’t be playing). Watching is always fun. Aside from seating inside, there are 3 tables up front with a few chairs and some seating in the back. Don’t be freaked out by the old toilets with plants… this is what 7 Seas is about. Now, for the more critical things such as cleanliness. Please do not expect to come here and think it’s any regular bar. This place is more about heart than looks. It is clean inside, it is just older and a little run down. But that is what makes it original. It is vintage looking with old school pictures and posters. There will be some random things like an old cigarette dispenser, shoes and scratch off tickets glued to the roof, a random piano by the back and an old school car up front with some lights on it. You will have so much fun here if you just let loose. The locals are awesome, the owners are great, the bartender and KJ rock and people are just free to sing whatever they’d like. If you haven’t been here, I recommend you try it out. it’s not for everyone, but for some it is the place to be almost every other day. Check it out! You may just fall in love.

You want to go to a dive bar? Well this is it. If you don’t wanna be seen this is the place to be. You want cheap liquor and beer? Come here. You want to sing to awful karaōke music? Come here. You want shitty décor? Come here. You want to leave smelling like cigarettes? Come here. You think you might need a Shot of penicillin after? Come here. This place is charming as shit.

I understand what some reviewers mean when they say this place has got character; however, character should not impede with safety and hygiene. The bar has some attractive qualities that other places do not. Unfortunately, I was unable to get past certain aspects in order to really get my groove on. First of all, this place has fire hazard written all over it. It’s the 21st century; smoking stopped being«cool» 20 years ago. If you want to poison yourself, don’t be rude enough to take others down with you. Secondly, during the few seconds of unanimous non-smoking, you could catch a breath of the unforgivable dust accumulation. Additionally, it was insanely hot in there and this is coming from someone that takes a sweater everywhere. Listen, the intent is to look like you don’t give a fuck, not actually disregard the well-being of your patrons. As soon as we entered I knew I was not going to be able to take it for too long. The music is obscenely high and the space is too crowded. Not to mention, most people were signing rock to the tune of «Ahhhhhhhh. Arrrrrrrrrrrr». Thankfully, we found this side room with some comfortable chairs which is a plus! The drinks were inexpensive but the selection was extremely limited. There is no food to pair with your drinks; I guess this makes it easier to get wasted on inadequate beer. I loved that there were several thick books with a selection of songs to sing from. I have done karaōke numerous times and never been given this many options. It really helps you pick a song. We didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes after handing in our requests to actually sing which is a super plus! I’ve had to wait longer elsewhere. Overall, this place is a lot of fun but I do feel that it should accommodate to non-smokers and non-drinkers. Hear me out: If SMALL compromises are made, frequent visitors would be inclined to bring in their friends that don’t smoke or don’t drink. After all, the main draw is the karaōke. I would suggest keeping both doors open at all times and having several fans to diffuse the smell of smoke. I would also suggest expanding the beer selection. The karaōke aspect of this place is great but it was difficult for me to get over the environment. I’m sure if you cleaned the place up, more people would become repeat customers.

I was completely taken back when I open the door of what seemed to be a dive bar, but I was not expecting a crowded dive kareoke bar! Everybody smokes inside the bar, I mean everybody! I don’t smoke, so to experience that I had to smoke(involuntarily) for one evening! Gotta admit that it payed off! What a great crowd, everybody sings, everybody cheers for the singers, and the music choice is great! They have no food whatsoever and only serve drinks(cash only!), so bring your stack of bills, your best voice, and don’t be shy cause everyone will cheer for you as if you were an American idol! Great to enjoy with a nice and fun group of friends, just like I did!

We came here this past Saturday night for a friends birthday to do Karaōke. I have to say it was a fantastic time and we’ll definitely be back. I know they do Karoake for sure every Saturday, as well as a couple other days during the week(I want to say Tuesday & Thursday). Let’s just get this out of the way — what everyone says about this place is a true. This couldn’t possibly be more of a dive bar if it tried. It’s old, it’s CASHONLY(something we didn’t know before we showed up), there’s a crowd of regulars taking up many of the bar stools, and you may have to set your clothes on fire if you want to get the cigarette smell out of them when you go home. That being said, if you’ve read up to this point this is probably the place for you. It also has all of the pros of a dive bar in spades — cheap drinks, laid back attitude, and a very mixed(any and all ages and stereotypes) fun crowd. It seems most people come in on Saturdays for Karoake. It starts around 10pm, and is run pretty efficiently by a guy who looks like he’d rather be anywhere else but otherwise does a good job. It does get really crowded as the night wears on — there’s not much room to move around left by midnight, and at that point if you place your song in the queue expect to wait at least 90 minutes before it’s your turn. My advice is to get there around 11, and if you want to sing more than one song give 1 each to the DJ every 15 minutes or so if you want to be able to do all of them before you head home. Bonus: there was a guy who wanted to sing Justin Timberlake’s «Mirrors» which wasn’t yet available so he sang it to the tune of «What Goes Around»…while holding his own mirror that he brought from home. Here’s hoping that guy is in there every Saturday night.

Friends invited us here for karaōke. When we arrived I was thinking oh man this is totally a dive bar, sketchy looking folks in the parking lot doing who knows what. We walk in and thankfully this bar is super small and our friends were all seated right by the entrance. The karaōke is in a corner as soon as you walk in with a very small area for the people who are brave enough to go up and sing. Most of the time I am not a big fan of karaōke because most people think they can sing but really it makes my ears sore. Not this place. I could not believe how many great singers were giving it a try. Beer is cheap, one pool table and I must say the restrooms for a dive bar were pretty clean. You have all kinds of folks in here, actually it is great for people watching. It was a Saturday night when we came and yes this place gets super packed. Be prepared to have some strange guys whisper in your ear as you are standing there with your spouse. Some do not seem to care, and luckily for him my spouse was unaware. We had a group of 8 of us and wow did we have a blast! It was so much fun that we stayed til they nearly had to kick us out. Walks from every life and age, plan on having a good time here as it would be impossible not to have fun. Also, the staff were all super friendly. See you again, great time!

I know I know… it’s a «dive bar» with a reputation for living up to its classification so I should not have been too surprised by the filth factor but I guess it was just a bit over the top for me. Having read the reviews, I did expect it to be grimy but I was not at all prepared for the revolting patch of mold growing out of one of the corners in the ceiling, the view of which caused one of my friends to throw up most of what she had eaten earlier that night. The fact that I was already drunk when I stumbled over from Duffy’s next door and still couldn’t avoid being grossed out by the place speaks volumes to me. I honestly would be afraid to see what disgusting details would reveal themselves if I were to get a good look at this place in the light of day. I can’t say that the experience was a total loss because my friends and I did have a good time here. The strange mix of décor certainly made for interesting conversation starters as did the equally strange mix of patrons that even included pseudo celebrity Nick Voss(Miami contestant on the first season of X-Factor who almost made it to the semi-finals). We went on a Thursday night for karaōke and enjoyed listening to the diverse range of vocalists who took their turn at the microphone. Having some genuine talent, Nick Voss certainly shined a little bit brighter than the rest but I happen to enjoy the off-key melodies as well. The drinks were decently priced but the selection was somewhat limited and although it used to be a seafood restaurant, the kitchen has since been closed and food is no longer served. If the place back then looked anything like it does now, I can only imagine that the kitchen accumulated a collection of health violations until it was eventually shut down altogether. Though some smokers probably appreciate being able to light up wherever they may stand, the lingering smoke and the overwhelming stench of old ashtrays was something I could only take in small doses so I did make numerous trips to catch a few breaths of fresh air on the patio where we found even more intriguing conversation pieces like the old Jet Ski and various toilets that are now serving as planters. All in all, I had a pretty good time but not good enough to convince me that I should return so if the mood for karaōke strikes again, I will most likely try and find someplace new to indulge it.
