Love this place! Simple little restaurant but the staff is great, the food is delicious, especially the phở, and good prices, especially the lunch specials. –I’ve been here several times during lunch time and have also brought a coworker who is a picky eater and loved the food as well and keeps coming back.

Maybe it was an off day for them. I was super excited to try this place based off of the reviews. Tom Yum soup was okay. It could have used less grease and more lemongrass. Goi Cuon was not authentic. It had way too many carrots, no noodles, no cilantro/mint and this restaurant puts avocado in it? The sauce is some salty hoisin sauce. Papaya Salad was okay. Only shredded Papaya with a few peanuts. Red curry was a waste. I threw it away. It had that strong licorice favor that panang usually has. They gave me pad see ewe instead of pad kee mow. Phad Thai was average. Don’t waste your time. Food left me very thirsty, which means tons of MSG.

A hidden gem in the suburbs of Miami, this is the some of the best Thai food I’ve had in South Florida. Coming from the the Bay Area in California I would say this would hold its own against most places there as well, which is a high compliment for Asian food in Miami. As well the place had a decent selection of Vietnamese food on their menu as well. Excellent and present service as well. The pad thai was decent overall, the tom ka soup was delicious though when we asked for«spicy» the chili was added on top which means that they do not cook the soup with much chili(which is unfortunate but a safe bet in Miami), and the massama curry was excellent. Thai ice tea hit the spot as well. The Vietnamese ice coffee was served in the style of Thai iced coffee with a large glass and the condensed milk at the top but once mixed was passable, or at least better than what I would expect in Miami. The Vietnamese spring rolls(goi coun) were good too. Unfortunately though I was not able to try their phở or bun bo hue(spicy lemon grass soup) because I’m vegetarian. But I give them credit for having the later on their menu.

Miami does not have that many Asian restaurants so I am always on the look out for a good place. I went here with my roommate for dinner because she has recommended it. Arriving to the place, its a small place that looks like a typical Asian restaurant. We were promptly seated when we got there. I ordered the papaya salad, panang curry and Thai Tea. The papaya salad was very fresh. There was the option to have it with shrimp but because it was an appetizer for me, I just had it without and half the size. Now, normally Thai food is the SPICIEST Asian food known to man, I ordered it medium just in case, but it is just the right amount of spice. Same goes for the panang curry, it was just the right amount of spice. Came with a pretty orchid which gave it great presentation. I got the beef panang curry which was very flavorful. Then of course, I had to try the Thai Tea. I do believe it was either can or bottle and it was not freshly made but it was still very good. I then wanted dessert. I wanted the mango sticky rice but it was not in season. I opted for the fried ice cream instead. It was good, but it was a little too doughy for me. The staff was super attentive and they were really good at refilling of water. To me, that makes me believe they are paying attention to their guests if they notice our water cups are not full. So I believe this is a good Thai place, however, it is also a Vietnamese restaurant. I did not try any of the Vietnamese food but I will try later. I did however, thought the prices were too much for the Vietnamese food. Even in Miami.

Siam Bistro is a restaurant I keep coming back to. I had the volcano chicken at 3 different restaurants in the last month and, by far, this one was the best.

Okay. So this place is not your typical Los Angeles Thai place even though the owner is Thai and immigrated to America. The seafood tom yum soup was not what I had expected, in a bad way, the broth was fairly clear, and there was barely a hint of lemon grass. But nonetheless, it was tasty and satisfying. The Pad Thai was good. The BBQ beef was also good but again, not your traditional Thai food as some would expect comparing to Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. They didn’t have any mango sticky rice because they claimed that mangos were not in season: this is freakin Miami, mangos are always in season, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. The owner’s story was published in the menu and said that he spent time living with a Vietnamese family in Miami when he first came to Miami. Yet when we requested to eat our meal family style(which includes a tub of rice typically for sharing among everyone), we were told that rice was only served on an individual basis by the cup. We had to convince the owner to put 5 cups of cooked rice into a large bowl so that we could all share and charge use accordingly. I was pretty upset about this: if he really lived with a Vietnamese family then he would have understood what we were asking for from a family meal perspective. But again, the food was good, not great. The phở was good to my surprise. It does have a Thai fusion to it. Their phở comes with garlic bits in it and smells of it. After trying it, i concluded that it was pretty tasty! Score. Now for the service. Oh my goodness, the service. If the owner is reading this, the one young male waiter with the tattoos working Thursday lunch needs A LOTOFTRAINING or be removed from his position. Also, the owner could use some common restaurant courtesy: when handing out napkins, don’t take them back because your poorly performing waiter just dumped a huge stack of them on the table. Also, when asked for plates, assume that everyone needs a plate for their food rather than asking each person if they really need a plate to eat with. When serving a large bowl of soup for multiple people to share, serve it with a ladle not a table spoon. Also, when taking back unused plates(because you just dumped a huge stack on the table rather than handing them out to each person) don’t add snide comments such as «Well, I’m going to have to wash these anyway.» My response to that was«Do you really wash the dishes here?» Your response to that was«No, I don’t.» Good for you. I’m going to say the service at this place was horrible(at least during the lunch hour on a Thursday). All in all the food was good for lunch during your work day, head back to the office after that. No magical moments here for sure.

Where do I begin?! I absolutely love this place. I’ve been going to Bangkok City off bird road for a LOOOONG time. I heard about Siam Bistro in the Herald and I was tempted. I’ve eaten here several times since and I’m never going back to Bangkok City. I live 5 min from Bangkok City and almost 20 minutes from Siam Bistro… that says enough on it’s own. There is a reason why this restaurant is almost at 5 stars across the board. The food is traditional Thai, tastes exactly like it should. Everything is fresh-made-to-order! The food is fairly priced. I’ve ordered the Chicken Massamon, Pad-thai, Pal-Som-Lort and I’ve yet to be disappointed. Thank you Siam Bistro for providing traditional authentic Thai flavors.

Ok Thai food. We were not super impressed. The peanut sauce was actually very tasty, but everything else was kind of mediocre. We love curry dishes so we each got a different one. I got massamun curry and Mr. O got panang. We love Thai food and have had these dishes at lots and lots of restaurants. The curries we got here were not bad but they were not the greatness that we usually experience with curries. Each of the curries we ordered have their own special flavor(typically) but these were blandish and almost tasted the same to us. They were very different from any massamun or panang curry we’ve encountered in the past. In this case that was not a good thing. Very bland and blah. With so many other Thai places in the area we probably won’t return here.

I’ve come here before but this is my first check in. My boyfriend eats here all the time for lunch and can’t stop singing its praises! I have to agree with him, everything is on point! Their pad Thai with shrimp was the best I’ve ever had! Garlic chicken is great, so is their papaya salad, crispy duck, and their curry is amazing. If you haven’t tried them, you should cuz you’re missing out. Service is great too! Just beware they close at 3:30pm and reopen at 5.

Never thought in a thousand years that this hidden gem was located in this old strip mall… I’ve been to it a million times and never noticed that this restaurant was there. I just love when Unilocal is right, this place was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is nice and clean, homie and big, the staff is attempting and on point. the owner was there and came to our table more than once to see how things where going. We ordered spring rolls, special thai rice and the crispy duck… everything was very good specially that duck yummmyyyy! I can’t wait to go back and try more stuff.

Never had a bad experience ! I always come to this family run restaurant to get my fix of volcano chicken ! Lunch special is great it comes with soup, spring roll, rice, and volcano chicken :) Super delish ! I also love their soup I can go any day just for the soup and I would be satisfied. On a couple occasions I’ve had the curry too and let me tell you they know how to make a mean curry ! I recommend the duck green curry it’s amazing !

Completely decent Thai food from a family-restaurant with awesome service. Vietnamese here can be a little underwhelming, but in general Miami doesn’t have a pallet for Vietnamese food… yet. I’m here almost every Tuesday before I hit up the board game meet-up at the nearby Rock gaming store. Try their DUI noodles or their basil stir fry – got mine extra spicy with tofu and it was glorious. Good atmosphere for a casual date. Two for $ 7 Singhas. Can’t go wrong, really.

I kept hearing about this place in Kendall, and after so much buzz, I decided to make the pilgrimage. Nam Sod, delicious!!! Curry puffs and spring rolls were pretty good. Try the three friendship. It’s truly delicious! Didn’t care for the Triple threat sampler. I was underwhelmed with the Thai Steak, however the pad Thai was very good. The verdict? Great Homemade Food served with a friendly smile. However«Best Thai in Miami?» Not entirely sure. But it’s pretty darn good and that’s comforting enough if you happen to be in the area, especially considering the choices around here!

This is a family run business that pours a lot of hard work and love into their food. Definitely the closest you can get to authentic thai food in Miami. The owner is always there and helps with recommendations. They are very accommodating for vegetarians, willing to adjust the food items to not include meat. Also, every menu item can be adjusted so you can select which meat you want. The portion sizes are huge, so you are definitely getting your moneys worth. While you’re there you should try the thai iced coffee :-)

This place is so good! Inside the menu, there is a Herald cut out of their story of how they came to be, and you look up, serving you is the owner! Him and his wife are always there, and very friendly and attentive. They always greet you with a smile. The green curry is perfect, you can taste the coconut milk in it. The sticky rice, three friendship, the thai tea, the pad thai, eggplant, it’s all sooo yummy. I always have to get the papaya salad, crunchy and perfect! We are always so full by the time they ask if we care for a dessert, so I can’t say anything about what to try. It’s a nice hole in the wall place, with authentic Thai food that will leave you wanting to come back for more!
