So we fly to Miami From Washington DC and decide to pick this lovely looking place to eat dinner, I decided to have the sea food combo. What I received was anything but good. It was like eating over cooked batter with dried out seafood in the middle. So naturally i complained. My waitress took my basket straight to the bin and threw the food away. The person in charged then proceeded to swear at me and tell her she didn’t give a flying f*ck. Absolutely shocking. With all the amazing restaurants in Miami, we managed to pick the worst of the worst.

Eek! Methinks not is right! The beers on tap/draught were skunked/flat. The service was horrible and there were little baby roaches on the bar. They messed up my order and asked if they needed to fix it. I told them no and that’s on me but the food was mediocre regardless.

Stay away from this place! It’s located in Bayfron Park and it looks super cool… but it’s not. My server was a joke. She barely noticed me after I wait for 10 minutes(only a few people were there so no, it was not crowded) and she brings me the menu. I had fish and chips. The food was so so gross and fat! The was oil everywhere and the fish was the cheap REFRIGERATED one that buy at Wal Mart. I’m next to a port so I do expect fresh food! She never asked me how was everything and as soon as I finished the brought me the bill(what if I want something else). I was shocked when I noticed that she already included 20% tip! I am the customer so I decide how much tip I want to leave!!! If the service is terrible and the food suck I want to be able to give you a lower tip! This place is ridiculous. If you want to have a good time stay away from this!

Great little spot. They have a HUGE selection of beers. I’m not a huge beer fan but they have fun options like strawberry beer. The ambiance and views are great. Looking forward to going back!

Ok… First the good… Beer… Lots of it on draft… Local Florida micro brews… But I grew up in Florida, caught and ate grouper my whole life… The grouper fingers were Bad! Obviously frozen… Very fishy and then over fried! My daughter who is 17 and loves fish was not eating them so I tried one, and just about spit it out… Really bad! No excuse for frozen bad fish in Miami!

Went for lunch, good touristy location right by the bay. The service was pretty slow. I ordered the fish n chips. The fish was very crispy but the fries didn’t have any salt on them at all, not a fan of that. I know I won’t be back.

I have been to Sharkey’s several times before over the course of 15 years and I have never been treated so poorly as I was on the 4th of January. I was actually talking a friend that I hadn’t seen for a while to a «cool» for a beer and to watch the Heat win on his birthday. We should have gone someplace else. The person behind the bar seemed to be on something… she was always talking at the top of her lungs. At first we just laughed it off as being funny. Then I inquired about the beer choices and this is where the tides began to turn. I was insulted when we talked about the different types of beer and received a tone of condescension when she asked me, «do you even know what hops are?» For her information, I lived in Germany for 6 years and I am a bit older than she is. She refused to let me read the labels off the bottles telling me «what’s the point if I’m not going to buy it». I took a break from the foolery and went to the bathroom. By the time I got back she has demanding that I pay… yelling, name calling, and cursing the whole time. My buddy told me that while I was gone, apparently she was accusing us of trying to skate on the bill. She called security and all. I asked to speak with the manager and to my surprise, she claimed to be the manager. The security arrived and assessed the situation. They listened to both sides and concluded the same thing.. the young lady was clearly under the influence. Other guests, a German couple witnessed the whole thing and also said that we did nothing wrong and that the«manager» was completely out of line. They too said the she seemed to be drunk. The security gave me the number of the Bayside Management to complain. I wasn’t going to mention it and let her be miserable alone but this bothered me. I remembered that… for evil to prevail, good men only need to do nothing. I have never been treated so poorly. Shame on Sharkey’s… you win, I will never return and will discourage any one else to spend $ 50 for such substandard treatment. Good riddens.

Waterside in the Bayside Marketplace, with an outdoor L shaped bar and tables. Despite the touristy location, the service is very good, and there’s an extensive beer selection(draft and bottled), including limited editions. It doesn’t feel at all like the typical tourist trap. But the place falls down on the food side: the burger is a thin, overcooked thing that clearly came out of a freezer pack, on flavorless bread. The ample serving of waffle-fries is fast-food grade. Come here for some drinks before, after, or during shopping, but eat elsewhere.

Touristy spot next to the bay with a WIDE selection of beers(bottled and draft). The bartenders are friendly and the view of the boats and yachts is entertaining(if not relaxing). Bar stools and table seating available. Ask for a tower of beer if your friends want to share anything on tap. Great value considering the location and view.

11⁄10 — Located in Bayside, I don’t need to tell you that this is a very touristy area. Although, Sharkey’s doesn’t feel like your typical tourist spot. Looks like it’s been here for years. We sat outside by the water. It was a beautiful Miami evening, perfect for a cold beer. They have an extensive beer menu. I ordered Wynwood Brewery«La Rubia». We did not order food so I can’t speak for their menu. The waitress and waiter were very nice and attentive.

Stopped by on a lark. I was on my way home after a long walk, and I decided to cut through Bayside. Passing by Sharkey’s, I looked up, and the Dolphins were playing the Jets in London, so I figured I’d sit for a spell, have a beer, maybe some food. Sharkey’s has TVs running along the entirety of the bar, so no matter where you sit, you just about have a TV to yourself. And, to make matters better, pitchers are $ 11 during football games, so you don’t much have to worry about forking over your kid’s college fund as in so many other places in the downtown area. Ordered some boneless buffalo wings. Nothing too out of the ordinary, but I guess I didn’t really order anything too adventurous, so it’s not like I could sit there expecting to get punched in the face by Jesus. I was happy with my order. Spicy and beer, that’s always nice. All in all, solid for quick pit stop. Not sure it’s the kind of place you’d sit and while away for hours on end, but it’s a solid spot to refuel. If you’re wondering: the Dolphins lost. Again. But I’m sure you’re not surprised.

A nice little spot in Bayside where they have many beers on tap. And s bunch of beers in bottle, it’s like a WOB. I like to go here after Fat Tuesday when I go to Miami Heat Games at The American Airlines Arena next door to Bayside Mall.

Ordered the Bratwurst, they served it to me raw on the inside, as in cold and uncooked. Waiting the next 12 hours to see if I’m going to get any food poisoning. I would avoid this place at all costs!

Best bar in Bayside Marketplace. They have over 300 beers from around the world, pretty good wine selection, and serve pub food till close. I love coming here to try out new beers as they constantly rotate their draft selection. As for the food, i’m a big fan of their gator bites, wings, and coconut shrimp. They never disappoint and pair well with the beer! Service is usually good and the staff is always very helpful when it comes to recommendations. I didn’t know much about beer when i first started coming here and the staff has broadened my horizons with some of their picks. They sometimes offer beer specials during sporting events, so it’s worth the stop especially if you’re going to a Miami Heat game. Great place to grab a beer and enjoy the marina view.

Avoid at all cost. This place had a decent selection of beer but they butchered the flavor of it by either not cleaning their glass cleaning system or their tap cleaning procedure. Out of 5 beers each one had a strong clay flavor to Which the bar tender shrugged his shoulders at. Great bottle selection if your into paying 12 $ for a dogfish head 90 min bottle. We paid 26 $ for a flight and and draft. They include 18% gratuity for awful service. Avoid at all costs !!!

Our server was very nice. After an annoying experience at hamburguesa, we decided to go here. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I was definitely digging the bar set-up too. Food is very disappointing though. I asked for what is the best thing on their menu, and we were told that the buffalo chicken sandwhich is the best thing they have … Welp, I shudder at the thought that the buffalo chicken sandwich is the best thing they have on the menu because that thing is something a lunch room cafeteria in a poor town will serve– bleh. Im not even going to explain the thing any further … Anyway, all in all, great service, great location, but terrible food.

(Note: This review is from March 2014) TERRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE!!! JUSTPLAINAWEFUL. The bartender got mad when we asked what kind of wings they serve(i.e. buffalo, bbq, etc.) and starts sarcastically naming ALL sauces they carry(including ketchup, bleu cheese, and ranch). Confused, my husband asked«you guys toss wings in bleu cheese» and the bartender replies no why would you want that?! Huh?! What?! We decided to order the wings anyway because it was the only place open late at night. This is our first time in Miami and were not aware that gratuity is automatically included in your bill(even if you get terrible service), so when we inquired about that the bartender then tried to «educate» us on visiting an international tourist spot, mind you we are from Las Vegas(an international tourist spot, and we know how to tip and we tip VERY well). Her educational comment tipped my husband over the edge and we told her to take the food and refund our money. Obviously she got really angry then and shoved the money back in my husbands hand and yelled at us to go away and don’t come back! FYI for those of you who have not been to Miami, this is typical customer service. Weird thing is during the day we got great customer service, but at night customer service is just flat out terrible.

Sharkey’s is a smallish bar located on one of the outside corners of the first floor at Bayside Marketplace. Though Bayside is more well known for being a tourist haven and a mecca for people going to/coming from the nearby cruise terminals, Sharkey’s is actually a solid bar with a bit of a divey, neighborhood watering hole feel to it. This place has a long L shaped bar, and also a decent amount of tables and chairs on the sidewalk. It offers a great view of the boat docks and bay that are right in front of this place, and every time I’ve been there, the staff have been friendly and attentive. Sharkey’s has a pretty impressive selection of craft beers at reasonable prices, and a food menu which mostly features typical bar food, much of it deep fried. They run drink specials when Heat games and other sporting events are happening which is a definite bonus. Like I said, the way this place operates and the way it’s set up, it feels very much like a locals bar. If I lived/worked downtown, I’d visit this place often.
