Owner was very very rude. Won’t be going back. Nice seamstress I worked with, too bad owners poor attitude overshadowed this. Way over-​priced, they told me I would have to pay $ 50 something for a small adjustment in a dress, I took it to a seamstress in coconut grove who did an amazing job for only $ 12.

Carolyn and her team are amazing! I was a bridesmaid and needed a dress to be altered. I waited too long and only had about a week and a half until the wedding. Thankfully Carolyn was able to alter the dress (letting it out and hemming) in only a few days! She was also flexible with the dates/​times for my fittings. Seriously, I cannot recommend her enough!

I ordered a dress for my friend’s wedding kind of last minute. I ordered it a size larger based on all the reviews that the dress ran small. Well dress arrived and it was too big. The halter was way too long for my torso and baggy and the sides were a little big. Without enough time to return and/​or find another dress I found this little gem on Unilocal and immediately contacted Carolyn. I sent her a couple pics and got a quote and I was off to see her. Her shop is really cute and cozy and down the street from the Design District. She has pics of celebrities she’s done work for hanging on the wall (some big ones too!) I was in and out in 20 mins. Received a text that my dress was ready for pick up a couple days earlier than expected. End result was great! I’m bringing a few more things that need minor repair this week.

Carolyn and her Army of grandmas is the best I’ve ever seen. I felt like she and her team new exactly what they were doing at any given moment. They understood my vision for my wedding dress. I brought them something that needed some serious altering and they turned into a gorgeous gown even a celebrity would want.
They even altered my mothers dress and she was so happy with the results. That she went back 3 more times.
This team was incredible! Highly recommend them. They treat you like family.

Carolyn did my wedding dress for me several years ago and a bridesmaid dress last year. Unfortunately Unilocal took my review down (and my profile) so here I am again ;)
Carolyn is the kindest, most patient seamstress I know. She took incredible care of not only my dress, but myself and my needs and wants for my dress. I was unsure if I wanted sleeves added to my dress, so in addition to my alterations, she made sleeves for me to add to the dress as an option for me.
She truly is gifted and kind-​hearted. She really makes you feel like you are her only client. She’s just the best and so is her team!

Carolyn did my wedding dress, and it fit perfectly.
She also has done some simpler things — hemming, fixing broken zippers, etc, and they’ve all been lovely. I won’t ever use another tailor in Miami.

Words cannot begin to express how professional and talented they are. I came in town for a wedding only to discover that my bridesmaid dress needed to be let out, and I only had 24 hours to do it. Not only did see on set fulfill the request, the work was impeccable! And they knocked it out within the same day! Thank you so much for your quality work, professionalism and efforts!!!

Came in with my suit a week ago which needed some alterations before a big conference I needed to attend. Carolyn was highly recommended through Unilocal,so figured why not.
Carolyn not only was understanding of what I wanted but was able to get me the suit quickly.
Came in on Saturday to pick up the suit and as mentioned by others, she made the alterations she promised and made my suit look like new.
She is truly incredible!!!
Thanks Carolyn, I looked like the best dressed one at the conference. Definitely recommend her to anyone trying to give their suit a new life!

I found Carolyn through the wonderful reviews posted here. What a wonderful experience. Carolyn was able to alter and hem a complicated formal one piece pantsuit into a beautifully tailored fit. She was extremely fast to make an appointment with and the turnaround was as promised. The work she does is fabulous and I will definitely be back. Very convenient and easy to find. I highly recommend her–

I needed a very complicated dress altered and basically made and Carolyn and the staff were great. I was so pleased that I have returned to have another dress altered. Very affordable and efficient. I highly recommend this place.

Incredibly positive experience!
I called Sew On Set because I needed a short notice custom suit. Carolyn was able to fit me in same day for the measurements. She was a delight to work and converse with as she took my measurements and made recommendations.
I found her to be incredibly professional, astute and pleasant. I would highly recommend!

Very disappointed. I dropped off three dresses and a shirt, eight days ago. The owner wasn’t in and her assistant said she couldn’t give an estimate. I called about 5 days and spoke to Carolyn. She was short with me, unfriendly and seemed annoyed at the entire conversation. She never offered an estimate and I only needed one piece finished by Saturday. A hem on a dress that had come undone. When I arrived — the dress was done and I must say the hem looked nice — but the cost — $ 30! For a hem! Had I know, I would have done it myself. The rest of the estimated costs for repairs were outrageous. Thankfully they hadn’t been done yet. I took my clothes and will happily drive to my old seamstress. It’s worth the distance, compared to the unfriendly, overpriced Sew on Set.

I cannot say enough positive things about Carolyn or her work. I have used her for the last 4 years for all of my major tailoring needs.
She has done everything from remake suits to most recently, tailoring my wedding dress. Her attention to detail is incredible. She is honest and will give her opinion if something won’t work. She is reasonably priced as well.
For my wedding dress, she worked under a time crunch and didn’t charge me an extra cost. She is always courteous and responds very quickly to requests.
I highly recommend her for any type of alteration!

5 star service all around! Carolyn of Sew on Set is the best thing that ever happened to our wedding dresses. Due to our busy schedule, we emailed her midday to see if she could come out to our apartment at some point that week; she responded within hours and was at our place the following day promptly for our fittings. Since we left this kind of to the last minute we had our anxieties but she had both my partner’s dress and mine done within a week and a half and they look better than we imagined! Perfect fit for our big day and for a very fair price. With the wedding 5 days away in DC, we still have a thousand things to do but have Carolyn to thank for helping us cross «dress alterations» of our list with such ease.

Such a great place! Caroline is very professional and knowledgable. She helped me tailoring my suit for my wedding and she did a stellar job! She was very good with our tight deadline and even gave me little wardrobe tricks on how to keep my suit looking great durring the wedding…
Everything fits exactly how I imagined, I’m so happy with her work.

I got my wedding dress altered at Sew on Set with Carolyn and it truly was a pleasant experience. She and her team did a wonderful job as it was a big task. Not only was her team working with a dress that needed to be taken in and up, I also asked her to add cap sleeves in case I wanted those on the wedding day :). She’s very accommodating, patient and kind. She was just so much fun to work with and I can’t wait to go back with more stuff to alter.
