Here I am, firing another salvo in my probably-futile campaign to review more Starbucks locations than the legendary Vanessa S. I do live near quite a few of them, though, so my failure won’t be for lack of trying. This isn’t the most stylin’ Starbucks around — basically a large, well-lit rectangular room with a little quiet nook adjacent to the condiment bar. Staff, like most locations, is up/down as to its collective skill with the steam wand, but since this store gets fairly steady volume, service is almost always quick no matter who’s making the drinks. I don’t come here as often as I used to now that I have nothing for which to study. This store is great for studying, as it’s well-lit, has ample seating, and that quiet nook I mentioned above, if you really need to concentrate. It’s a good place to really dig in with the books for a few hours. It’s also a good place to spot Pinecrest MILFs on the way to their 11AM yoga class. But what would I know about that, because those«sick days» I sometimes take are spent writhing in agony at home with a thermometer dangling pathetically from my lips, not pretending to read at the Suniland Starbucks whilst watching hot 40-year-old women in Lycra dumping Splenda into their lattes.

Sometimes cleanliness is an issue but the staff is friendly and the coffee is fresh. A good way to tell if the brewed coffee is fresh is if the drip machine is blinking(red light means good, flashing light/light off = bad coffee). Never had problems with this store, it is spacious inside but also has good outside seating to the side.

I digged this Starbuck’s ambiance and nice open floorplan. It’s located in the Suniland Plaza a block south of Kendall Toyota’s dealership(easily walkable). I ended up killing time here waiting for my car to be fixed up ~ it was a breeze with the wi-fi connection, friendly baristas, and quiet atmosphere(laptop professionals, young moms, newspaper readers). Nice comfy sofa chairs and plenty of tabletops and chairs for you to choose from. Big open glass windows kept the place nicely lit with warm sunshine, perfect for chilling out to on an afternoon.
